I have so many thoughts about Chaos Theory and I know that I will be camping in this tag for a long time but before I sort out everything I have to say I want to say this:

one of the best scenes, and I mean possibly one of the best scenes in both JWCT and JWCC is Kenji's breakdown after his father's death. It is so heartbreaking and makes so much sense. Kenji who had a very complicated relationship with Daniel all of his life but who also always recognized him as his father - Daniel Kon someone whose absence Kenji always felt so deeply, finally, truly and ultimately gone.

Because it's a completely different situation when you choose to pretend that someone doesn't exist and when that person is truly and ultimately gone.

I applaud the creators for making Kenji's reaction so painful and real.

Kenji saying "I can't lose Bumpy too" and turning away actually broke my heart. He's lost so much, and he keeps losing so much.

He spent his whole childhood craving for his dad to love him for who he is. He then finally finds a family that do accept him for who he is, and he loses them. And when he finally starts to put himself first, he loses the girl he loves and the boy he calls his brother.

And then he finds a common ground with his dad and he loses him too.

His breakdown scene will haunt me forever. He deserves so much better.

I am so glad he has his camp fam around him to support him.

I’m probably gonna be chased around with pitchforks and torches when I say this but like…..hear me out on Raptor Lady….

LEMME EXPLAIN LEMME EXPLAIN. Shes such a mysterious and interesting character. Like what is her deal? And why is she frolicking with atrociraptors anyways???? Speaking of her raptors, I LOVE how she actually cares abt them and doesnt force em to do stuff if they’re injured. Like you can tell she loves her raptors. That is totally my fav trope thingy abt villains; actually caring abt their henchmen/minions beiebwjenjejekejjc.

And strangely enough, I LOVEEEE her design. Her uncanniness had me discombobulated seeing her on screen for the first time. I was debating whether or not she was a robot, or a walking corpse, but NOPE. Shes a human. A creepy one to say the least. (She reminds me of Death from the second Puss in Boots movie, like they have the same uncanny vibe) Her bright blue eyes and her wack ass hair add to the creepiness BUT I LOVE ITTTT IT SUITS HER SO WELLLLL.

Now I’m seeing people say Daniel Kon redeemed himself by saving Kenji?? No the fuck he didn’t??? He was still an awful, awful person that ignored the nublar distress beacon, emotionally manipulated Kenji like a puppet, abused dozens of critically endangered animals, and tried to kill a group of children. In that moment, he didn’t want to see Kenji torn to shreds. He did one good thing. But that does not cancel out all the bad he’s done. And it does not fucking make him good.

There is one thing that truly makes me happy: the entire Jurassic Park community agrees that the Chaos Theory series is one of the best productions since the first movie. Both old and new fans are all conviced by this series, and it's a good thing for the future of the franchise!
