Unstable doesn't really begin to describe him. He's an.. interesting character, to say the least. For those unfamiliar:

He's one of those fitness influencers who constantly hawks products and diet plans and is absolutely notorious for claiming for years that he doesn't use any sort of steroids (he does and has admitted to it) while having blowups at the drop of a hat over minor things. This is far from the first time he's gotten in this sort of trouble. I don't think he's ever done anything bad or notable aside from lie and try to be an internet tough guy but this is absolutely on brand for him.

Happy pride month to my dad. When I came out as bi to him, this man googled what it ment, look at me and said "ohh. Yeah. You get that from me. You'd have far more siblings of I only shaged women." And went right back to his work emails.

I can confirm that it was like this in California too. Cons were flooded with Lonks for years. I miss streetpass so much. This got way funnier for a year after Bravely Default came out. For people unfamiliar it's a JRPG with a bunch of silly nonsense mechanics, one of which is a 'broadcast' action you can use in combat which records the next action a character takes and puts it in your streetpass data. People you pass with collect those actions and can use them once to summon the broadcasted character to do their thing. The accepted meta broadcast is a high-level combo resurrection+heal spell that hits the full party, so it's basically everyone is now alive and usually at full health when used. Like 2/3rds of the passes you'd get would be this spell at varying levels.

ANYWAY here come the Lonks. The lonks would consistently have the absolute dumbest broadcasts you can imagine, anything from self-damage skills to a skill that made you throw money at the enemy. ALL OF THEM DID THIS. IT WAS AMAZING

TVTropes gets made fun of a lot but it is a little astonishing how consistent that wiki's voice is. It's a great wiki to go to if you want to simulate having one specific autistic fifteen-year-old computer nerd infodump to you about any piece of media that exists. To be clear I am saying this as an overwhelmingly positive thing
