It’s aromantic awareness week!

An aromantic person is someone who doesn’t feel romantic attraction. This is the briefest description ever though, so if anyone wants to know more about it just shoot me a message and I’d be happy to answer any questions!

Note: Obviously not all aromantic people value friendship or other relationships more than alloromantic people (people who DO feel romantic attraction), and those aro people are just as valid and nice! <3

1. hoping things will get worse for black and brown americans is racist. idk how else to explain to y’all that wishing ill on black and brown americans is still racism and still antiblack ‘even though’ they’re americans. as if black and brown americans have any fucking say in the government and as if they’re not directly and instantly harmed by the actions of their government while your white ass is safe and retweeting in bumfuck netherlands talking abt you’ve never been racist but you’re cool with americans of color dying bc somehow you’re the real victim of white supremacy in america.

2. your country has always had racists and fascists. always. your country has never not had fascists. the rise of fascism all over the world didn’t happen out of nowhere. trump didn’t get elected and one day millions of white europeans woke up and decided to be bigots after a whole lifetime of loving poc and muslims and jewish ppl. trump only emboldened the fascists your country’s always had. and you’re one of them.

3. the deaths of black and brown ppl and the oftentimes irreparable damage that they will suffer at the hands of the government and white supremacists will not fix your government. wake the fuck up and get your head out of your ass. white supremacists attacking the capitol is in no way putting the trump or biden government in danger, it will only affect poc and muslim and jewish americans, the ppl you supposedly have always loved and protected. the attack on the dc capitol is literally only going to make your fascist government realize they can do the same thing with their own domestic terrorists.
