I feel like the live action lilo and stitch movie could’ve worked, if it wasn’t related to lilo and stitch in the slightest. I’ve seen the interviews and it’s obvious that they really wanted to make a faithful adaptation, and in SOME ways, they did.

The cgi looks alright, I don’t hate any of the actors yet, and…. oh wait that’s it. Yeah those are really the only two things I think are great . Everything else I either didn’t mind, or just didn’t mind because why would I have any strong feelings about this film?

Why because of the ending of course. But here’s the thing. This “extended ohana” ending could’ve worked. If the film wasn’t set in Hawaii, didn’t have any of the alien stuff, leaned more into the melodrama- what I’m asking for is a hallmark special and if I need to just forget what movie this was based on for the ending to be good, then it’s not a good adaptation.

Also, was it secretly an ad for the Disney resort in Hawaii? Duh. What did you expect?

Overall, it could qualify as propaganda according to the definition that Siri gave me

But do you really think I care about this film enough to carefully decide whether it’s a simple mistake or a plan to desensitize everyone and make them get used to children being taken away. Because honestly, I don’t care about how much of a propaganda machine this movie is, I’m talking about it as a film.

And as a film it’s mid, I’m feeling a Strong 5. Definitely one of the better live action remakes.

people have gotten into such a weird mood about nintendo lately I've noticed since the switch 2 has been revealed like I made a post just talking about how I think they should put Mario Paint on the switch 2 and someone showed up in my replies to say "Nintendo Switch 2 is the biggest scam in the history of gaming" and just ??? like. you can just say you don't like it, or you don't like the prices, or you don't think the features are worth it, or etc. like. I don't understand the anger and hyperbole I keep seeing. you just don't have to get the console if you don't want it. its okay its just video games
