You should limit the amount of snacks you eat to between 100 and 150 calories. This will ensure that you don't exceed your daily calories. It is acceptable to eat three meals each of 400 calories and two to three snacks each of 100-150 calories a day if you have a daily calorie limit of 1600 calories. To lose weight and maintain a healthy eating pattern, you should be able to eat within the calorie limit.

Air-popped popcorn is my favorite healthy snack food. A cup of popcorn, two cups worth, that was cooked in the microwave and left out all flavorings, is about 60 calories. This gives you an enormous boost as it makes you feel like you've had a lot of food to snack on. This snack is great for friends who come to visit, and it's also something they can enjoy. If I were to visit your home, I'd enjoy air-popped popcorn.
