so i finished gregg araki’s teenage apocalypse trilogy (which i accidentally watched backwards, but tbh i think that was the best way to watch it) and i feel that my life is shifted. new personality unlocked. every movie was so signature and fascinating, and tonally DIFFERENT. yes, all of them had a focus on queerness, anti-heteronormativity, and nihilism, but in such different ways. so many more thoughts to come.
