Couldn’t make an AU without hamfisting my own OC, so here is Honey in the Sunshine Valley AU!

Following the typical Stardew path, Honey makes a start in the valley as a means of starting over. I picture her specifically wanting to isolate and lock herself away with this move, so having a new roommate in Jack leads to some growing pains. She is even able to get the courage to get to know the people living in town (including one already familiar face).

“But there’s so much to do here on the farm! Here, let’s care of the animals- Oh, no need to go to town for feed! We’ve got all the natural grass in the fields up here. Don’t you think this is better?”

Nick, as he appears in my Sunshine Valley AU!

Nick is definitely the one I had the hardest time thinking of a good role for, and therefore is the one who changes the least from canon (still an online nsfw personality and all that). I can’t help but feel like I cheated, but I didn’t want to stray too far either.

Next up for Sunshine Valley AU, Shaun (+Moonpie!)

As Shaun is a canon movie maker, I thought it would be cute to have him be a horror writer in the AU, living in a cabin in the woods neighboring the players own farm. I’d like to think he came to the Valley as a writing retreat, but discovered he loves living in nature, and has taken to country life quite well. He’s no recluse, however, and is more than happy to get to know the player. Although, with someone around to properly take care of the old farm, some forces may start to wonder if the owner of the cabins has outstayed his welcome in the woods…

As far as the history of the Valley is concerned, I have some vague ideas but nothing too concrete. Something along the lines of the town once being owned by a defunct studio once used to encourage people to come visit and settle down, but the studios closure leaving the town a shell of its former self. No one in town discusses this, perhaps because of some great disgrace/tragedy?

Another piece for my Sunshine Valley AU, this time with Ian!

I picture Ian, in a similiar vein of the player/mc, needing to get away from the stress of a busy life (in his case, his acting career), and finds himself working at the small towns flower and seed shop, as he had family in the area he can live with. He’s actually surprised to find that MC had the same idea, and wants to make up for his past misdeeds any way he can.

Running the towns only seed and supply shop, you’re sure to meet with him fairly often. Let’s hope that the farmhand won’t mind too much…

With the new Stardew Valley update, fixations combine, so… Sunshine Valley AU!

Im thinking that in the AU, the player moves to a small rural town in hopes of a more meaningful and grounded life, taking over their Grandpa’s old farmhouse. Only, they find the old mascot of the town living there, and he is so happy to not be alone anymore! He hopes you can bring the Sunshine back to the Valley, but is he planning on keeping you all to himself?

I definitely want to draw the other boys and profile cards for the AU, I’ve got a few ideas for how they can fit in as villagers in town~

I’ve been dreaming of a true love’s kiss…

I’ve had the Enchanted soundtrack in my head lately and I couldn’t help myself in drawing my girl Honeymoon (Honey in SST AU), pining for true love’s kiss! It was a lot of fun making the cobbled together Jack, I like to think she used bluebird feathers for the hair 💙

Something I’ve been thinking a lot about is the Sunny Time Town AU, I’ve been wanting to make a design for my OC Honey.

Introducing Honeymoon! Whereas Honey is more grounded and a wishful thinker when it comes to love, Honeymoon is a dreamer who is captivated with the idea of true love~

And finally, Honey as she appears currently; ie, during the start of the game. The years have not been kind to her, so of course she lets herself fall for the lovebombing ghost clown. Someone who can bring back that sense of sunshine…

Off topic, I was thinking about how Honey’s relationship with Nick could be, but tbh I don’t know if I have much to go on from the demo alone. Here’s hoping for more in the updated demo coming out soon!

Next up; Honey as she appears during her college days! She has definitely opened since highschool thanks in part to her new best friend Shaun! I’m actually hoping to draw more of Shaun in the future, he’s definitely my favorite outside of Jack and is objectively the healthiest choice imo lol. I like to think of their dynamic as a Right Person Wrong Time kind of thing

I’ve been thinking more about Honey’s dynamics and relationships to characters outside of Jack, and just fleshing her more out in general outside of my own head. Though it would be fun to draw her in some life stages, starting with highschool and her relationship with Ian!
