Tarot F/O Ask Game: Major Arcana
I love tarot and ask games, so why not combine the two? This is my very first ask game for the selfship community, and is designed to be used for F/Os of any type (or even S/Is). If this game is well-received, I may do ask games based on the minor arcana, as well. Please practice reblog karma!
0. The Fool - What helps your F/O connect to their inner child? What reignites their sense of innocence and/or adventure?
1. The Magician - What does your F/O do when they have to take action? Are they one to meticulously plan what they need to do, or do they just wing it?
2. The High Priestess - How does your F/O react to the larger questions of the universe and existence? Do they think or believe anything that brings them comfort in the face of these unknowns?
3. The Empress - How comfortable is your F/O when they are out in nature? Are there any environments they prefer or despise? Or are they a truly urban creature who thinks a city park is roughing it?
4. The Emperor - How does your F/O view authority figures? If they are an authority figure themselves, how do they wield that responsibility?
5. The Hierophant - How does your F/O view tradition? Are there any they are especially fond of or especially despise?
6. The Lovers - What does your F/O value most about your relationship? Is it the same as or different than what you value the most?
7. The Chariot - Would your F/O consider themselves a success? What is their biggest success in life?
8. Strength - What is your F/O's greatest source of strength or courage? How often do they have to be brave?
9. The Hermit - How often does your F/O need time alone? Are they more introspective during this time, or do they prefer doing activities that take their mind off things?
10. Wheel of Fortune - How lucky is your F/O? What is the luckiest thing that has ever happened to them? (Or the weirdest coincidence, if they don't believe in luck.)
11. Justice - What is your F/O's relationship like with the law? Are they a law-abiding citizen? If not, do they follow an internal code of conduct, or are they fighting against an unjust system?
12. The Hanged Man - How easy is it for your F/O to consider new perspectives? Is this something they do willingly, or do they need to be shaken up first?
13. Death - How does your F/O deal with endings? How easily do they move on?
14. Temperance - In what area does your F/O have the most self-control? Does self-control in general come easily to them, or is it difficult?
15. The Devil - What is your F/O's greatest vice or temptation? Is it something they're actively working on, or do they give in to it?
16. The Tower - What is the most life-altering upheaval your F/O has faced, if any? How did it change them and/or their life?
17. The Star - How hopeful is your F/O? What gives them a sense of hope when they are feeling down?
18. The Moon - How easy is it to worry your F/O? What kinds of things worry them?
19. The Sun - What does your F/O like to do for fun? Do they find more pleasure in big or little things?
20. Judgement - What are other characters' opinions of your F/O? How harshly or fairly do others judge them? Would your F/O agree with their assessment?
21. The World - What gives your F/O a sense of fulfillment? Do they have it, or are they still looking for it?
BONUS QUESTION! - If your F/O were any of these cards, which would they be?

Imagine being the one that's able to calm your F/O during their moments of rage/breakdowns/spirals/etc. Imagine others always saying "get s/i", because they know you'll be the one who's able to help. Imagine seeing your F/O's shoulders relax as soon as you grasp their hand, their breathing slowing as they turn to look at you, their gaze softening as they catch their reflection in your loving eyes...Maybe you can't stop these moments from happening all together, but loving them and being there for them when they do happen helps bring them back to earth.

Imagine your f/o(s) stepping in front of you protectively when someone threatens you.
They don’t need to be especially big or good at fighting, and they don’t care. Even if they are much smaller than you or the threat, or not particularly strong, it is still their instinct to keep the one they love safe. A fire burns in their eyes, silently saying that they will never let anyone hurt you, no matter the cost.

Imagine your F/O(s) doing a reaaaalllll big stretch and letting out a little noise as they do it. What's your next move. Grabbing them at the sides and make them curl up cause you suddenly attacked them or immediately asking them if they're sleepy
Or vice versa, your F/O(s) seeing you stretch and letting out a little noise and having a reaction over it

if someone's ever a dick to you about not liking your f/o for some stupid reason and you feel silly for getting upset, just know your f/o would do the same for you if the roles were reversed. they would defend you with their life.

I love you mentally ill selfshippers
I love you self diagnosed mentally ill selfshippers
I love you mentally ill selfshippers who can’t get help due to their personal circumstances
I love you mentally ill selfshippers of minority statuses who can’t get help due to the racism/misogyny/ableism/other forms of bigotry in the medical system
I love you mentally ill selfshippers with stigmatized mental illnesses (i.e: psychotic disorders, cluster B personality disorders like narcissistic personality disorder, schizophrenia)
I love you mentally ill selfshippers who often feel like dangers to themselves and others
I love you mentally ill selfshippers who struggle making and keeping friends in the community due to their mental illnesses
I love you mentally ill selfshippers who have a hard time relating to a lot of popular posts about mental health positivity because their symptoms are much more severe than the ones they typically go over
I love you mentally ill selfshippers who treat their relationships with their F/Os “more seriously” than most people would
I love you mentally ill selfshippers who project their mental illnesses onto their F/Os
I love you mentally ill selfshippers whose F/Os are the only reason they’re alive
I know it’s hard not to feel like an outsider in the community sometimes, but if you need confirmation at least someone out there is thinking of you and loves you, this is it. Your F/Os love you just as much, if not, even more.

F/O sleepily rubbing your back. Snuggling up closer to F/O. F/O pulling you in closer with a contented sigh.
So, so sleepy. Sleepy cuddles. Sleepy breathing.
Warm. Loved.

To any selfshipper who struggles with anxiety,
it's okay to seek comfort and peace in your f/o.
Whenever fear starts to creep in, they are always there; calm, patient, and unwavering. They don’t rush or push; instead, they create a safe space just for you. Whether it’s a gentle touch on your hand, a soft voice whispering comforting words, or just sitting quietly by your side, they hope their presence alone helps your overwhelming thoughts fade away.
They know exactly how to help without overwhelming you. Maybe it’s guiding you through slow, deep breaths, or reminding you of how far you’ve come. Sometimes, they’ll wrap you in a warm hug that feels like a shield against all the worries.
They want to be there for you. They want it to be a shared struggle where you both fight side by side; it's not fair for you to face it alone - you deserve to be held through it. And they won't leave you until your heartbeat softens, until your racing mind slows down and your hands stop shaking.

for selfshippers out there who have intrusive thoughts surrounding their f/os;
they would NOT do that to you. whatever it is, your f/o loves you and would NEVER EVER NEVER do anything to harm you ever never. no matter what your brain tries to tell you.
