Reblog this if you’re pro-receiving a brown paper package containing one (1) handwritten love letter, a small jar of strawberry jam from the farmers market, and a smattering of pressed flowers.

You walk in the door, and stomp your boots before taking them off on the rubber mat. I'm in the kitchen, a savory stew hot on the stove, full of vegetables and rice and spices. You come up behind me, and wrap your arms around my waist. I laugh and gently, gently bat at your hands, whining about how cold they are. (You forgot your gloves again, even though I reminded you to take them before you left.)
I pull a mug of cocoa, still steaming, and press it into your hands, and usher you to the table. Its properly winter now, so I've brought out the giant fleece tablecloth that touches the floor all the way around, and tucked the space heater under it so we can eat with our feet getting warm. We sit together, with a rich meal and soft bread, and you tell me about your day. We laugh and we tease and we bump ankles and share secret smiles. Later I will turn off the heater, and we will curl up either in bed or on the couch, swaddled in soft throw blankets and heavy quilts while we wait out the cold.
And I love you.

ive only seen a few posts mention this but do you know why for some (usually nonbinary) lesbians the way femininity is expressed feels closer to how a gay man would express feminity rather than a woman? or where i could find info on this? i never knew how to put it into words but hopefully this ask makes sense. i only realized im nonbinary this year and i know I'm not a trans man, but this feeling along with gender incongruence has me all confused. anyway ty and i love your blog! ❤
lesbians barely have anything in common with straight women and our relationship with femininity and our own identity is shaped by the fact that we’re lesbians, we’re part of the lgbt community. gay men are also seen as some sort of “not really a man” just like lesbians are seen as “not really a woman” for not being attracted to women. those experiences can bring us together and make us understand each other. so it’s perfectly understandable and a lesbian may feel more connected with and feel closer to a gay man expressing femininity, because we share going through many things together than with straight women that don’t really have their relationship with femininity shaped by their sexuality the way we do.
