new species concept, v rough wip

what i know is they’re blind, and the only sounds they can hear are sounds that are typically unheard (like a heartbeat) what they lack in sight/hearing they make up for in very sharp senses. they got sensory pits, and those whiskers are ridiculously sensitive. this is the most basic look for them, they come in many varieties (pygmy, scaled, feathered, smooth skinned like a seal?) name pending. anyway tell me what u guys think! they were inspired by a lot of things, stuff like snakes/ferrets and general monsters. started out as a doodle n i fell in love
