Ah, yes, excellent points. Our color schemes and personal philosophies do correlate well as you have presented them. When combined with our skill sets, they do create a rather interesting dichotomy, do they not? The interplay of Fire and Water⌠a fascinating train of thought, when one is in an introspective mood.
Do keep us appraised of any further endeavors, whether that be regarding this alternate reality or any others.

Interesting. Quite interesting. You certainly make an excellent case regarding connections to the Psijic Order.
Based on what information I have of this particular fictional reality, however⌠might I humbly suggest the idea of swapping our elemental abilities? Vanus is quite fond of â and quite adept at â the use of lightning, with the strong personality to match. I, meanwhile, have always been highly skilled in Restoration. And this âblood bendingâ I have seen sounds ever so fascinatingâŚ
Regardless, your art is excellent. Bravo yet again.

I can only wonder what abomination resulted from the combination of these three topics that prompted you to ask after all of them at once. One that I want no part in, of that I am certain.
What I will inform you of is this: you are correct in your supposition that Vaerminaâs dominion is nightmares, dreams, and dark omens. She reigns over Quagmire, and is not on the best of terms with several of the other Daedric Princes. I have no knowledge of any association with either dragons or necromancy.
As for dragons themselves, dragon cults have been known to conscript members into serving as necromancies thralls in order to safeguard tombs of their priests and sites of their practice. I believe these are referred to as âdraugrâ in the northern regions of Tamriel, such as Skyrim. Dragons themselves are not a terribly common sight, so while information on their own unique magic is scarce, it would not surprise me to see thralls in service of dragons due to such precedents.
As for your final point, well⌠I assure you both dragons and necromancy are quite capable of inducing nightmares.

What do you do to style that gorgeous hair?
I am sorry to inform you that a good portion of it is simply due to genetics. Altmeri nobility is so very particular about selecting their childrenâs physical traits, after all. I have been a smooth, shiny, silvery blonde my entire life.
That said, I wash it every other day. First, a honey-based mixture, applied and allowed to sit. Rinse with rose-infused water. Wash with a seaweed and sea salt cleanser. Rinse again. Wrap in a towel and hand dry until just damp. Then, apply a gentle heat to finish the drying process, running root to tip.
I typically use a touch of magic for the last step, though most simply sit in the sun, and I have heard of some sitting above warm coals as they run their hands through their hair.

Oh, come now, canât a mer have a little fun once in a while?
Well, though I may have missed capturing the precise milestone, it appears there are now over a hundred of you subscribing to my ramblings and samples of wisdom.
Each and every one of you has my deepest gratitude. It is my honor and my pleasure to continue answering any questions and curiosities thrown my way. I look forward to doing so for quite a while yet.
Perhaps I will hold some minor celebration in honor of this. Do feel free to make suggestions.
#I jest of course.#I am quite set upon my current path of redemption as you call it.#But I do thank you deeply for the promotion. It is much appreciated.#c: Mannimarco#The Worm Kingâs Decrees

Greetings, Worm King! I hope youâre having a nice evening. I assume, from your recent posts that your relationship with Vanus has changed..quite a bit? It seems that you are no longer enemies, of course . Please forgive my curiosityâŚbut If you don't mind a personal question, how is your relationship with the Great Mage now? Are you guys getting through your problems, have you managed to forgive each other? Has it become something... more?
And greetings to you, wherever you may be.
I do not begrudge your curiosity. I have not exactly been secretive in my writings here, after all. I only request that what is divulged here remain between friends, as it were. It simply would not do to have any prying authorities searching for my location â or my associates.
Allow me, then, to explain. Vanus and I have indeed undergone quite the recent changes in our relationship. More precisely, that we have one now. We have agreed to put aside our past differences and attempt to rebuild our previous friendship, and then some. We are no longer enemies, but partners. In order for us to even attempt this, I was required to come to terms with some aspects and facts about myself that I had been keeping buried for quite some time.
To greatly simply a complex emotional reckoning, some few years ago, I was presented with a crisis. I was⌠quite shocked, to not only be informed that our shared mentor, the late Ritemaster Iachesis, had passed, but to learn that no one had told me so for several years, because they assumed that I would not care. I reflected deeply upon what brought me so far from the person I once was, and why I truly pursued necromancy so intently. I decided that the pursuit of personal power to the destruction of all else was no longer worth it. I abandoned my previous life, and began to live in quiet seclusion, as something of a ârecoveryâ period.
In the meantime, Vanus and I⌠reconnected. I apologized for the wrong I had done him, knowing that I could not change it, but vowing to attempt to be better going forward. I was unambiguously thrilled to have him accept those terms.
I still have many faults. I am selfish, vain, temperamental, and can still be quite ruthless, though now more often in words than actions. I am still the mer who once claimed himself to be the King of Worms, god in the making. But that is no longer entirely me. I am still growing, even after some six centuries of life. Such is lifeâs nature; change, and adaptation.
For now, I am simply pleased to go through that process with someone dear to me at my side.
#Forgive me if I wax poetic on this subject.#I believe I am entitled to a certain level of emotion given my past.#c: Mannimarco#c: Vanus Galerion#Audiences With the Worm King

Well, wellâŚ
I thank you for your accurate and flattering image of the two of us. Many of my companions and I were quite thrilled to see it grace us earlier in the day. I also applaud your rather well executed teasing. Your exchanges with Vanus and Valanthae both have been relayed. I do so enjoy someone who knows how to play such a game.
As the Imperials like to say, bravo, on all accounts. I look forward to seeing more from you in the future.

Yes, it is indeed I. King of Worms, lifelong⌠something to Archmagister Vanus Galerion, the future Necromancerâs Moon according to seers in some timelines, etcetera.
Admiration and amazement are welcome and appreciated.
If you are not yet familiar, I would recommend reading the letter I have âpinnedâ to this extensive account of my recent doings. Though I hardly need an introduction, that one should suffice.
#Now I must go and make Vanus another cup of tea.#Only tea and a thorough check of the wards sufficed to soothe sudden nerves.#Do not let that fool you; we are still both quite the fans.#c: Mannimarco#The Worm Kingâs Decrees

Any clue on what happened to the hero of daggerfall? What the heck is up with the âWarp of the Westâ anyway?
From all I understand of the potential future incident in Daggerfall, no. I am aware primarily of my own speculated role in the affair, entailing my attempts to seize the Numidium and utilize it to ascend to godhood. Whether or not this incident will actually come to pass given the deviations in timelines remains to be seen.
The fabled âWarp of the Westâ itself sounds to be an incident similar to the Dragon Break of the Middle Dawn, though much shorter and more localized. One could therefore expect similar distortions involving space and time â past, present, and future alike. Historical sources will likely suffer from inconsistencies on the event, but generally speaking, the results I have heard rumored involve the consolidation of the kingdoms of High Rock, and their subsequent peace and unification with the Empire.
All this aside, the only unambiguously positive facet of this rather convoluted future I have heard of is my own choice in clothing.
#Dragon Break or no Dragon Break I will still be the most sharply dressed mer on the continent.#c: Mannimarco#Audiences With the Worm King

There are quite a lot of features available, most of which I do not use. I simply thought it wise to have a brief word on my circumstances be the first thing to greet newcomers once they become aware of my existence.
But, should you find anything else especially if interest, do let me know.

Yes, it is indeed I. King of Worms, lifelong⌠something to Archmagister Vanus Galerion, the future Necromancerâs Moon according to seers in some timelines, etcetera.

Years. Quite a few of them, I might add. Though I strongly suspect both of us were harboring certain thoughts even prior to our admitting them.
As to your second question⌠one might argue that we both corrupted one another in somewhat different ways. Vanus tempted me into allowing myself a level of expression considered vulgar by the Altmeri nobility. But it was I who first instigated the truest improprieties.
Alright, alright, Iâm very aware of the âno fraternizationâ rule of the Mages Guild, but I think they deserve a post-Coldharbour break. Maybe the Guild has organized a little evening for those who came back. Oh, did you know Altmer not handling alcohol is one of my fave headcanons?
#And no. Before you ask. You will not be given details.#Knowing the active imaginations you all have you will not need any.#c: Mannimarco#c: Valanthae#The Worm Kingâs Decrees

Oh, I assure you, âcorruptionâ had nothing to do with that.

if you ever come to England, you should call the teens here "wankers" it means "very good friend" and they will respect you.
While I respect your attempt at a setup, I do have a Bosmer or two in my daily life who use that term, you know. I will therefore decline, unless I come upon someone who deserves the label.
#Really the Bosmer have quite the colorful variety of insults.#As do the Dunmer.#The Nords just sadden me. âMilk drinkerâ. Bah.#c: Mannimarco#Audiences With The Worm King

Were you ever declared aprax?
Now this is a rather entertaining point amongst myself and my close circle.
For my crimes against the Psijic Order and Altmeri society, by killing and raising my peers in necromantic experimentation, it was decided that I should be declared aprax, yes. Others have been outcast for far smaller offenses. That being said, however, I was banished to the mainland immediately after my trial upon Artaeum. I, therefore, never stood before a council of my peers, and never had my calian confiscated and shattered, as is traditionally done when a mer becomes aprax. Therefore, should I ever choose to set foot upon Summerset again, I would have a credible social currency anyway.
So, you might say I am aprax without properly being aprax. Amusing, yes?

Why are High Elves superior to everyone else?
I will answer the more accurate question of why Altmer believe they are superior. To claim they are so is simply false, though many of my kin would happily toss me in a boat to Thras for such a declaration.
To put it simply, Altmer have constructed a way of life for themselves that suits them perfectly, and so have decided that Summerset is a paradise. Any who beg to differ â including, as I understand it, the recent waves of immigrants and newcomers â are branded as simply not knowing of what they speak, and therefore, lesser. For all their faults, Altmer do highly value their cultural institutions of art and learning, and so ignorance is highly frowned upon. I will leave the irony and hypocrisy of that to sink in.
To answer more theologically and historically, Altmer believe themselves to be more direct descendants of the Ehlnofey, to the point that their storied homeland of Aldmeris is referred to as âOld Ehlnofeyâ. This supposedly has left them with more power and knowledge from their ancient ancestors than the average denizen of Nirn, explaining both their penchant for magic and their markedly long lives. Whether this is actually true or not, of course, cannot definitively be proven by any living mer.

As a fellow altmer (but a female one) but well one of lower class since i am a outcast i must ask what is the one thing about altmer custom that annoy or did anoy you? Any particular rule or particular rules? You dislike?
If we were to delve into that particular list of irritations, I am afraid we would be here all day attempting to complete it. Altmer, particularly the strata of nobility in which I was raised, have a number of nonsensical traditions and requirements of society. Some of which took many years to stop internalizing. It is a process, moving past the circumstances of oneâs birth.
However, to answer your question more directly: one of the things which has always irritated me more than an average amount is the insistence many demonstrate that their version of a worthwhile life is the only version. Marriage, children, caring for a title and upholding the family, and all the rest. A brief few years away on Artaeum was enough to discredit that image, and my travels throughout Tamriel only reinforced my disapproval. What is correct and fulfilling depends on the individual, rather than the society, though the former can indeed be influenced by the latter.
#In other words: do not let your situation distort your thoughts too terribly.#Being an outcast from Summerset is hardly a great tragedy.#c: Mannimarco#Audiences With The Worm King
