The reason black writers put “X black reader” isn’t to segregate but INCLUDE because majority of fan fics that have “X reader” are NOT made for all readers. They include tiny descriptions that as a white person you might not notice. But we black fans do.

It is all very noticeable. So we as black writers use “Black Reader” as a way to create a space for ourselves in the fandom that we all have a right to enjoy.

"Hey mamas," miles said as he walked towards you as you finished packing up. It didn't bother him that you simply gave him a nod of acknowledgment, he knew you were tired; practice ran 2 in a half hours late and u didn't get much sleep the night before due to miles keeping you busy iykyk.

You tried to grab your bag off the bench but it felt 100 pounds heavier than what it did before practice started. Miles noticed and gently grabbed your hand, pulling it off your bag and pulling you closer to him. As soon as you were close enough to him you lazily wrapped your arms around him and laid your head on his chest, his heartbeat damn there putting you to sleep on your feet.

He wrapped his arms around you, lightly swaying you as he hugged you. "Mi amor try n stay up for me a little longer," he said while chuckling once he saw you about to fall asleep. "... tired.." you mumbled. "Ik mama but we gotta get to the car, then you can sleep in the car, ok?" He said but you only heard bits and pieces because of how tired you are so you completely ignored it. When Miles caught onto that, he let out a breathy laugh before sighing.

"Hmm," he hummed, tapping your thigh to tell you to jump. You let out a small whine before wrapping your arms around miles' neck and tiredly jump, letting him grab the back of your thighs and wrap your legs around his waist. You let out a small yelp when miles jerk you to the side, sitting you on his hip. "I got you I ain't droppin u mama," he said lowly as he grabbed your cheer bag.

He only got three steps in when he felt your grip loosen and your head plop onto his shoulder. "You coo baby?" He asked. When he was met with silence he chuckled to himself knowing you were asleep. "Lil sleepy ass," he mumbled with a smile.

Miles finally made it to his car. He unlocked the car and opened the backseat door, tossing in your cheer bag and grabbing your baby blue blanket. He closed the door and and opened the passenger door and sat you in the seat. He waited as you got yourself comfortable before putting your seatbelt on and laying your blanket on you. He gently closed your door and went around the car to get in and pull off to chipotle, knowing you're gonna be hungry when you wake up.
