Weird little life update
Nearly a year ago I was in the darkest place I ever have been in. Devastated by the loss of my previous relationship, a full blown alcoholic, a vehicle hoarder, miserable at my full time job, living week to week, stuck in a perpetual cycle I couldn’t escape of suicidal thoughts and negative habits, I decided to make a change. Moved back home to my parents, I became sober, I sold off my hotwheels collection, got rid of a bunch of clothes, started therapy, going to the gym, lost 80 pounds, sold my s13, my astro van, my c2500 and finally hopefully this week, my c3500. I’ve completed real estate agent classes, and will be taking the test within the next month or so. Upon the initial breakup, my father pulled our Malibu out of storage to cheer me up. I registered and insured the Malibu and used it for a brief period as my daily driver earlier this summer. In February as a sobriety present to myself I purchased one of my dream cars, this 2001 Audi A4 Avant. It’s less than ideal, but it’s a manual b5 Avant that makes cool noises. After the loss of my first Audi there always felt a hole in my heart and I’ve finally found a somewhat suitable replacement. Shortly there after my 26th birthday I moved back out of my parents house into an apartment with one of my best friends, I met a girl and we hit it off rather well I reckon. I’ve saved up as much money as I possibly can, I still have the same suck ass job, but that is changing rather soon. It’s a beautiful life, sometimes the worst thing imaginable is what you need to spin your life around. Do what makes you happy, and never change for anyone else.

The legendary Ferrari F40 LM. Created to compete in GTO class, it was debutted at Laguna Seca Raceway in 1989 for the IMSA (International Motorsport Association) series. Despite showing a high degree of success during it’s debut, it was still outclassed by the AWD Audi 90 where it clinched 1-2 with the F40 LM claiming a 3rd place driven by Jean Alesi. It did not appear for IMSA in 1990 but the success saw the creation of a total of 11 other LMs which raced in other racing series such as the JGTC (Japanese Grand Touring Championship) to the BRP Global series

It’s been years since I did actual work to this car. Engine is almost back together 100% and the subframes have been taken out to replace bushings and stock arms for adjustable arms. I have a small amount of rust repair to do and to clean the engine bay up before putting the engine back in. Come to terms with the fact I will never allow myself to start and finish a “build” again unless this car is running. I owe it to this car to finish it
