Week 12
Prototype 3 - Final

I added this new pages for users. Many users gave me feedback that they are confused about what this app stands for and what they have to do. So i added the instructure guidelines so they can read before start the app and get stared with full knowledge.

I have changed the whole colour scheme. I like the new changes because black and white feels more luxury and sensable, also it matches very well to my interface design.
One of my key interface technique is swiping up and down, side to side. I made the edge corner round and added bouncy effects when user interact with it. These effects made the app looks like actually active properly.

Week 12
User testing R1
User 1- Carlos J.Z
“I can’t find booking details”
“Upload is little hard cus confused why I can’t go to ‘HOME’ from uploading from profile”
“The renting was hard as well... I had no idea i had to go to my profile to find my rents and bookings, and there’s a bug when I go to my rentings, it brings me to other things.”
“Another thing on Upload part, without this blue guides box, it’s hard to find upload or don’t know what to click.”
“I would like to interact with dsigners from HOME page, not from the designers click button because it’s annoying to see not something in the Home/main page all the time.”
User 2- Sunjin P
“I can’t find booking details”
“Some texts are too small and this yellow texts are hard to read.”
I’d like to see more information about every pages and instructions/guide.”
User 3- Selena z
“I cannot find renting details”
“If I want to rent, then go to designs? I’m confused about home page and profile page.”
“If I want to check my resnts, I guess I should move to designers section so I can rent and check my details.”
What I need to edit:
1. Uploading my swap confusion
2. Instruction of desigs/ items (Home page)
3. Change profile settings and home page - something that users can get what this page and what this app about.
User Testing R2
In user testing R2. I only test one person but I could get a lot of feedback from the user. The first problem she mentioned was she didn’t really like the idea of having designers because she might feel annoyed by looking at designers page since she wouldn’t really be interested in them.
She also mentioned me about the recomending section. She do shopping a lot and she wants the app to orgnise her styles automatically. She said it’s anniying to see what she is not interested in her main page.
User Testing R3
The last user testing was very helpful because my last user pointed our a lot of things. But not a big change. I had to focus on fixing the detail part.
- I need to change is text. I was used a lot of bold text but they were very bold and it was taking out users attention.
- Spacing between the text
- Margin/ gutter/ columns
- images n
- Fix the profile layout. it’s complecating, messy and confusing. Make it easy and simple.

Week 11
Prototype 1

Prototype 2

Difference from the first prototype to the sencond one is brown softish colour palette. I wanted it to have a match colour with nature and eco friendly, so i used green for nature, used pink for fashion. However, more I designed with green colour palette, it felt more faded away from my concept and it’s not catchy to attention target users. So I changed colour to brown & coffee kind of mood because warm tone gives users confortable and calm feelings to use the app.
WHAT I CREATED ON THE APP
1. HOME PAGE: Home page is the main page which will show the first when it the app is opend.
2. DESIGNERS: Designers page is to help users to see all designer’s profile in one as categorised. Users can click and see every designers details & information- what kind of design they are, what they professional at etc.
If user would like to see their work and posts, they are allowed to see more designer’s work by clicking follow button in their profile.
3. SWAP: Swap button is for the easy access for users to upload their clothes which can be exchanged to other users and also be recylcled / redesigned by designers. This page will guid users to follow the steps of how you upload their items.
4. Bookings: Users wants to make sure if their order is correct and clear to the right address and time/ date. So i create this page for users can check their details of orders/bookings. Current page that I created is a bit messy and hard to find it so I need to fix.
USER TASKS
1. FIND SWAP BUTTON TO UPLOAD YOUR CLOTHES
2. GO TO DESIGNER’S PROFILE AND FOLLOW DESIGNER, EMMA WOODS
3. CHECK YOUR RENT BOOKING DETAILS

Week 3- Summary
Since I have been struggling to decide what project I will be doing I just kept in follw on proccess in class. Role play and mockup was helpful for me to get back to the right track. I realised metaverse/virtual world design is not easy to develop. Also, there’s not much meaning behind it as well.
So I decided to change my topic. I will keep my previous research “DIY Movement” and I will create an eco friendly online shopping website/app which not only motivates consumers to think twice before they buy fashion items, but also sellers/designers should update an eco friendly items.
My topic: ECO friendly online shopping mall
ECO friendly online shopping mall is a clothes brand that only vertified people (industries and individual) by the pollution level system to sell eco friendly clothes only which is global campaign brand to stop pollution and global warming.

Week 3.2 & 3.3
Role Play in group
Roles: Customer (Kate), Model1 (Ried), Model2 (Tong) and Model3 (Selena)
SCRIPT:
Scene 1- Model 1,2 and 3 start walking in the stage.
Scene 2- Customer likes the jacket which Model 3 is wearing on the stage.
Scene 3- Information card pops up on the screen at the same time when Customer select model 3 and clicked the jacket to see the details of the item.
Scene 4- Customer realsise that cost of the jactet is $500 (too expensive). So she put this item in her to shopping cart, so she can buys them later when the price drops down after the season.

I recored a video of this role play but I have no access to upload the video on Tumblr.
This is a quick prototype of mobile app screen mockup.

Week 2- Summary
I haven’t decided yet what I actually want to do on this project. I’m still looking at metaverse online shopping but I’m finding it hard to make it to happen to be this semeseter’s project because it needs a very high technical skills to create 3D images and needs a software to create my own platfome and this it too much for me.
I had a looked at a documentary about how wasted clothes are discarded and how much pollution it cause by making and wasting clothes. This documentary was helpful to referece to my topic. I can have more research about problem of fashion industries and i can design something to stop people from over producution and over buying and wasting.

Week 1-Summury
I’m still in the stage of researching and deciding what to do for my project.
I wanted to work on apps that related to DIY Movement which is from design research last semester, but I found that it’s hard to look for an app/website baout DIY. So I decided to connect DIY and Metaverse megatrend. I found people can customise and create their own charaters and village themselves in metaverse world. I think it’s gonna be a good challenge to try a new field. What I’m thinking to stick on is that users allowed to create their own clothes for avatars and they can sell on metaverse worlds.
I definitely need more research about this field and technical practice as well. because i might have to create a fake metaverse clothing sale page for this project.
