Cosmania Day 2, a comeback for me going to anime cons!

It’s been really a long while coming to wonderful events!! And so, since my birthday is always near to Cosmania’s possible dates, it’s been like the con where I celebrate my birthday early with friends~ I wanna blog this event but my time is really short now thus I’ll post first my experience coming from my personal account. It’s written in ‘taglish’ but I’ll update this post with English. Also, I’m gonna omit some of the parts where it is personal to me. But I hope you enjoy reading it~

[long post about my cosmania experience, long time no con but I also don’t want to go to conventions because it’s so very tiring as hell ]

around 9 am I was already at smx and to be honest, it was my first time to go to a convention before opening time because I was carried away with the rants found at the internet

around 12 noon we were already in the convention T_T It was hard since there were no staffs guiding us and there were some assholes who cut the lines. The worst part was we almost got out of the line! Insane!

There’s always an instance where I can’t stand too much longer because it affects my spine, so I was in the bad mood when I got in. Also sorry for those who wanted to meet me and instead of strolling around to buy stuffs and gather some hauls, I just sat down on the floor since I was so very tired standing.

after I got some rest, I just chill around there watching the stage, and lmao the winston cosplayer gave my cringe watching him dancing to baby shark. I mean, it’s already 2017 and there are still cosplayers who do that kind of presentation? (lmao I swear I do not want to fight anyone who still do this and yes i am also poor at this performance crap) Just imagine someone got back attending conventions and seeing this again? ha ha

so here it is!! M&G PART!!!! There were so many people lined up for Hikarin and mostly were girls. Idk but I was happy that the line for Angie is not soo long than the others. Of course I also need to line up to the cashier since there was no pre-order of Angie’s merchs. I was already few steps away from the cashier when the cashier shouted “ALL MERCHS AND PHOTO SESSIONS FOR HIKARIN ARE SOLD OUT” And yeezus I got almost deaf bc of the fans behind me sobbing, that is just so sad.

Funny part is that the man infront of me, in the line for Angie was confused (seriously, like you can see it in his face haha) and he asked “Angie?? Angie? You’re here for Angie?” and I was internally UHM WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?? HA HA It was so sudden someone already judge me lmao (disclaimer: I’m straight guys haha)

BUT LET’S GET SERIOUS

MY TALK WITH ANGIE IS SO LONG BECAUSE OF THE MAGIC WORDS: “I HEARD YOU LIKE BANGTAN” and then boom, she just exploded.

the scenario was exactly like this:

Me: hi!! (and then i got starstruck) Angie: hi nice to meet u! Me: Me: I'm quite nervous Angie: ohhh (then she tapped me on my arm huhuhuhu) don't be nervous Angie: so what's your name? Me: mika, em ay kay ey Angie: //writes While writing, me: i heard u like bangtan Angie: //stopped writing Angie: //fangirls

(uhm guys sorry I got this post combined with kpop hehe but this is how i really like! my twitter bio can explain it)

It’s so funny because she really stopped writing her sign ha ha and her eyes became so big like she was shookt lol also, i got information overload since she said so many things! Moreoveeerrr, I don’t ask too much! She said what we wanted to say~ And for that, the following are the things that I only remember talking with her:

1. she’s from dope era~ 2. her bias is jk!! 3. she was impressed of how jungkook grew and his history because he’s becoming handsome(more) 4. she asked who’s my bias so I said it’s yoongi and she said yg is her second bias in the list, joon’s third, jm’s fourth but then HAHA BUT THEN !! SHE EXPLODED AGAIN LIKE “BUT I ACTUALLY LIKE THEM ALL SO MY BIAS LIST IS REALLY COMPLICATED” HAHAHHAH I FEEL U GIRL 5. I gave fanart prints! Spring day and save me coming from different fanartists, and she said she like save me ;u; 6. she went to the wings tour! and she said she’s definitely coming again to their next concert. Also!! She also talked about the concert here in ph and we talked about the previous concerts starting from the red bullet episode 2. 7. ofc she also knew the biggest army bomb project! 8. SHE BOUGHT A SET OF LOVE YOURSELF ALBUM HEHEHEH 9. her sister is also an army so when they order merhcs, they share with each other (sighs wish my little sister can buy also instead of me always spending out the money that I’ve saved for me huhu)

I’m sorry also since she really talk more about some good things too! she was fast talking in english but I was really starstruck haha I’m sorry guys. And after the talking she add “army” on my name!! hehehehe and then we took a picture, she was holding the fanart prints that I gave to her huhuhu

after that I was still starstruck huhuhuhu It was like 3-4 minutes we’ve talked. Since the most of this type of m&g only takes less than 30 seconds, try to bring up some topic that you have in common! That’s one the hell magic trick! <3

I settled down and still starstruck, and then I just remembered I still have assignments to do so I went home right after that, not looking the long line again outside.

so it’s basically me, meeting angie hehehehe Until then!~

*in Philippines, we use “huhuhu” as crying sounds, okay?

Meeting your fave cosplayers for the first time

It was an ordinary night until you saw an announcement that your fave cosplayer goes to your country!! You’ll be experiencing mixed emotions (not applicable to others bc we do not feel the same way okay???)

happiness

then goes mad

thinks about your budget

should you go or should you go

what should you do when you’re already in front of them

but crap YOU NEED TO SEE THEM SO SAVE MONEY

It’s one in a lifetime experience, as I thought. So why not?

When I already decided to go to the meet and greet, I went to the event’s FAQs page and how to get a ticket. So first and foremost, read well and understand the whole process. You may say you don’t need it but shut up, you need it since it’s your first time. Conventions around the world differs, so better try read the information well.

Second, if you already paid for the ticket, get yourself ready to go to the venue! My first time meeting my fave was so veryyy tiring because the line for the meet and greet was so long, I almost waited for four-five hours. I didn’t ate lunch!! And I was soooo hella thirsty. So I would like to suggest that you must eat first before going. But this might be different if the process of lining up is fast. Better keep some snacks on your bag if the event allows foods from the outside. Also, you need to keep yourself healthy and stress-free before meeting your fave cosplayer because during falling in line, you might experience those douche bags who tries to cut the line and make you wait for more hours.

If the meet and greet does not have any lines, get yourself prepped since it’s your first time meeting with your fave! Go with your personal taste, that’s only my suggestion for your clothes.

Third, if you’re already in the venue with your fave, don’t forget the word “respect” and “manners”. Remember, they are also humans too like you. It would be awkward for them or sometimes hard if you are rude towards them. Consider their feelings. Don’t be a btch.

When I got in and saw my fave miyuko/aza for the first time (okay, I’ll drop the ‘fave’ word, I’m recalling it so many times), DUDE, LIKE SHT, I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY TO HER, I WAS SO STARSTRUCK. They gave their coscards, and FCK I WAS STARING AT THEM SMILING LIKE A POTATO, I FORGOT TO MAKE ONE AND GIVE ONE, THEY WERE TRADING COSCARDS I AM A SHT, THAT’S ALREADY THE CHANCE TO TRADE EACH OTHER’S COSCARDS UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

It was also Aza’s birthday and I forgot to give something to her, and most of her fans to gave dolphin stuffs (she likes dolphins so uhm I would recommend to give some unique dolphin thing since she has many fans that gave dolphins). So fourth, from the meet and greets that I was in, it’s not prohibited to give them such gifts actually. But from my experiences, they won’t give a long time entertaining your gifts and their manager or some staffs will take it and put it somewhere so you can have more time bonding with the guests.

also ALSOOOOO ALSO!! If you have digicam or dslr or any camera, that would make your experience better~ The meet and greet is already a chance to have some pictures of your fave taken by yourself. But again, remember manners if you may.

Lastly, I would like to suggest, to enjoy your time meeting with your fave. Don’t matter if someone in the same crowd is an enemy of yours, this first meeting with your bae is memorable, just try to avoid them :)
