Roe v. Wade is based on the Due Process Clause, 14th amendment, and right to privacy. In reference to the overturning of Roe v. Wade, Justice Clarence Thomas has said "In future cases we should reconsider all of this court's substansive due process precedents." Here are some of those related cases - some of which Thomas explicitly mentioned.

Meyer v. Nebraska (1923): The teaching of languages other than English

Pierce v. Society of Sisters (1925): Non-public schooling. It is cited as precedent in over 100 cases.

Gitlow v. New York (1925): Extends free speech & press protections

Skinner v. State of Oklahoma (1942): The forced sterilization of criminals

Griswold v. Connecticut (1965) & Einsenstadt v. Baird (1972): Access to contraception.

Loving v. Virginia (1967): Interracial marriage

Planned Parenthood v. Casey (1992): Expanded on abortion rights, related to undue burden standard.

Lawerence v. Texas (2003): Private, consensual sex (namely gay sex)

Obergefell v. Hodges (2015): Gay marriage

Ramos v. Louisiana (2020): Unanimous guilty verdicts at trials

I know this keeps getting said, but the overturning of Roe v. Wade is just the tip of the iceberg.

here i am again, aghast; as if i haven’t known this bleakness all my life. unless we’re dead on the ground with our heads caved in and blood caked between our legs—we are nothing more than liars: vile little things corrupted by our own existence. our only use for when man has nothing else left to brutalize, winding us back up again to participate in his depraved fantasies he then will call mine.

As a Ukrainian-American it’s actually deeply disturbing to watch many of my fellow American/western progressives uncritically swallow Russian propaganda and promote Russian imperialism, while my family in Ukraine lives in terror every day that Russian soldiers will show up outside their house.

 It’s like some of y’all realized “Western imperialist propaganda is bad” and instead of coming to the conclusion that it’s imperialism that’s bad, you decided that because the West is bad any imperialism, murder, genocide, and bigotry are fine as long as the people doing it also don’t like the West. It should not be difficult to understand that the American government being bad does not automatically make anyone opposing the American government good.
