Thesis: the rise of fanwank and anti culture correlates directly with diminished understanding of what “romantic”, in a literary sense, actually means.

The blatant and constant exclusion of Henrietta Wilson not only as a queer character but as a main character in articles following up on Buck’s coming out is disgusting. She has been a proud lesbian since the very first episode, serving as authentic rep on the show. It’s striking that the media’s interest seems to have peaked only with the revelation of a masculine, white character as LGBTQA+ (who they consistently mislabel as gay instead of bisexual, going against the actor’s own words and the network’s public statements). It is telling, but alas, not utterly surprising, considering sometimes they don’t even bother to learn Aisha’s name. It is a disappointing act of erasure that contradicts the show’s message of inclusivity and undermines the very essence of its commitment to representing a wide spectrum of experiences.

Thinking about how Eddie is a deeply silly man who has been forced into always being the responsible one. Thinking about How Buck is someone who longs to be taken seriously but is always treated like he's immature or irresponsible. Thinking about how Buck gives Eddie the freedom to be his most ridiculous and how Eddie trusts Buck with his most serious responsibilities and problems.

its comforting realizing a very large majority love buck and tommy's blossoming relationship and that the hate we see is a loud minority. we also have a director and writer who doesn't care so much about constant whining and complaining cause he will write what he wants and whats for the best. bucktommy is in very good hands with tim, oliver and lou and i truly think we don't have to worry about anything. they DEFINITELY see the love over the hate.
