hi i made a full post about in on my main ( here, if you’re curious ) but i just wanted to say that i’m currently in the process of moving cities while working a shitload of hours so while my muse for nanami has very much returned, my time available to be around this blog has not !! i hope to be around a little next weekend if not earlier; in the meantime just know i do fully intend to get this blog going again when things are less insane

so i’m toying with an o.verwatch au where nanams is an early phase / experimental result of the incomplete code talon stole from athena. what they wanted: a super computer capable of tracking down all the disbanded agents & other people of interest. what they got: a smol child who won’t stop downloading galaga on every hard drive in sight, including her partners’ cybernetics.

                    cheeks, this time——-  closer, but still not right. her empty hand found his cheek, blossoming pink as though her fingertips were paintbrushes, and the pad of her thumb skirted affectionately over it, feeling the warmth in his face. she ached with jealousy for her incapacity to feel what sonia had once graciously explained to her: butterflies.                     ‘ i was hoping that’s what it was for, ’  she admitted, a tentative smile at the corners of her mouth. nanami has never been kissed before. to change that with hinata would be the best way to celebrate she can think of. 

                   she doesn’t wait for him to work up the nerve. even without seeing it, she can hear the wag of his tail by the way it rustles his clothes, and she uses it for the extra push of encouragement she needs. the mistletoe still above their heads, but mostly forgotten now, she closes the gap between them with a soft kiss.

                    ‘ mm .. ’  the mistletoe pinched between her fingers faltered an inch, pale pink gaze lifted to it in curiosity, as though second - guessing that it was what she’d presumed it to be. it was the first time she’d ever seen one in person——-  they don’t make very frequent appearances in video games.                      ‘ is that what you’re supposed to do, hinata - kun ..? ’  with newfound determination, her free hand reached to pull him closer to her height again.  ‘ let me try, ’  she said, and mimicked the gentle nuzzle in return.
