all ‘stellae’, or the zodiac afflicted, have been hereby ordered by the government to register under the SANGNAM ACT, a movement that would effectively expose all zodiac-afflicted individuals to the public, and mark them as being inhuman. all official records, documents, and others belonging to the individual would be marked with a seal that indicates their ‘special’ nature, and will be closely watched by local enforcement. certain companies have taken to announcing that there will be zero tolerance for employees with the zodiac affliction, as well as the public keeping a close eye on these individuals, never having forgiven them for the collapse of the sangnam apartment.

if a zodiac is discovered, and not registered under the sangnam act, they will be promptly apprehended by local enforcement. consequences were not specified - but it can be said, without a doubt, that no mercy will be shown, regardless of one’s situation.

&. 01 / EMPATHETIC - ren, in spite of his silence, has a knack of knowing just how people feel at all times - he’ll show up with potted plants & flowers with different properties when he notices negative emotions. whether it be a quiet hug, a listening companion, or someone to be in their presence, he’ll always be there for those who need emotional acceptance.

&. 02 / GENTLE - in spite of his rather unnerving glare, ren’s surprisingly gentle. with careful fingers, he constantly adjusts the plants in his small windowsill garden, taking great care not to harm them in any way - his loved ones are no different. with the gentlest of hands, he’ll care for them, even if he may remain silent while doing so. 

&. 03 / CLANDESTINE - ren has a naturally calming aura, a sweet, herb-like atmosphere about him that puts people at ease, whether it’s a small smile, a silk bag of herbs, or a seat in his store.

&. 04 / DESOLATE - in spite of his care for others, his shy silence has rendered him rather lonely, without many friends to call ‘friends’. the closest he’s gotten are his potted plants, who he’ll treat as companions in his loneliest times. 

&. 05 / DISTRUSTFUL - ironically enough, ren’s guarded enough to build an entire fortress ( & a moat around it as well ) out of fear of being exposed as a zodiac, as well as being wronged in the past by his family’s associates. he may be seeking companionship & comfort, but fears it as well. 

&. 06 / TREPIDATIOUS - after discovering the extent of his abilities, ren turns into a trembling mess whenever his powers are activated - his quiet nature has been turned even more severe, out of caution of his geokinesis.

PERSONALITY. 

POSITIVE.

( 001. ) intelligent —most people would take one look at taeoh and label him as a street rat with only street knowledge. yes, he may have his moments of idiocy, like the time he got his shirt stuck in a fence while trying to run from the law, but underneath all that crude humour is a genius. though most people may not know it, he has knowledge on subjects varying from the french language, world issues and politics and he even knows how many protons are in each element.

( 002.) charismatic —one skill taeoh has kept a secret from his golden boy era is his charm. most people know taeoh as a loud mouth with no flitter, but there are times where his charm ( or as he refers to it, his top hidden talent ) to get him out of sticky situations. whenever taeoh finds himself in an awkward situation, he’s sure to plaster a smile across his face and pray that his sweet words get him out of trouble.

( 003. ) passionate — whether it’s art or romance, surprisingly taeoh is in touch with his emotions. though he may express it in an inappropriate manner, he would still go out of his way for someone he liked. probably even expressing his feeling with the exact words,“ i’m fucking in love with you. just do me a favour and stab me in the fucking face, and put me out my misery. ”

NEGATIVE.

( 001. ) nonchalant — if there’s one thing taeoh is good at apart from art is his ability to not give a shit. whether it’s getting in trouble for getting into bar fights, spray painting graffiti along buildings or getting arrested for public indecency, there’s no denying that taeoh doesn’t have a care in the world for the backlash he faces. but hey, at least he’ll have another party story to tell.

( 002. ) facetious — taeoh is known for his crude sense of humour that may not resonate with most people. especially the time where he told his boss that his yellow shirt looked like “ big bird took a giant piss on it. ” he means no harm with his words, but his inappropriate sense of humour stems from his composed and laid-back manner where he doesn’t think about the consequences of his actions before he opens his big mouth. he’ll admit there are times where he steps out of line with his flippant humour, but he’s always sure to make up for it.

( 003. ) impulsive — taeoh may not think before he speaks, but also doesn’t think before he acts. since his childhood, he’s always just gone with the flow, not giving a second thought to the repercussions he’ll face later on due to his impulsive behaviour. that’s how he ended up with a dipsy tattoo on his right shoulder and becoming the owner of a raccoon family that resides in the back alley of his apartment building.

ZODIAC.

ABILITIES: controlled physical immunity and pyrokinesis ( unknown to him yet. )

CONTROL STATS:

( 001. ) time factor — with his ability comes the factor of time and how long his body can withstand harm. at the moment, taeoh is at a lower level tier of having his power controlled. if the threat or harm he faces is a minimum, he is able to have control over his power for a longer period of time. but if the danger or threat is bigger ( multiple people )than he is, his body will not be able to withhold against any harm inflicted upon him.

( 002. ) healing factor — though he may be immune to most physical harm, his body isn’t when he over exerts himself. if taeoh pushes himself too far, he’ll start to develop migraines and nosebleeds. the farthest he’s ever pushed himself in using his power, resulted in him passing out for a day.

PYROKINESIS.

( 001. ) creation of fire — since he has yet to discover this power, he is unable to create fire. but once he does discover this power he will still only be able to manipulate small flames or small amounts of fire. only as he grows his power will he then be able to create fire.

( 002. ) heightened emotions — certain emotions have the ability to influence how he may use his power for the better or for worse. for example, if he were to let his anger get ahold of him, he could very likely lose control of his power.

( 003. ) overpowered by water elements — he can be overpowered by people who have the ability to use water/ice. once he does become aware of his second power, he’d still be at a disadvantage to people who have had control over their water/ice abilities for a longer period of time than him.

quick admin update! although rae was able to be present for opening night yesterday, she’ll have a bit of trouble managing the main for a few weeks as she is currently moving to a new apartment! we hope you understand that things may be a bit hectic or slow at times, as she’ll only be able to help out every now and then. this rp is her brainchild and eternal love, so she’ll definitely be returning as soon as she can. for now, she will be on admin hiatus! 

on the other hand, we still have not received messages back from certain applicants regarding their application, so we will only be accepting the three that have responded to our questions! the other applicants - please, please answer our pm’s within a week, or else we will unfortunately have to reject your application!

*. INTRODUCING . . . HWANG DOHYUN ; VIRGO.

afflicted with LIGHT MANIPULATION & IRIS PHENOMENON, he is currently TWENTY-TWO YEARS of age, and has resided in hwayeon for the PAST THREE MONTHS.

PERSONALITY. 

+ CORDIAL: dohyun is nothing short of welcoming and kind, regardless of whether he knows the person well. a naturally social individual and moodmaker, he thrives on the interaction.

+ SANGUINE: he’s impossibly positive and optimistic, no matter how dark the situation may be - some find it unnerving, but it’s just the way he finds the world - a lot brighter and kinder than it actually is.

+ WARMHEARTED: he’s got a big heart - no kidding! coming from a pretty sizable family, he’s learned to give out as much love and care as he can, regardless of the return.

- FICKLE: dohyun tends to be a bit unsure of his decisions, and his tendencies can often keep him from properly going about his daily life. the self-doubt can be increasingly overwhelming.

- KLUTZY: pretty much wreck-it-ralph. in spite of his cordiality and sweet nature, he tends to break everything he sees, from coffee mugs to his own arm on accident. 

- FRENETIC: his high-octane energy does allow a bit of freedom from time to time on his radio segment, but all it does is contribute to the graveyard of broken mics on the ground after each session.

ZODIAC.

ZODIAC FULFILLMENT: virgo 

ABILITIES: light manipulation and iris phenomenon.

CONTROL STATS:

WEAKNESSES: 

- the iris phenomenon requires great focus - if dohyun is distracted by anything else, the prism message distorts and becomes nightmarish, or disappears entirely. 

- his light manipulation is limited at best, and he ends up glowing whenever he feels happiness. this is a dead giveaway in public of his powers, so he’s taken to wearing a hoodie at all times, even in sweltering weather. 

- light constructs also take great concentration, and if he strains his powers far too much, he goes temporarily blind at times, his eyes turning completely grey.

*. INTRODUCING . . . JEONG JAEJIN ; GEMINI.

afflicted with SELF-CLONING & HOLOGRAM DUPLICATION, he is currently TWENTY-TWO YEARS of age, and has resided in hwayeon for the PAST FIVE MONTHS.

PERSONALITY.

+ unorthodox ; give him the worst possible scenario and he’ll emerge from it with a pretty plausible solution. it’ll take a couple of attempts, more failures than successes, but he’ll make sure things get done in a timely manner. jaejin believes anything can be accomplished, as long as all your efforts are poured into it.

+ unwavering ; once he decides on something, it would take a mountain and more to change jaejin’s mind. it’s a bit of a double edged sword, though he doesn’t interpret his stubbornness as a vice. he’s endlessly devoted to what he believes in, and hardly ever breaks a promise, contrary to popular belief. jaejin’s loyalty is hard to come by, so it’s a given that he keeps the handful of people he cares for extremely close.

+ perceptive ; the smallest of observations hardly go unnoticed by jaejin. sarcasm and wit are his closest allies, a clever burning retort always hot on his tongue whenever given the chance. his enhanced perception gives him the advantage in particular situations, a swift reply or carefully cunning response enough to give him the desirable upper hand.

- duplicitous ; jaejin lives by his own truths, therefore he has no problem using deceit to get his own way. it’s almost too easy to trick people into doing what he has in mind, all in the name of his own benefit. jae has hundreds of masks ready to slip on whenever he feels fit. it makes it a rarity that anyone ever knows who exactly is underneath them.

- tactless ; sensitive is definitely not a word to describe jaejin. jae sees absolutely no benefit in beating around the bush and would never hold back his tongue for the well being of another. blunt words harsh enough to sting are to be expected from jaejin, along with an eye roll and his signature scoff.

- cynical ; his entire life has been built upon expecting the worst and nothing more. it’s a given that he has a pessimistic outlook on life, jae hardly ever sees the glass as half full. in his mind, it’s a waste to ever expect the best when all life has offered him is the opposite.

- spontaneous self-cloning ; jae likes to think he somewhat has a grasp on his self-cloning abilities, but at the worst times he’ll turn around to a series of clones of himself staring right back at him. each time that happens, it just forces him to practice more on having a hold on when and where he wants to clone himself.

- short-term hold on abilities ; jae can only control his self-cloning and hologram duplication abilities for a limited amount of time, otherwise he feels extremely burnt out and in desperate need of recuperation just to feel like himself again.

- lack of sleep ; each time jae uses his abilities, he finds himself being unable to rest with any sense of peace that same night. it’s a side-effect that he really doesn’t understand at all, out of all things he can’t seem to grasp regarding his abilities. on days where he practices, hour after tireless hour, jaejin finds himself yearning for the luxury of sleep.
