For the Reverse Portal AU.

Does Stanley punch Ford when he gets back to his own reality? What was Stanley's time in the Multiverse like?

Was he being chased by Bill the entire time, or did he completely ignore him? Do you think he met Canon Ford or a variation of him, and what was each other's reaction? Did he ever date the Oracle (as a way to piss Bill off?)

apologies in advance if any of this is worded weirdly or doesn’t make sense💀💀

when stan gets back to his own universe, his first instinct is to be incredibly cautious because he isn’t immediately sure that it is his original universe. after realizing he’s finally home though, they end up hugging instead of clocking each other in the face 💀💀 they’re relationship when stan makes it home isn’t bad like it is in the canon, but they do struggle to reconnect initially. after 40ish years apart they feel like they hardly know the other anymore, and they both struggle in their own way with getting over their guilt (ford for getting stan stuck in the portal and stan for feeling like he messed up fords life again*)

stan’s time in the portal is largely similar to cannon ford because they both have the goal of killing bill. bill does try to track down stan to use as a bargaining chip to convince ford to reopen the portal. this plan doesn’t work out though because bill struggled track down stan due to how often he jumped universes.

meeting canon ford is an idea i’ve been toying with. i have a mini comic planned around this idea but i still haven’t decided if i want that to be canon to the au or not. if they did meet, c!ford would initially be incredibly angry with stanley (similarly to how he was angry at canon stan for reopening the portal) as he thinks that portaled stan is c!stan coming through the portal to look for him. i think after they clear up that confusion though they bond a bit over their shared experiences and they both come to realize that the other would try to reactivate the portal to save them, but they eventually end up splitting pathes.

*and stan definitely does meet other ford variants which is why he’s first wary as to if he’s actually in his home dimension. the most noteable variant he meets being the better world ford. after seeing a dimension that exists where ford finally achieves the dreams and fame he was always chasing, stanley feels incredibly guilty over not just leaving with fords journal. he wonders how his ford is doing, and how much he has altered ford’s life by getting stuck in the portal.

stan’s interactions with the oracle are somewhat similar to canon ford’s as she teaches him more about bill. the oracle finds stanley interesting as she has encountered many variants of ford, but very few stan ones.
