a long post talking about old pokemon ocs

also some spoilers for pokemon scarlet and violet (i tried to keep it vague though)

so a long ass time ago, back when i was around 10~12, around when sun and moon was released

i made an oc that was an android made by an ex villain team member, i think it was either team flare or team rocket, i can't remember.

i think i rewrote her to be a rougue nurse joy that turn into a villain team member later on?? idk

anyways, the android was made for catching pokemon, and to get prizes from winning pokemon contests, and she was terrible at both lol

but if she did catch or win anything, she would give those things to her creator

the android wasn't aloud to have any of the pokemon she cought, and was only aloud to have 1 pokemon, but would often keep some if them she cought and hide them from her creator

she pretty much looked like a regular human (because I didn't know how to draw robots back then), and her outfit had like a sylveon motif (pink, blue, and mostly white color palette, ribbons every were)

and her name was "sylveon 2.0" because younger me was great at naming characters (sarcasm)

she was also really rude to people and had a very VERY short temper, and pretty much only cared about her pokemon and her brother

oh yeah i also gave her a brother lol

his name was an android named "umbreon 2.0" and he was made around the same time as sylveon, and is similar to her, but instead of catching and going to contests, he catched pokemon and battled trainers with them (he was also bad at it)

his design had an umbreon motif kinda (a mostly black color palette, but instead of yellow rings, he had yellow spikes) and also looked like a regular human

personality wise he was friendly, but often got sad alot, and wanted to live like other people that didn't had to give their things and pokemon to a(n ex) villain team member

anyways i stopped working or doing anything with them. i thought they were "bad ocs", mostly because they felt very out of place, mostly because they where androids. and i thought "they would never add human androids in pokemon"

...

so after i played violet, i started thinking about them again.

(i also i think there was a nurse joy that ended up quitting being i nurse joy in pokemon horizons? i think??? idk i could be wrong i stopped watching the pokemon anime after xyz)

anyways i'm thinking on drawing them, redesign them to look more robotic. maybe redrawing old art if i could find any (most of it is most likely gone forever because i used to throw away and delete my old drawings)

not saying i WILL do all of these, but man i just wanna make things with them again lol

i've been trying to get a shiny through breeding for 9 hours, and so far i've only gotten around 8 eggs

and i can't tell if i'm doing something wrong or if this is normal in pokemon crystal
