I bought my 7 D from a local business when they put it on sale for the same price as Amazon in June 2011. I have not been sorry.

I read a lot of reviews, both on Amazon, and elsewhere, before deciding to buy the 7 D I won 't try to duplicate.  on one of the reviews found here, but I will say that I never got the focus problem others report, nor have I had the  '  ' contrast problem some have reported.

So if I not to my review of basic on technical aspects of the 7 D – which are more properly covered in other critics here on Amazon – just why write a review and why did I give it 5 stars.

A few months ago, in August 2011, he was on the coast of Oregon during a particularly windy day. The winds were racheado through 45knots and sometimes even greater zero. I had almost finished shooting for the day and headed for my car. Just started to step to a kerb I was struck in the back by a strong gust of wind, had my Center of gravity expelled form on my extended leg and he had a serious fall. I ended up breaking the parasol in my 70-300 and scratching lightly next to the fog filter pro B + W had the lens.

As I fell I was trying to pull the camera back into my body to protect it but all I managed to do was to land on it and a bruising three ribs when I pinned my chest between the camera and the concrete. Pop-up flash scratching badly in some places and the connection point neck strap also damaged but not destroyed. Also managed to severely cut my finger on a concrete so I wasn't  't think about my 7 D (or not too much, anyway) at the time.

By the time I returned home, I was very concerned about the situation of my 7 D after cleaning and bandaging my finger I gave 7 D training. It performed flawlessly. Long story short, except cosmetic damage 7 D has not been corrupted in any way. Everything worked just as it did before the fall.

7 D is an excellent camera. That is why I gave it 5 stars.
