THE RICH HISTORY OF CHOCOLATE AND HOW IT CAME TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH CELEBRATIONS
Tumblr media
For many people, chocolate is the go-to comfort food. Whether it’s a sweet and creamy Milky Way or a crunchy Snickers, there’s just something about this indulgent treat that makes us feel happy. Chocolate is such a universal favorite that we even have a day dedicated to celebrating it!
So in this blog, we will share why do we celebrate chocolate day? How do people celebrate it? And other chocolate day celebration and lastly some of the best facts for it. Let’s take a closer look.
On July 7, people all over the world go through their cabinets and indulge in some chocolate. World Chocolate Day is a perfect reason to indulge in the pleasures of cocoa, whether it be dark, milk, or white chocolate. Try a familiar flavor or experiment with some new ones!
What makes World Chocolate Day special?
It’s difficult to pinpoint the precise reason why July 7 was selected as the day to celebrate chocolate, but according to Wired Magazine, it can be linked to the day in 1550 when considerable quantities of cocoa were first introduced to Europe. According to some accounts, Christopher Colombus may have brought cocoa to Spain even earlier, around 1504, but for years the elite had a stranglehold on it until it spread to the lower classes and became widely used.
Despite the fact that World Chocolate Day is typically observed on July 7, there is also International Chocolate Day, which is observed in the United States on September 13. Because Milton Hershey, who established the Hershey Chocolate Company in 1894, was born on this day, this event is held on that day.
In any case, World Chocolate Day is a relatively recent celebration, having only begun to be observed yearly in July of roughly 2009.
How is World Chocolate Day Celebrated?
of course, by consuming chocolate! The greatest way, in our opinion, to celebrate chocolate’s adaptability is to try a flavor combination you’ve never experienced before. Fruit and chocolate lovers can explore tropical flavors with our creamy and tangy Passion Fruit Chocolate or try a salted espresso martini, which is modeled after a cocktail, topped in our sweet and malty caramel chocolate for a more decadent treat.
For the purists, we have our single-origin chocolate collection in our rare and vintage collection, where you may indulge in certain cacao bean varieties in our expertly created chocolate bars. If you’re searching for a more mild flavor, the white chocolate from the Dominican Republic boasts 42 percent cocoa butter, giving it a deliciously creamy texture. If you want a savory taste, the deep fruitiness of our Ecuadorian 100% cocoa packs a punch.
If you’re a seasoned chocolate enthusiast, push the envelope by incorporating our chocolate into a savory dish. Melt a square of dark chocolate into your spaghetti bolognese or chili con carne to give the traditional recipes a richer, deeper flavor.
Other chocolate-related celebration
Similar to how Americans celebrate International Chocolate Day on September 13 rather than July 7, other nations have also selected various dates to honor their love of chocolate. World Chocolate Day is observed on July 11 in Latvia, a few days after Ghana, the second-largest cocoa producer in the world, observes its own chocolate day on February 14.
Though if you need more reasons to love chocolate, each type of chocolate has its own day of celebration, so don’t worry if you can’t travel to participate in chocolate days throughout the world. On January 10, Dark Chocolate Day, on July 28, Milk Chocolate Day, and on September 22, White Chocolate Day, the summer season comes to a close. There is even an office chocolate day on October 20 where you are expected to bring chocolate treats in for your coworkers if you still haven’t satisfied your chocolate craving by then.
Take this chance to broaden your chocolate horizons and sample some different flavors on World Chocolate Day. If you can’t decide, try one of our chocolate boxes, where you’ll find intriguing new flavors tucked among your old favorites like delicious champagne truffles and salted caramel. It’s World Chocolate Day, after all, so get creative and make some Mexican hot chocolate with cinnamon and a dash of chili, add some cocoa nibs for a salty bite to your brownies, or go all out and make authentic Mole sauce.
World Chocolate Day is observed on July 7. However, if we had our way, every day would be National Chocolate Day!
According to tradition, the first time chocolate was introduced to Europe was on July 7, 1550. Here are seven interesting chocolate facts to commemorate World Chocolate Day:
1. Chocolate Coins in Ancient Maya The Mayans are credited with discovering chocolate, and your favorite bar might have been worth its weight in gold back then! Instead of using coins as money, the ancient Maya traded and bartered commodities, like many other early civilizations. However, cacao beans have only lately been found to have been used as money by the Mayan civilization.
2. The Health Benefits of Chocolate Happy news: chocolate has health benefits. The prevailing consensus is that chocolate’s health benefits increase with its cocoa content. According to recent studies, dark chocolate may be beneficial for boosting our immune systems, decreasing inflammation, and stimulating our brains! This is due to the presence of antioxidants such as flavonoids, catechins, and polyphenol antioxidants, among others. If you ask us, this sounds like the ideal excuse to treat yourself to a night of rest and healing by indulging in some chocolate while you take a bubble bath flavored with Chocolate Fudge Cake. It’s beneficial to your health, after all!
3. Chocolate Is Delicious To The Mouth Have you ever questioned why chocolate is so irresistibly delicious? Because chocolate melts at a temperature just below that of human blood, it is so utterly delicious. Dark chocolate will melt in your mouth, whereas milk chocolate will likely melt in your hand due to its higher quantities of cocoa butter. In the summer, don’t you like gooey, melting chocolate? Instead, satisfy your chocolate craving with our Chocolate Fudge Cake bath & body products.
4. Use chocolate when you can Belgium is well known for its delectable chocolates. Therefore, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to learn that Belgium printed over 500,000 postage stamps in 2013 that smelt like cocoa and were varnished to resemble chocolate. Even the special glue used on the stamps had a chocolate flavor to it. We would write a lot more love letters and send snail mail to all of our pen pals instead of texting if there were more chocolate-scented and flavored stamps available.
5. Chocolate to Power Up Similar to claims that chocolate is excellent for your health, it may also improve your focus, memory, and resistance to mental aging. Researchers from the University of Nottingham discovered in 2012 that eating dark chocolate can increase blood flow to specific brain regions. This boost from chocolate immediately improves task performance and alertness in general.
Finally:
The history of chocolate is a long and delicious one, dating back to the Mayan and Aztec empires. Today, we celebrate World Chocolate day because it’s a sweet reminder of all the ways chocolate makes our lives better. From antioxidants to mood boosters, there are plenty of reasons to indulge in some chocolate every day. At IIHM, we love chocolate just as much as you do! In honor of World Chocolate day, come visit us for a sweet treat. We have everything from dark chocolate truffles to hot cocoa made with real Belgian chocolate. See you soon!

AUTOMATION : PEEP AT THE NEW AGE RESTAURANTS
Tumblr media
Have you ever been to a restaurant where everything just seems to run smoothly? No one is rushing around; the food is served fresh and at the right temperature, and your server is knowledgeable about the menu items and able to answer any questions you have. Chances are, that restaurant was using some form of restaurant automation. Automation in the hospitality industry is on the rise, and for good reason: it can save businesses time and money while improving customer satisfaction. But what do automated hospitality systems look like, and how will they impact the way we eat out? Keep reading to find out!
The restaurant industry has always valued innovation and has been receptive to new ideas. Kitchens are one industry that has profited greatly from this move forward. This facility’s introduction illustrates how workers use technology and equipment to reduce cooking time and improve productivity.
The epidemic of COVID-19 has compelled the industry to embrace increasing kitchen automation. According to new survey data, the vast majority of restaurants throughout the world have invested in or are in the process of investing in new automation systems. After 12th grade, you can join this groundbreaking business by pursuing a hospitality career. To get started, enroll in any HM course. There are numerous hotel management institutes that provide a variety of hospitality degrees.
What does it mean to automate a restaurant?
Restaurant automation is the use of automated or robotic technologies to perform tasks in a restaurant. These robots can handle everything from cooking meals to delivering food to your visitors in your office. They have significantly greater speed than humans, allowing them to be more efficient and productive in the kitchen. Some restaurant consultants believe that in the future, the entire kitchen could be automated. Many hotel management institutes in Mumbai and across India provide courses that will keep you up to date on future developments.
How might automation assist restaurants in becoming more efficient?
Restaurant robots have the potential to improve restaurant operations dramatically. Their effects aren’t limited to one part of a restaurant; they might improve the entire business. We’ll look at three different ways that robots help restaurants improve, optimize, and move forward in the next part.
Delivery has been increasingly popular in recent years, thanks to the emergence of ghost restaurants and third-party delivery services. Advances in technology such as self-driving cars, drone delivery, and other technologies have given restaurants a host of new delivery alternatives. By embracing these improvements, businesses may reduce delivery times and increase output. The following are some of the most prevalent types of robot food delivery:
Domino’s self-driving pizza delivery: Domino’s recently partnered with a robotics company to develop a self-driving pizza delivery system. As a result, an autonomous vehicle transports the food from the store to the delivery destination while keeping it hot.
The food delivery robots from Starship Technologies include an insulated compartment to keep food at a safe temperature. They also include GPS and cameras to help them navigate the streets and sidewalks. After it comes to a customer’s door, it may be unlocked using an app, and the customer can retrieve their food.
DoorDash’s delivery robots: The third-party delivery service DoorDash recently announced ambitions to develop its own automated delivery system. Despite the fact that the little truck can only carry a limited amount of food, it can be programmed to make deliveries between businesses.
The majority of kitchen robots are adept at doing simple, repetitive tasks. If implemented effectively, they can help you optimize your workforce and avoid human mistakes by lowering the number of time-consuming and low-skill activities in your workplace
For example, a robot might be unable to detect culinary flaws or discoloration in fruits and vegetables. As a result, having a team of people that can supervise and operate your automated equipment is vital. By pursuing a hospitality career beyond 12th, you could be a member of the main staff in such a prominent hotel. You can begin your adventure by enrolling in one of Mumbai’s reputable hotel management courses.
How Do Restaurant Automation Reduce Labor Costs?
Rising labor costs, and hence the overall cost of running a restaurant, are important reasons pushing for restaurant automation adoption. While automation may be costly at first, the cost will reduce as the technology progresses and gains favor in the food service business. In fact, current data shows that costs have fallen by 40% since 2005. Aside from the ability to complete tasks without being paid, robots provide additional benefits that can help you save money. These benefits include
Improved training: Using automated training protocols and videos, managers can spend less time on training and more time on other duties. As a result, training costs are lowered. In any case, Mumbai’s hotel management institutes are now instructing students independently, so…
If typical tasks can be automated throughout the company, employees will have more time and freedom to take on additional obligations. Additionally, automation makes it simple to see what activities your staff are engaged in. This can help your firm manage tasks more effectively and save money.
Inventory management: Automated inventory systems make it easy for your personnel to scan and track objects and ingredients in your kitchen, saving time and money. This is something that hotel management schools in Mumbai and throughout the world emphasize.
Why should your kitchen be automated?
a) It saves you time. A robotic system is designed to function swiftly and precisely. They are extremely efficient and work quickly, considerably reducing prep and cooking time. As a result, you’ll be able to answer customer demands rapidly.
b) Your personnel can focus on providing outstanding customer service. The kitchen and dining area of most restaurants may be a chaotic setting. Your employees may be forced to assist in the kitchen while connecting with customers on a busy day, which can be chaotic. However, because automation will handle some of the tasks, your employees will be able to focus on the needs of the client.
c) The automated kitchen is really trustworthy. Because they are programmed to work precisely, the automated robots’ performance will be consistent. There will be no changes or delays in the preparation of meals. They will properly measure supplies and supervise the cooking process to ensure that the meal is always perfect. One of the greatest hotel management colleges, IIHM has one of the best and most comprehensive hotel management education facilities. RETHINKING TOURISM : THEME FOR WORLD TOURISM DAY 2022
Tumblr media
World Tourism Day is an annual event that celebrates the power of tourism and its potential to bring about positive change. Every year, we celebrate World Tourism Day on September 27th. The Globe has been grappling with the Covid-19 pandemic, with travel restrictions and border closures resulting in a sharp decline in international tourism. In light of this, World Tourism Day is an opportunity to reflect on the role of tourism in our lives and how we can use it to bring about positive change. As we look to the future, let us use World Tourism Day as a rallying point for a rethinking of tourism and its potential to create a better world for all.
In this blog, we will talk about the theme for this year’s World Tourism Day 2022, and how IIHM (International Institute Of Hotel Management) is closely associated with UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organizations) and UNSDG (United Nations Sustainable Development Group).
Rethinking Tourism : Theme of World Tourism Day 2022
The UNWTO has designated Indonesia as the host nation for the formal celebrations of World Tourism Day 2022, which will be held on September 27. The subject for this year’s event is “Rethinking Tourism.”
The topic of the celebrations will be reimagining the sector’s expansion, both in terms of scale and relevance. UNWTO member states, non-members, and stakeholders from the private sector are invited to host their celebrations and promote the day by concentrating on this issue.
There is no question that the tourism sector needs to undergo a significant rethinking to address sustainability and climate change issues. However, rather than just giving it lip service on a specific day, all tourism sectors ought to embrace it as a genuine year-round commitment.
The UNWTO should reconsider the extensive travel that its representatives make to attend meetings. Travel executives need to consider the significant carbon footprints they leave behind when they travel for business. We learned at Covid-19 that the majority of the trade shows we visit can go smoothly online with tools like Zoom. Lessons are rapidly forgotten as the desire to congregate for networking and conversation reasserts itself. Airlines must use sustainable aviation fuels more quickly (SAF). By 2050, the current plan hopes to attain net carbon emissions.
In a press release commemorating World Tourism Day, UNWTO Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili stated: “The potential of tourism is great, and we have a shared obligation to ensure that it is fully realized. “UNWTO calls on everyone to reflect and reassess what we do and how we do it, from tourism employees to visitors themselves, as well as small enterprises, major corporations, and governments.”
The 27th of September has been designated as World Tourism Day annually since 1980. On this day in 1970, the Organization’s Statutes were adopted for the first time, setting the stage for the creation of UNWTO five years later.
IIHM Global Center for Tourism and Hospitality Research
International Institute for Hotel Management (IIHM) is proud to be at the forefront of global efforts to promote sustainable tourism development. IIHM is closely aligned with UNWTO’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which provide a framework for achieving a more sustainable world by 2030. In particular, IIHM is committed to SDG Goal 2, which calls for Zero Hunger. The IIHM Food Soldier Programme has been a mainstay in Food distribution campaigns, even during the pandemic when the entire global underwent a shutdown. Through its programs and initiatives, IIHM is working tirelessly not just for food distribution but also creating national awareness towards the Sustainable Development Goals. The iconic Park Street Metro in the Indian city of Kolkata, has been adopted by IIHM where, the entire metro station is now promoting the UN SDG. The initiatives of IIHM have been recognized by UNWTO and this is what the Hon’able Secretary General of United Nations World Tourism Organization, Mr Zurab Pololikashvilli had to say about IIHM –
“IIHM is at the forefront of global efforts to promote sustainable tourism development. We are proud to be a part of both UNWTO and UN Global Compact initiatives that are making a difference in people’s lives and protecting our planet.” – Zurab Pololikashvili, Secretary-General of UNWTO
What Zurab Pololikashvili, says about IIHM
It’s my great pleasure to greet you on World Tourism Day. I bring with me the best wishes of all UNWTO members, a community of 159 nine nations. We celebrate as the world cautiously reopens to travel. Now is the time to recognize our sector’s essential role as a vision of sustainable and equal development. The theme of World Tourism Day 2021 is tourism for inclusive growth. Today, we highlight the value of everyone involved in tourism, both visitors and visitors. India has always seen tourism as a vital part of social, economic, cultural, and environmental advancement. You have also long been a valued life of UNWTO. In 2019, Incredible India was the host country for World Tourism Day. And your government has supported tourism through the biggest crisis in the history of the sector. At the same time, the International Institute of Hotel Management has emerged as a true leader in tourism excellence. It connects India’s talented youth to the wider sector and the world. Furthermore, the IHM Global Center of Tourism and Hospitality Research is a forum that will enhance this unique relationship between hospitality, education, and employers. Today on World Tourism Day, UNWTO is proud to stand with the IIHM. And I’m honored to officially inaugurate the IIHM Global Center for Tourism and Hospitality Research on this historic occasion.

THE HOSPITALITY SECTOR SEEING 339.3% REVENUE SPIKE IN 2022 QUARTER: WHY NOW IS THE PERFECT TIME TO STUDY HOTEL MANAGEMENT
Tumblr media
What could be the reason behind this astounding revenue growth in the Indian hospitality sector? Many believe that it is due to the rise in foreign tourist arrivals. India has been making efforts to improve its image as a tourist destination and these efforts are paying off. In addition, Indians themselves are also traveling more within their country, thanks to an increase in income levels and improving infrastructure. Whatever the reason may be, one thing is for sure – there is a lot of money to be made in the Indian hospitality sector! Are you thinking of starting or expanding your business in this sector? Stay tuned!
In this blog, we will be sharing the information you need to know about this rapidly growing industry and how IIHM will help you to get success in Hospitality Sector.
In Q2 (April to June) 2022, the Indian hospitality industry experienced significant growth, which was mostly fueled by demand for weddings and other special occasions as well as a remarkable turnaround in business travel. In Q2 2021, the nation was dealing with the second wave of the pandemic, which had a big effect on how well the hospitality industry performed. As a result, Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR) increased exponentially in Q2 2022 over Q2 2021 by 339.3% year-over-year (YoY). According to JLL’s Hotel Momentum India (HMI) Q2, 2022, the industry also had a remarkable 44.6% gain in RevPAR at a pan-Indian level compared to Q1 2022, when the industry was still recovering from the third wave of the pandemic.
Meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions (MICE), weddings, and business travel were the main drivers of the sector’s demand during Q2 2022. Additionally, corporate off-sites, team meetings, training, and soon all contributed to a revival in the market for MICE in the business sector.
Domestic leisure remained a significant market at this time, fueled by travelers’ pent-up demand after going without a summer vacation for the previous two years. On the strength of domestic leisure during long weekends and festivals, the upcoming two quarters are anticipated to stay active. Business travel will keep expanding and be the key demand generator for the industry. While demand for social events like weddings will remain a key driver. With numerous business meetings and large format conferences scheduled, MICE demand is anticipated to increase in the upcoming months.
In total, 47 hotels with 4,010 keys were signed in the second quarter of 2022. Compared to Q22021, there was a substantial increase in hotel signings of 90.9%. In terms of inventory volume, domestic operators outnumbered foreign operators 52:48 in signings.
Due to the low base seen during the second wave of the pandemic last year and the spectacular performance of the sector this year, all six main markets experienced an exponential rise in RevPAR levels in Q2 2022 as compared to Q2 2021.Bengaluru, with a growth of 660.1% over Q2 2021, took the lead in RevPAR increase in Q2 2022, followed by Hyderabad and Goa with y-o-y growths of 564.5% and 326%, respectively.
The second quarter of 2022 will see a resurgence in investor interest and shareholder profitability in the hotel industry thanks to exponential growth across all performance parameters in both business and leisure destinations. Summer vacations gave the overall demand, which continued to increase together with business travel and corporate off-sites, a further boost, reviving trust in the industry. According to Jaideep Dang, Managing Director, Hotels & Hospitality Group, South Asia, JLL, “We expect this momentum to continue over the next few quarters on the basis of long weekends, festivals, weddings, events, and business travel equally contributing to this growth story.”

Tumblr media
Yes, you read that correctly! Wine has health benefits. Wondering what they are? Keep reading to find out. But be forewarned – this post may make you want to pour yourself a glass of vino!
Wine has been subjWine has been subjected to much research throughout the years, and it has been demonstrated to be a powerful elixir.ected to much research throughout the years, and it has been demonstrated to be a powerful elixir.
Wine has been the subject of numerous research that have discovered various links between increasing one’s quality of life and drinking it. Due to the paucity of water in ancient times, wine became a need rather than a luxury, and it began to signify nourishment and life. Since the beginning of time, wine has proven its value in maintaining life. Wine is still regarded as one of the most powerful elixirs known to man, according to current research.
However, it’s important to remember that quantity counts, and most studies report findings in glasses per day or week. In any case, saving it all during the week to overeat on the weekend has been linked to no health benefits. So, our advice is to relish each sip, each texture, and each aroma of your wine. Drink it gently, since it was grown and created with love and care in the vineyards. Let’s begin…
1. Wine consumption promotes longevity
Red wines are the main source of polyphenol resveratrol. Grape skin and red grape juice both contain this potent antioxidant. Antioxidants aid the body’s defense against free radicals, which can harm our cells and organs.
Resveratrol boosts health and longevity by raising the activity of a protein called sirtuins, according to research. Sirtuins are proteins that protect the body from aging illnesses.
Several studies have suggested that drinking alcohol, especially wine, provides health benefits that contribute to longer life spans. Nonetheless, these studies highlight the fact that good outcomes are only achieved through moderate use.
2. Wine Consumption Promotes Heart Health
Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) have long been recognised as a serious global health issue.
The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that, as of the present, more people die each year from CVD than from any other disease, making it the leading cause of mortality and morbidity worldwide.
The consumption of polyphenols is linked to a lower risk of CVD, according to numerous studies. Wines are rich in polyphenols, which are active flavonoids with potential antioxidant qualities.
The lining of the blood vessel in the heart may be protected by these polyphenols, which are once more referred to as resveratrol. A daily intake of 1 to 2 beverages (4 to 8 ounces each) may lower the incidence of CVDs.
While raising the body’s high-density lipoprotein (HDL), also known as “good cholesterol,” wine consumption may help decrease low-density lipoprotein (LDL), often known as “bad cholesterol,” which may damage arteries. Wine also helps to prevent blood clots from forming.
3. Wine’s Nutrients May Help Prevent Alzheimer’s
People who are growing up are always afraid of losing all of their valuable memories. Although many people think it will happen anyway, there are countless ways to stop it. Wine consumption is one of these strategies.
A chronic or persistent illness of the mental process that develops progressively as people age is dementia. According to studies, drinking wine can lower your risk of developing dementia, which frequently progresses to Alzheimer’s disease.
A progressive mental decline that can happen at one age is called Alzheimer’s disease. Again, the resveratrol in wine aids in maintaining open blood vessels so that the vital nutrients of oxygen and glucose may reach the brain freely to keep it alive and functioning.
4. Wine Consumption May Reduce Depression
Because it can influence how you feel, think, and handle daily activities, depression has been a frequent but dangerous condition for certain people. Given that most individuals are aware that drinking alcohol makes depression and anxiety worse, this may seem counterintuitive. Despite this, having a glass of wine once a week can act as a depressant that fights depression.
In a seven-year study, PREDIMED examined 5,500 light to moderate drinkers and discovered that those who consumed two to seven glasses of wine per week were less likely to experience depression than non-drinkers.
Again, this is a case of moderation being key because, according to the same study, heavy drinkers were more likely to experience depression.
5. Wine Can Help You Have Healthier Skin
When applied directly to the skin, the high quantities of antioxidants in wine can limit the growth of acne-causing bacteria and aid in the maintenance of healthy skin. Antioxidants maintain the skin youthful, supple and shining. They also promote skin suppleness.
Drinking wine as a beverage can increase blood flow, which helps slow the aging process and prevent wrinkles. However, excessive drinking throws off the balance of hormones, which can dry up the skin and make acne more likely.
6. Wine Consumption May Reduce Risk of Obesity
Being overweight and obesity are not the same thing. A person who is overweight has excess body weight, which could include water, fat, muscle, and bone. On the other hand, excessive bodily fat is referred to as obesity.
2.8 million individuals worldwide pass away each year as a result of being overweight or obese, according to data from the Global Health Observatory (GHO).
Antioxidants present in wine, especially white wine, include epicatechin, quercetin, and resveratrol. These antioxidants can lower cholesterol levels and may also aid in weight loss by reducing inflammation and abdominal fat, both of which are frequently linked to obesity.
7. Wine Aids in Increasing Your Body’s Defenses
According to studies, drinking wine regularly helps strengthen the immune system. The chemical ingredient in wine and alcoholic beverages known as ethanol also aids in increasing the effectiveness of vaccines.
Moderate wine consumption can support the development of immunity that can fend off 200 different infections. High quantities of flavonoids, an antioxidant that is effective against viruses, are present in wine.
Red wine is evidence that it can relieve cold and flu symptoms. Once viruses have entered the body, the polyphenol resveratrol can stop them from spreading.
8. Wine Drinking Strengthens Bones
Moderate wine consumption has been linked in the past by experts to increased bone density. Bones get thinner and weaker as people age. According to recent research, consuming wine in moderation may help lower the chance of developing osteoporosis.
Women who have gone through menopause are most susceptible to osteoporosis, a bone condition. Osteoporosis makes the bone more brittle and delicate, increasing the risk of bone fracture. (10)
Women can avoid bone weakening by drinking one or two glasses of wine every day. It appears that moderate wine drinking balances the imbalance between deteriorating old bone and inadequate new bone formation, which can cause osteoporosis in older women.
9. Wine Can Help Us Avoid Dental Plaque on Our Teeth
According to studies conducted by the American Chemical Society, wine may help prevent dental cavities by limiting the growth of specific bacteria found in oral biofilm. Bacteria that can cause cavities can grow more slowly under the influence of wine. (12)
The development of microorganisms that cause plaque and dental decay can be slowed down by polyphenols, wine, and grape seed extract. Even while red wine might lessen harmful microorganisms, everyday dental hygiene is still necessary for the best oral health.
However, adding wine in your diet helps strengthen your defenses against a variety of potential dental and gum disorders. Brushing, flossing, and routine dental appointments are still the best suggestions.
10. Wine consumption can enhance vision
Resveratrol, which is present in wine, may be good for the eyes, according to ophthalmologist Milind Pande of Vision Surgery. The ageing of ocular muscles is halted by resveratrol. Macular Degeneration is one of these age-related declines in the eye muscles.
A primary factor in vision loss, macular degeneration is regarded as an incurable eye condition. This is the degradation of the macula, the area in the middle of the retina that records the images we perceive.
