u all get to have ur lil post war mash fantasies but also almost none of them ever r about Margaret (sad!) so now its my time to share my convoluted one
it’s the late 60s. Margaret turns her nose up at hippies and the whole movement, as expected. until her girlfriend drags her to see Hair, which is new and doing some performances in California. in the beginning, she’s appalled by how they act, as expected, but then it strikes a raw nerve with the Vietnam messages. mostly because she saw the gruesome outcomes of war and is still haunted by people she treated at the 4077 sometimes. then it becomes a separate inner turmoil of “I was raised in the army and it’s all i ever knew, was I brain washed”
anyway, all this to say that Margaret goes thru a lil hippie phase in her 40s nd wants to try a lil pot ❤️
