the fact that spider (specicly huntsman) wemmbu would be viewed by the server as being so scary and intimidating, all sharp fangs and long legs. While bilbies are small, nocturnal, burrowing marsupials. not a single offensive tendency. rabbit like ears and a white tail tip. wemmbu and his chungi teammate. But despite this bilbies are a known natural predator of spiders (and most bugs tbh) an animal which would be unnerving to nearly anyone else on the server, to derap is a beloved teammate. Not the orbital strike cannon building, exploiter. But wemmbu.

And with the increasing popularity of both avian wemmbu (hawk bc its still a bird of prey, although not the biggest, wemmbus still a pvper although not the best) and rabbit derap. With hawks being an iconic predator to rabbits its so fun. Although i feel with bilby derap (my fave) i think wemmbu would be a wedge-tailed eagle, they match his aura.

overall i just think that predator and prey hybrid dynamics are rly fun, like even outside of the actuall symbolism potential (when i get to yapping about dog mapicc and kangaroo derap it is so OVER for you) especially across duos and teams, its such a fun way for them to be matching without having to be the same animal, and is easier on people to see that way than them just being animals from the same ecosystem. like if they were just a bit less human, theyd kill the other. and lets be real here its lifesteal they still likely will.

ngl, one of the worst parts of the inevitable sunkissed breakup to me is how much worse its going to make derapchu. like hes such a self fulfilling prophecy already, hes so scared everyones going to leave him already, hes so manipulative already, and zam hasnt even left him yet. no one has, not really. hes such a trainwreck forever. hes so insecure and going to get so so much worse.

Ngl lowkey I know it started as a bit but Derap's arc on the realm is so tragic. He got whisked away from a realm of violence and murder where everyone has to hold their own to fight for survival.

So this guy gets finally taken away from this hellscape and no sooner than he was about to celebrate the introduction to this new much better world, the gods turn him into a snail.

And now every waking moment all he craves is to be human again, to be able to be that boy again just to feel. He misses death, not out of despair, but because it gave life its weight and meaning. And while this new realm is much calmer, much more beautiful, and much more full of love than the one he's used to it's taken away from him his the very thing that made him human.

Just like Pinocchio, he longs to experience — to take risks that matter, to feel the weight of every joy and loss. What’s life without death? What’s love without the fear of losing it? His blessing of immortality, has cursed and robbed him of the very thing that makes life worth living — and there’s something so beautifully, tragic about that.
