🌟Aster's emergency comms🌟

★ hello! this is not a usual announcement i would make, and i haven't made an official announcement about my situation here, as it seems to just keep getting worse daily and i can't catch a break. /hj silly

i need comms for spinal surgery/recovery, to move out with my two cats this month, to properly cut ties with my awful family and their debts, and to help my wife and her family financially as i stay with them

"Aster, that's a lot, what could possibly be happening to cause all this?" glad you asked, here's a brief breakdown of everything going on in my life at the moment and why i need help. [CW; contains recent familial death, and mentions bad familial relationships briefly]

• spinal surger(ies); as soon as i turned 18, i started picking up on looking into my physical disabilities that my parental figures never took care of. both me and my sister were diagnosed with scoliosis (& more, in her case) that needs surgery for treatment. this is expensive, this is stressful, this was the first fianical stressor that appeared the past couple of months. we are both scheduled for surgery a day apart from each other. this situation has gotten worse due to more stressors below.

• familial death + debt; my grandmother, one of my parental figures i grew up with, passed away in april. this was and is unfortunate, and i don't want comfort from others about her death. she was going to be the main medical caretaker me and my sister would have after our surgeries, but now we don't have that, and it will cost money to get proper care. she also left us with tax debt we would have to pay off to keep our house.

• my awful mother; to put it bluntly, this may come off as a bit of a rant, but it is needed to stress the importance.

my mother never was, and isn't a good parent, and it has been increasingly difficult to live with her for the past three years.

she has consistently lied and told me misinformation about a magnitude of important things this past couple of months (and my entire life). she cannot take care of me or my sister's medical needs after surgery.

• most important information; recently in the past couple of days, my mother has come clean and told me that the plans we had for keeping our house for a year, healing from surgery from home, us being able to comfortably pay off my grandmother's debts, and finding a good place to live, was all false.

the main issue is that my grandmother had an incredible amount of tax debt we cannot pay off to even stay in the house, even with life insurance money we got. we have to move out of our family's forever home by the end of the month, and it is extremely unlikely my mother is planning on housing me or my cats anymore.

i need to get away from my mother. i will likely need to be able to pay for my own medical expenses, moving, and to help my wife's family, who is lovingly taking me in. i don't want to be in debt to my mother, the government, or anyone, i don't want her to have any reason to keep me/her in her/my life, besides the fact she is the one who birthed me.

commissions are currently the only way i, myself, can make money. i am disabled, and i will be even more disabled after my surgery for a long while, and unable to work jobs available in my area. art is something i can reliably work on even if i am bed ridden.
