as sad and disappointing as this is, look me in the eyes and tell me that this isnt the absolute funniest shit youve ever seen. like, they changed their bio to ONE vaguely implicative sentence and posted some promo statement about where you can find it on streaming services, and this little shitty cockroach fandom (affectionate) absolutely BLOWS THE FUCK UP. like, within the span of 2-3 days, we completely took over tumblr so that this 15-year-old fandom was trending, their twitter account gained roughly 6k followers, and everyone is theorizing about a season six a reboot a spin-off a red white and royal blue crossover every thing under the SUN and it literally gets so bad that the poor intern (thats probably gotten two hours of sleep this week and is running solely on celsius and coffee) and the two-person marketing team that managed this whole thing had to scramble to clarify that WE'RE NOT ACTUALLY DOING ANYTHING WE'RE JUST ADVERTISING THE SHOW AGAIN

like. thats the funniest shit EVER.

merlin fic where merlin lies and says “w h a t ??? mordred, my baby brother, a druid?? nooooo” but mordred is horrible at lying

he just repeats phrases he knows he’s supposed to say like

gaius: merlin are you secretly keeping a druid here ???

mordred, who’s practiced for this, chanting: merlin’s my little brother !

merlin: older

mordred, nodding and still chanting: merlin’s my older brother!

arthur staring at the little thing staring up at him: and who are you?

mordred, who has this also memorized: I Am Mordred. Merlin Is My Older Brother. We Are From Ealdor. Our Mother Is Hunith. 

arthur: …right.

arthur, later to merlin: is your brother okay

literally, anyone who asks mordred who he is gets the very rehearsed response that he is mordred. merlin is his older brother. he is from ealdor. hunith is his mother

every time someone looks suspicious mordred just yells it out 

so its common to just randomly hear a child chanting that he is merlin’s younger brother

arthur finds out that perhaps mordred isn’t merlin’s crazy brother because when merlin finds out he has a dad mordred promptly changes his little speech so that he also mentions a father and arthur gets curious

arthur: if you never knew your father but you and mordred are siblings with the same parents…

I didn’t like how in the show, after Morgana finds out that Merlin is Emrys, she doesn’t properly confront him on it in the caves or in battle, she calls him Emrys and that’s it, and then Merlin just killed her with Excalibur. It’s like they had no history. The writers didn’t remember season 1, 2 and 3?

 Morgana and Merlin are linked together in destiny like Arthur and Merlin (just in a different way)

Emrys is her mortal enemy, the one destined to defeat her, the mysterious sorcerer who has thwarted her countless times and threatens to destroy her dreams.

We needed a REAL confrontation. In s5, after discovering who Merlin is, i was expecting something like this

It really could’ve been a moment to bring some good storytelling back into Morgana’s character. Their confrontation also would have given Merlin an excuse for losing track of Mordred and arthur in the chaos of battle til it was too late.

Missed potential, again.
