Goodbye New York
What I will miss the most about the city will be the fun bars, clubs, and everything that there is to do. If I lived here I would never get bored and I know I would find all the niche spots that I could become a regular at. What I would like to leave behind is all the grossness. I live in Midtown and it is always so dirty, nasty, and theres people everywhere all the time. It is so crowded and I am so ready to get away from the trash, the smells, and the people laying around. The thing I think I have learned the most about myself is that I am very capable of doing things on my own. I always knew I was independent but through my job, navigating the city, going and doing things on my own I have felt that I have grown even more into my independence and been able to grow.

Top Fashion Apps
My three favorite apps from the lists are PS Dept, Pose, and a new app I’ve found called Vogue Runway.
The best app listed for my internship company, Partow, would be Spring. Spring is a mobile shopping app that connects brands directly to their consumers. The app is good for consumers where they can find and buy from the brands they love the most. The app is especially good for the brands and their retail strategy because it allows them to create and control all the product and all the content they put on the app which makes it different from other online retailers.

Vignette: Social Co-Editor
My responsibilities include running the social media Instagram account for the magazine. I have to make the post relevant to the content of our online edition eVolume 4. I think this role fits me decently well. I am not sure what other roles I would want to do or have that would suit me better. I have taken many social media minor classes so I think I have a good understanding of how to create relevant content to marketing the brand through social media. So overall I think this is a good role for me and I am excited to start brainstorming with my fellow team members. If I really enjoy the work I did on this project I could include the magazine and the Instagram profile in a sort of portfolio of work that I have done during my time at Kent State because I already use a lot of my old projects for this after interviews. I also think this can show me how a part of the industry works and allow me to have an insight into the media world that I can bring into my professional career in the future.

The Gentlewoman is a women’s fashion and lifestyle magazine. Their target market is focused on women in today's society explicitly interested in modern topics, ideas, fashion, and profiles. Their media kit states the median age of their readers is 35 years old with the majority of their readers at 66% are between the ages 29-46 and 22% between the ages 18-27. They also state that their readers are 85% female and 15% male with an average income of $110,000. Their distribution is mostly in the UK (52%) and Europe (23%).
The Gentlewoman’s media kit is very visually appealing. They completely lay out neatly exactly what the reader needs to know about the magazine and what they cover, their past collaborations, their target market, the calendar, and rates, as well as an overview of the entire brand. They even outline their Gentlewoman’s Club which is a lifestyle organization surrounding the magazine.
The Gentlewoman’s Editorial Team:

Differences Between International and American Magazines.
Cover: The American magazine had a lot more text on the cover. It explained the premise of some of the stories inside of the magazine to intrigue the consumer. The international magazine had almost no writing. Only the cover picture and the title of the magazine and the cover photo credits.
Content: The international magazine is mostly pictures and interviews of people featured in the magazine. The American magazine has a lot of content geared toward trends, beauty and lifestyle tips, as well as interviews.
Imagery: The pictures of the fashion are very editorial in both magazines.
Advertising: Advertising in the international magazine used more full spread advertisements for luxury brands where the American magazine had maybe one page spread of advertisements for everything from drug store makeup products to the new Gucci collection.

This is an amazing article published by Dazed and Confused magazine that talks about how one fashion house is working to be more sustainable with their production by using fabric made from recycled material and waste.

Animal print skirts have been a huge trend in the streets of New York this weekend. Especially longer, mid-lengthed styles that are flowier.

Rihanna’s new collection for Fenty dropped June 19th during a pop-up at the high-end retail store, The Webster. The collection features beautiful, summer colors such as light pink magenta, turquoise, and mustard. Part of the collection also features a business-like feel through the silhouettes and fabric. The publicity for the event was very successful. The pop-up will be open until June 30th.

The Louis Vitton show was definitely one of my favorites from the A/W 2019 season of catwalks. They also produce such amazing designs that are original and stunning. This season they took heavy influence from the 1940s decade. The 40s decade of fashion was emphasized around World War II. The style was fashioned around the military uniform and the limitations of fabric. Louie Vitton focused on boxy shoulders, pencil skirts, and military-style jackets and suiting that speaks to the themes of this decade. Shoulder pads and peplum styles were also large parts of the 40s decade and Louie Vitton shows these trends of the 40s all while using patterns, fabric, texture, and silhouettes that bring a modern twist to woman’s wardrobe.

My favorite decade of fashion that we learned about is the 90s. I absolutely adore 90s fashion and I am so excited that it is back in trend these past couple of years. I love the mom jeans, high waisted, tube tops, mini skirts, graphic tees and everything about the 90s style. All of these things are the epitome of my own style so that's why I am so drawn to this decade. The movies and music that came out of this era influenced fashion and streetwear through graphics, art, and styling. Vintage and repurposing is such a huge reason why I wanted to go into fashion because I was thrifting and making my own clothes at such a young age. It’s the 90s honey, and I am so glad they are back!
