i said i wouldnt but i lied i want to say something ive been thinking of. sometimes i look back to a past that hasnt been so long ago and feel myself staring at a different world. looking back at old friendships i never could sustain and thinking "can we go back? back to a world made of us? where you and i belonged? does it mean anything to you anymore?". i often when im feeling sad get tempted to go back to shitty relationships and ignore all the hurt just for the nostalgia of something that never was (which i guess is what nostalgia is at its core), and cling on to a hurt im familiar with than the strange worlds the future are inevitably going to bring. to cling to the old worlds is making them betray their purpose, we can visit but we can no longer stay. its a bit dramatic to say for just like remaking blogs i guess but its been eating me as of late and think its appropiate for this at least
#.txt#not as in ill fundamentally change from just changing blogs or itll be some sort of metaphor for a new stage of life. im not dumb#but sometimes i feel like. the world has always moved at a rhythm that i could never keep up and that that one fact is not gonna change any#time soon. looking back at things from years ago feels so recent while looking back on a year ago feels like its been forever#i also worry that the person i become for the life im living is simply not compatible and that being a common feeling among people entering#their 20s is not necessarily comforting. but i digress#theres not really a point to this or some sort of message but i guess if there was it would be to hoping i'll one day learn which bridges#should be burned and which bridges i can still walk on no matter how much it shakes me as im walking them#and a hope i can sacrifice things for the sake of sincerity#i wonder if this counts more as a vent post than anything else
