There are always amazing things to do outside of comic con that you don’t need a comic con badge for
This year that included being able to play Crypt of the Necrodancer on a GIANT COMPUTER

An oddly specific way to vent: separating your emotionally driven thoughts and logically driven thoughts into two versions of yourself and then playing out dialogue between those two bastards.
Also they can size-shift.

G/t math (basics)
I mean why not? I’m doing this in metric since I have never really learned how to calculate in imperial units.
I know there are already a whole bunch of size comparsion tools out there. But what if you need to calculate other sizes/weights aswell? Like items animals etc.
Its better to know the basics how to do it yourself. Because its actually pretty easy to do.
Everyone should already know that a for examle you can use the average height and multiplicate or dividate by the size factor. You got the average height of your character/item/building.
Heighs
Shrinking formula
(initial height) : (size factor) = (final height)
180cm : 12 = 15cm
Growing formula
(initial height) x (size factor) = (final height)
180cm x 12 = 2160cm = 21,6m
This is easy. Because its just a lenght in one dimension.
But I discovered a lot of people have problems to calculate the weights and the surface area of an object/person.
Surfaces
For the surfaces we must add an extra dimension. Because a surface doesn’t only have a lenths but also a width.
Shrinking formula
(initial area) ∶ (size factor)² = (final area)
100m² : 12² = 100m² : 144 = 0,69m²
Growing formula
(initial area) x (size factor)² = (final area)
100m² x 12² = 100m² x 144 = 14.400m²
Weights
Its actually a little different because the weight of an object is practicly the same as mass and mass has three dimensions instead of one or two.
If you reduce the size of an object about 10 times it will not weight 10 times less. It will weight 1000 times less. Thats a lot I know.
Mass also has a lenght a width and also a depth. add an extra dimension.
Shrinking formula
(initial weight) ∶ (size factor)³ = (final weight)
80kg : 12³ = 80kg : 1728 = 0,046kg = 46g
Growing formula
(initial weight) x (size factor)³ = (final weight)
80kg x 12³ = 80kg x 1728 = 138.240kg = 138,24t
This kinda looks pretty difficult but if you get the hang of it I am shure you can master it. =)

Movie Theater
Movie theaters actually sound like a nice place for borrowers to live.
->They have popcorn all over the floor after the movie
-> usually dark so it would be easy to not be seen
->it would be a little loud but there’s probably a few good quiet places to hide

Well I just saw the Pokemon Direct this morning so of course I had to draw this enormous fluffy baby.
Had fun playing around with some digital tools I don’t normally use. Definitely need some practice, but that’s all the more reason to have a go at this sort of thing again!

Me cleaning my room,
Thinking about how different items could be used to climb, the way the spaces behind shelves and boxes look so inviting, and the leftover wrappers of food laying about could have been checked for scraps.
——If you were/are a borrower, would you prefer a messy or clean human’s house? Messier homes would give more opportunities for hiding and foraging, however other creatures would also be more hidden like mice and spiders. However, cleaner homes might be harder to survive in, especially if everything is closed in jars and put away?
Thoughts??
