I wish I could learn how to seize the moment. I spend way to much time either wishing for the future or longing for the past. I feel like this is a common problem with this generation and I’m still trying to find my own plan to fix it.
Maybe writing things out will help. I keep too many thoughts in my head and never actually put them down to visualize them. Heres to a new year. Lets start with some goals for 2018. I know Im a little late because its already February, but its better late than never.
1 - Do a paid photo shoot/video project
2 - write a song. A real song. with a full band.
3 - Get out of the country ( fortunately this is a sure bet)
4 - Stop missing class (you’d be surprised how easy this is and how often I fall into it.)
5 - pray more. Find someone to pray with. ( for some reason my friends always seem to let me down in this regard. I know, I should be more assertive, but I just get in this rut of telling myself “you shouldn’t want to prioritize time with them if they don’t prioritize time with you”. I know. cynical.)
6 - Read my Bible more ( I know these last too are cliche, but they have been a huge struggle for me in the past. Its gotta change. )
7 - Be intentional with the final few months with my friends. This is a big one that I have definitely taken for granted. Graduation is going to be hard. Real hard.
8 - Make my bed everyday (Again, major struggle)
9 - Run a half marathon (This one has been on the mental list for years now.)
10 - Stay positive.
10 seems like a good number for now considering these are goals that I have been working to accomplish for years now. Now I’m trying to complete them in a year. Ha. Wish me luck.

I’m sad because the love for the Republican Party leaves people to die in its shadow. The love for the Republican Party trumps the love of Jesus Christ himself.

—————
Sincerity has never been fair to me.
I gave all my money to charity.
But now I’m broke and people just stare at me
Sincerity has never been fair to me.
Well adorned in my vesture they stare at me.
Past rugged brow I make it out, lacking clarity.
“Who are you” they say and turn quickly away.
I don’t see the worth in the charity.
