Why oh, why do men/boys/guys think their opinion holds all the value? Why is it when women agree to someone’s compliment about their appearance or anything else for that matter we’re considered egotistical? or that we’re gloating about ourselves? Welllll...shid. Don’t compliment me in the first place then! I really don’t need your validation of myself, thank you very much.
On a serious note: We give people too much value on their opinion of us when in reality, we don’t need it, at all, not even a little bit. Would we like certain people in our life, yes of course! we all crave love and attention, but would we die without them or their opinion? no. My value isn’t based off of what you think I am to you, it’s based off what I KNOW I AM to me. Now, repeat that to yourself :)
