HC pertaining to the idea of Jay keeping some Serpentine features after “Once Bitten, Twice Shy”-

Jay doesn’t actually need to blink, he more just does it out of habit now. Snakes have a layer over their eyes that basically does the job of blinking in lieu of them not having eyelids. So Jay can basically win every staring contest he’s challenged to so long as it’s not against an actual serpentine.

does anyone else headcanon that Kai would be managing bills or taxes in earlier season. Or at least reviewing them or asking Wu if they’re done yet. He volunteers, because despite being in a secure living situation he still needs to be extra sure he has a roof over his head. Especially during the apartment thing in season 2.

Nya, being a roughly 14 year old girl in season1 and crushing incredibly hard, definitely wrote stuff like “Mrs. Walker” “Nya Walker” “Mrs. Nya Walker” in a notebook.

Nya is allowed to be just as cringy as Jay in early jaya <3

Bonus: only time she ever wished to have Kai’s powers is a couple years later when she finds said notebook and immediately wants to burn it

This fine evening I am coming to you with a Nya headcanon.

So, um, remember this scene in seabound where Wu's chicken is sitting on Nya's bed? Apparently it's canon that Nya slept with it. I saw that scene and had a neuron activation moment.

So I'm headcanoning now that Nya sleeps with the chicken like you would with a dog. It's probably warm, and has soft feathers. So I feel like especially when she's sad or feeling lonely she would just take miss chicken and try to fall asleep.

Now then, it's a lightning chicken. Yeah. So I feel like even if she accidentally got shocked here or there she wouldn't mind at all, it would totally remind her of Jay. Which is nice, when Jay is missing.

Also no, she's not wearing Jay's season 1 pijama shirt, you're crazy.

Need Kai and Bonzle having some sort of stupid fucking inside jokes with each other because yes the Nether Space was traumatising but the best coping mechanism is humor so I just imagine them coming up with anything at all to make each other laugh, leading to such convoluted jokes that no one would be able to get them now

Stupid and inconvenient allergies the ninja have:

Lloyd: Hayfever, hates summer and locks himself in the monastery but it doesn’t even do much because his eyes still get all swollen like a cherry. Jay makes fun of his sneezes.

Kai: he can’t eat eggs. He always throws up after. He can’t even smell eggs cause now he just automatically feels like throwing up.

Zane: he’s allergic to copper. I just find it funny if he was.

Nya: SHES CANONICALLY ALLERGIC TO PERFUME I REFUSE TO FORGET THAT.

Cole: he’s allergic to dogs. After he turned into a dog in dragons rising for a short time, Zane had to shove medicine down his throat.

Jay: Jay is one of the rare individuals who aren’t allergic to anything, he makes fun of everyone else’s. (Lies, Jay has a basic nut allergy and eh refuses to tell anyone and has went through years without anyone finding out, until Nya made him a cake with nuts in it.)

I know it's a common headcanon thay Zane texts extremely Proper with exact grammar which is good, but I also love the idea that he literally constantly looks up text slang and even goes so far as to periodically read academic papers written on how instant messaging effects language, like doing research to optimize his texting skills, and because of this. He is by far the most up-to-date trendy texter. He knows all the lingo and shorthand and absolutely no one expects that from him. He'll use acronyms of things he would never say in real life

we’ve all seen headcanons about zane being more violent after the whole ice emperor thing, but have you considered: what if he goes in the opposite direction?

being afraid to fight, afraid of letting his power take control again, afraid of feeling that cold chill build up in the back of his mind, because it reminds him of the same ice that he used as a weapon of mass destruction

becoming squeamish with blood because it reminds him of the way his prisoners bled as growing spears of ice cut into their flesh

putting himself in the path of danger more and more, repeating to himself “i am built to protect” because he can’t let himself forget it, not again

becoming unable to kill enemies because every time he sees their faces, he remembers the countless formlings pleading for their lives under his unrelenting blade as vex whispers those familiar words, “destroy them, destroy them.”

Also Lloyd, Laurel and Leyla, and maybe even Wu do get effects on that. It makes sense to me
