I tried my hand again at dumplings since I had all these #FlatbushFarmShare sweet and hot peppers, Chinese cabbage, garlic, onions, garlic snapes, carrots, and sweet corn. Still a tough thing to make. They keep opening when placed in the steamer. When you have time to make breakfast. The #BeyondMeatBurgers are very big and thick and I have found a great way to cook them so they don’t get over cooked, yet are cooked all the way through. First I season the ‘raw’ burger with vinegar, salt, paprika, steak sauce, mustard and lime juice. Then I sautéed the #FlatbushFarmShare onions until caramelized, then I cook one side, turn over to cook the other side, and place slices of #FlatbushFarmShare heirloom tomato into the pan with the caramelized onions. When both sides of the #BeyondMeatBurger have been cooked, I pour the seasoning liquid into the pan and cook for about a minute until the sauce thickens. Remove and place on the toasted buns. I used Portuguese rolls toasted with cheese. Dress the burger with lettuce, ‘secret sauce’, avocados, and pickle relish. Delicious.
