‘How To See The World’ - Glossary
“The postmodern changed modern skyscrapers from austere rectangular blocks into the playful towers, with kitschy and pastiche features, that now dominate skylines worldwide.” (Mirzeoff 12)
Kitschy- often thought to be poor in taste, tacky or pretentious. kitsch refers to art works which are purely decorative pieces rather than works which cause the viewer to engage their thinking further.
pastiche- art works which imitate someone else’s work or style

FAVOURITE DESIGNS
Firstly, The IPhone, the iphone is one of the greatest designs ever to grace the world. its innovating technology, minimalist design and user friendly characteristics makes it an awesome piece of deisgn.
Secondly, The Adidas Ultraboost shoe. This shoe utilizes a new technology Adidas has created called ‘Boost’, boost is the what coloured part of the mid-sole. Boost is considered to be the most comfortable shoe sole material, with that along with the shoes stunning design it is one my my favourite designs.
