Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery Timeline:

I’ve been playing the game for more than a year. I’m up to date on the latest chapter, but between new content and continuous events, it can be difficult to see the big picture. Shirryona posted a great spreadsheet on the Reddit and I thought I would re-format it and add Year 6 so far.

Some notes:

This is more to do with the overall story than individual trigger points within the game. Some side quests just seem more appropriate at certain times of the year.

Many side quests are implied to take place over the course of weeks/months. Please take the date mentioned as the one in which they begin rather than end.

As of October 2020, MC can only play Quidditch for their House team in Year 2 +3. However, in later years, it is implied that matches are held every year in November, February and May.

I’ve included all creature side quests in year 3 and above, regardless of when they trigger. The Dragon SQs in particular were placed in Year 6 to reflect MC taking NEWT level Care of Magical Creatures classes.

Year 6 is the longest part of the game so far, so forgive me if I’ve lost track. If you have a good reason for supposing that Rowan’s death or Alanza’s arrival took place at a different time then let me know.
