SPOILERS FOR OTHERS: About Daniel- yes there are comics with him, but The Dreaming is meh. Nightmare Country is good and Daniel is written really well, but not in much. As for things written by Neil, Daniel makes appearances in Endless Nights and Overture, but only very briefly. He needs more love and I desperately want Neil to write more with him.

Cyberpunk... 2089?

More detailed spoilers of the comics under the cut

Well I just read the 10 volumes of the comic and after crying at the end of the 9th and almost all the 10th… I got curious. Like, maybe Daniel someday would feel curious about the human friend his former self had and decided to pay him a visit and Hob would be really confused because Death only told him that Dream has died (more like confirmed, deep down he knew Dream was gone and that was so sad and beautiful because he managed to remeber the funeral) but no that he has to keep existing like the same but also not the same?.

Or maybe he already did that, because I'm not sure if the thing I saw about Daniel getting his own comic series is real or not XD

Also I haven't played Cyberpuk 2077 but I really want to :c

I loved how this panel ended. Liked seriously I really like it.

Anyway since I don't have many original ideas, this where the inspiration came from:

First of all the headcanons of Hob hating Shakespeare. I put Romeo and Juliet because it's the most famous and I didn't want to include the ones that Dream commisionated (A midfommer nights dreame (I search this in wikipedia because I read the play in spanish) and The Tempest).

This particular panel of the comics.

The book Hob has is Die Traumdeutung wich acording to wikipedia should be the original name of dream interpretation of Sigmund Freud, and after reading the comics I think Dream doesn't like when others help the dreamer to understand their dreams (I think he even told Orpheus "It's your dream, you should know" or something like that even knowing that greek dreams tendet to be prophetic) except when he does it (Sometimes you die, sometimes you wake up, but sometimes...)

And this is also inspired on the ending on the fic Waiting for a star to fall (but I can't said which part because it would be a spoiler but go read it, is really cool and angsty)

Falling into Morpheus' Arms

There's this expression in spanish "Caer en brazos de Morfeo" or "Estar en brazos de morfeo" that would translate something like "Falling into Morpehus' arms" or "Being in Morpheus' arms" and those expressions mean literally falling asleep or being alseep. And I can't believe it took me like five or six drawing of Hob and Morpheus in that pose to remember the phrase (it's not too common I think) so I decided to make my own drawing about it.

One of Dream’s Outfits

I don’t remember what was my initial intention with this drawing I was just trying to capture Tom Sturridge face and then I remembered I had this image of one of Dream's outfits that I liked a lot, so I decided to draw it as practice. I still like the sketchy version more tho, which is why I decided to add it here.

Alternative Title: Dream shapeshifting because he can and knows Hob won’t freak out.

I know it’s difficult to understand what’s happening (or at least that’s what my friend said) but it’s my second attempt drawing in this kind of comic format. I will improve (I hope). Meanwhile here’s a confusing story because I wanted to try to draw Dream in different shapes|forms.

Things my friend asked me:

Why did Dream get angry? Because the sleeping pills remember him about his imprisonment (since one of the side-effects of that was that some people couldn’t sleep anymore)

Why did he turn into a cat? Because he wanted to, no other motive 😅

I have totally forgotten about this meme, but it suddenly appeared on my feed and I immediately thought this.

I started reading the comics and I couldn’t get out of my head the phrase Dream says to Calliope “I don’t dance, not even with you, my wife” or something along those lines. And then I read a couple of fics of Hob and Dream dancing… So that’s where I got this idea. It’s super silly, but it gave me an excuse to draw Death and Hob (my two favourite character, “the healing ones”) interacting. (And jealous Dream)

Our own little Ms Marvel

So what can I say? I ended up loving the series. I admit that I whined a bit about the change of powers but after episode 3 I decided just to enjoy it and all the interviews that I heard while doing this drawing made me understand and love the new powers. I love the cast, they all seem so nice and amazing.

Anyway this is the most ambitious fan art I ever made and I think it turn out fine.
