"Well you're talking now." Kaito scoffed and crossed his arms; his back against the wall while his gaze remained fixed on the horizon. His voice was clear over the sound of passing cars.

There was a stretch of silence as Kaito wondered what might be in his friend's head. Most days, Kaito wouldn't mind leaving Zero to process his thoughts by himself. He had those moments too. But this? This wasn't 'most days'. Zero had suffered a lot after all. He sighed. "Alright. You know that's only going to make things worse for me. Out with it, Zero. Or I'll force it out of you."

Verses

[ main ] Undercover Teacher: He is an active vampire hunter who works as a teacher as a cover. Loosely based on the manga with major headcanons due to minor appearances in canon.

Raised by a family who cared little of him, Kaito fled his home at a young age and trained under Toga Yagari alongside Zero and Ichiru. On his first mission with Toga, he insisted on killing his own elder brother, who had been bitten by a Pureblood. His rough upbringing and Toga's influence has led Kaito to develop a gruff, sarcastic and short-tempered disposition.

Covers events post Cross Academy. Has some references to canon with major headcanons.

Kaito Takamiya is a character from the manga Vampire Knight by Matsuri Hino. He is an active vampire hunter who also works as a teacher. One of Toga Yagari's disciples, he trained alongside Zero and Ichiru Kiryuu. In my portrayal, he is over 21 years of age. My portrayal is loosely based on the manga with major headcanons.
