S E T T I N G ;

The world fell apart generations ago. When the grandfathers of their fathers (or was it before that?) walked the planet. Born into a broken world and raised in it; skin accustomed to the burning sun and dry landscape. Children of a place long lost, long burnt out.

Water is...scarce. What little remains is mostly contaminated and filtering it has become a daily battle, for when one finds water there is another more eager to drink it. Caution is adviced -- always. The landscape is dry: desert plains stretch forward on and on and on. Life on the planet, for the most part, is silent. Has been after the Great War. After bombs and death ravaged the earth.

But the human race prevails. They breed and evolve along with the land. They adapt. 

Armor, thick and hardly conventional by civilized society’s standards, adorns the bodies of the warriors still standing. They fight with make-shift weapons and defend their own. They continue. 

They eat and sleep and breathe and love. Most importantly, they live. They still live.

I N F E C T E D ;

The infected are fast. Atomic bombs created their race and have modified their DNA to make them sharper than any normal human. They thirst for blood and human meat. Hardly sleep. Their senses are highly sensitive and they react just as fast. 

O O C ;

The event will begin on Monday 26th of June, at the following time:

EST: 00:00 AM

GMT: 04:00 AM

CST: 23:00 PM – this timezone will begin the event on Sunday 25th.

PST: 21:00 PM  – this timezone will begin the event on Sunday 25th.

ART: 01:00 AM

An announcement will be made by the main letting everyone know that the event has begun. You will have to make sure to be tracking the tag hst:radioactive which is where you will post all of your starters. You may not use the tag hst:starter for this event, since that tag belongs to regular rp activity. We will also suggest that you stick to short interactions so that you may cover more ground in less time. You can plot if you’d like to – we highly suggest that you do. Plotting for events is what makes them fun in the first place since you’ll likely end up working solely on those and not random convos.

All other activity (interactions) will cease. Anyone who fails to check in with us (either to tells us they will or won’t participate) will still be on activity check, so please be sure to contact us via private message (IMs will not be accepted).

The event will end on Friday 30th of June after an announcement has been made by the main signaling the finalization. After that, all event related activity must be stopped and regular rp activity resumed. If for some reason you would like the event to be extended, be sure to make a suggestion and we’ll take it into consideration. Same goes if the event dies down – should activity hit a low, the event will be cancelled.

E X T R A ;

It’s important to point out that the apocalypse started in the 1940s, so please be mindful of the evolution of weapon and fashion trends after that point in time. Please avoid bringing up any modern inventions. For those of you familiar with the Fallout games, this would be very similar to that. The time of the event is current times (2017), but the world has not evolved as it has in real life. Please contact us with any questions you may have!

We will remind you that the interactions that take place in this event are not cannon. Everything that gets established during this week (relationships, plots, etc.) will be not considered part of our normal rp verse and will not affect your character post-event, so try to post with people you normally wouldn’t.

On another note, we’d love to see you create character development things for your muse during this event: playlists, poems, self-paras, edits, gif sets, anything. Feel free to share these things like you normally would!

                    Hell State Plot Drop 005.                       “Siren Call”

S E T T I N G ;

God, what is that? Do you hear it? It started early in the evening, a loud high-pitched scream. Wait, no, not a scream — an alarm, A SIREN. From the depths of Northern Cheyenne, something is calling out. Or rather somewhere. The source of the siren is unknown, only that it comes from somewhere in the Northeastern parts of town. The call of the siren is unrelenting, loud and shrill, attracting the attention of zombies and thrill-seeking raiders alike. How long will it continue to blare? How long before the siren dies or someone (hopefully) finds the source to shut it off? 

How long are you wiling to stick around to find out?

I N F E C T E D ;

As stated above, a large majority of zombies have been attracted to the sound of the alarm and are now heading their way towards Northern Cheyenne. Now, this is not ALL zombies, just a very large horde of them. This will mostly and heavily impact this surrounding area (The Cheyenne Country Club camp, The V.A. Medical Center camp, The Saddle Ridge Elementary School camp, Ingrid Sergeant, Theo Langley, Cassidy Poe, Charming Williams, Olivia Staford, among others) Remember just because a lot of zombies are heading North, that does not mean Cheyenne is safe and you should not operate under the impression that it is! You can see more of the area that is in trouble on the map located on our main page.

The plot drop will begin on Friday 26th of May, at the following time:

EST: 00:00 AM

GMT: 04:00 AM

CST: 23:00 PM – this timezone will begin the event on Thursday 25th.

PST: 21:00 PM  – this timezone will begin the event on Thursday 25th.

ART: 01:00 AM

An announcement will be made by the main letting everyone know that the plot drop has begun, so don’t start the plot drop proceedings until the main has posted the start notice. This plot drop is considered regular rp activity, so there will be no separate starters tag, and all starters shall go in the hst:starter tag. Any starter that is made in between the start date and the end date of the plot drop must include and/or directly mention the plot drop, as this is happening in real time and what every citizen of Cheyenne will be dealing with. Again, we highly encourage you to plot with your fellow members!

You may continue threads from before the plot drop, though we suggest closing those up quickly and focusing on threads from the plot drop so everyone can participate. Since this plot drop is canon, everyone is already enrolled, so there will be no participants list for this particular plot drop.

The plot drop will end on Tuesday 30th of March after an announcement has been made by the main signaling the finalization. After that, you may continue plot drop related threads, though no new starters dealing with the plot drop should be posted.

E X T R A ;

Woo, we’re on number five! This one, like the previous plot drop, is pretty localized to one part of Cheyenne, though it is a very large part! This is because the Northern parts of Cheyenne are generally less populated and not a lot of action has happened up there yet! If your character lives in the affected area and isn’t included on the list, let me know. Remember, all plot drops will change in severity and length, so pay attention to the details each time! And of course, if you have any questions, let us know!
