I’ll do both. I’m going to answer for Starkie here and make a separate Rednid post.

Note: The hypothetical scenario here is that Star and Jackie are much older, dating, and living together on Earth.

Who’s the cuddler?

Star is the hardcore cuddler. Especially at night. When Star and Jackie go to bed, Star clings to her like a life raft. It takes a pair of heavy-duty pliers for Jackie to extract herself. She’s absolutely out of luck if/when Star goes into her butterfly form.

Who makes the bed?

Neither Star or Jackie make the bed. They’re both free spirit types, so tucking in sheets and blankets is pretty low on their respective lists. It’s already a miracle either one washes the sheets/blankets at least once a month…(Jackie’s usually the one that does it at that. Living with Sir Lavabo has really spoiled Star).

Who wakes up first?

Jackie wakes up first. On weekdays, she gets up to make breakfast for her and Star as well as prepare for a busy day as a high school history teacher.

Star swears that one day Jackie can stop buying fridge-safe materials for breakfast, but between sugaritos and Star’s infomercial addiction, nope. She’ll wake up at 7 in the morning for two days and she’s back to late nights by Thursday.

Who has the weird taste in music?

As she gets older, Star develops a strange affinity for Celtic music. Janna helps her find some pretty obscure titles that are kinda out there even for Jackie the self-declared music buff.

Who is more protective?

Whether it’s the heat of battle or unwanted suitors, Star is a bit too ready to jump in front of Jackie and thrust her wand in someone’s face. There’s been way too many incidents where Star “wanded” someone and Jackie’s had to smooth things over. At least the two found and hired a kickass attorney over the course of Star’s various mishaps.

Who sings in the shower?

Star sings everywhere she goes. She started insisting that Jackie shower with her just to practice harmonies and the lyrics to certain songs. Star is hellbent on the idea that they’ll win [Insert Title of Dumb Reality Talent Show Here].

Who cries during movies?

It’s kind of worrying how often Star cries at movies. The couple got together? She cries. The two friends finally made up? Tears. The toddler didn’t get a snocone? That’s not a dramatic or emotionally charged scene, Star.

Jackie actually had to sit down and have several different talks about fiction vs. reality with Star. When a small-time celebrity moved to town, Star kept asking her questions as if she were truly that character she played on that one show years back. It took Jackie three years to finally get Star to realize “She’s an actress.”

Who spends the most while out shopping?

Star has a notebook full of just about every infomercial product that exists. She’s the reason Jackie had to start budgeting since every time Star returned from a grocery trip, she was missing a few groceries and $100.00 over budget with unnecessary extras such as the Banagic Wand 3000, the Pet Platypus Nail Trimmers, or the Rejuvenique.

Who kisses more roughly?

Between the two, Star gets a bit rough because of her Johansen genes shining through. Though, her kisses are more…sloppy and slimy than rough, though.

Who is more dominate?

Both Star and Jackie are pretty dominant personalities, so it depends on the situation. Star takes the reigns for high-octane adventure and spontaneous outings while Jackie leads in social settings.

They know how to compromise and work with the other’s strengths, so they tend to be on equal terms in their relationship.

My rating of the ship from 1-10:

9/10

To preface this, I’m fully aware Starkie is definitely a crack ship/fan-made ship. These two probably rank as high as they do because I’ve dreamed up how a potential relationship could work and what kind of dynamic they could have.

Both Star and Jackie are friendly, energetic, and adventurous. Jackie tends to be pretty laidback and levelheaded, which could complement how crazy and chaotic Star can get. Jackie would entertain Star’s crazier ideas, but step in and tell her to dial it back a bit without getting naggy/stern. When Star needs someone to talk to, Jackie would be warm, open, and understanding; she’d be a good sounding board for Star when she wants to bounce ideas off of someone.

I don’t know. I just know I dig what fan content/fanon exists for Starkie and hope more pops up.
