Taylor Swift loves you so why not love her. I MET THE LOVELIEST MOST DOWN TO EARTH PERSON 7/13 (My 13th Taylor concert). 1989: DC, Rock in Rio USA. Red: London(2)/KC/Pittsburgh/Newark. iHeartRadio Vegas 2012. Speak Now: DC. Fearless: Little Rock/Charleston/Columbus/Columbia.
I think the reason I’m disappointed is because I always have supported Taylor in her business endeavors, but this is different. She’s now asking us not to pay $4 to buy a music video, or even $10, but $10 a MONTH to have the music video. As an artist who as always represented herself as someone who asks extremely little of her fans (i.e.: inviting them to her house, 13 hour meet and greet, never having to pay to meet her) the fact that this music video is “only on Apple Music” upsets me because even though I do HAVE $10 a month to shell out on Apple Music, not everyone does. In addition, the “three month free trial” argument is void now. Most Swifties began their trial on or before December 31 to watch the 1989 World Tour Live. That means their trial ended on March 31. Well, it’s April 6. you can’t tell me that wasn’t planned. I realize it’s probably Apple requiring Taylor through her contract to only release the video there or something like that but it’s not like she blindly signed it… Now Swifties HAVE to buy Apple Music to legally watch the video. I hope Taylor does not continue to release music videos this way, because it’s disappointing and will only result in her music video being illegally uploaded to countless sites in countless ways. Taylor, I love you to the moon and back, but please remember the middle and lower class fans who have to watch what they spend. We love the music video - we only wish it didn’t cost us so much to watch it.
