if i could make any saints row game i would without any hesitation make a prequel about the start of the Vice Kings. you’d play a custom character who was friends with King, and King would work as the Boss while Julius, King’s sister Angela, and Ranja (yes this would use my headcanons its my dream game) would be the lieutenants and homies you’d do missions with

it would take place at the end of the 70s/start of the 80s and make full use of the fashion and music like you’d have a full fucking range of rap and classic rock to pick from… it’d have such a good soundtrack

obviously it would be about forming the Vice Kings and fighting Los Carnales and the big bad guys would be the Carnales… it would be about breaking down as much of them as possible and trying to take back territory… it would run a lot like a traditional saints row game for the most part.. have a single storyline like 3&4 and lots of activities

obviously it doesn’t end with you taking over the whole city. maybe it ends with Lopez jr dying? anyway in the end Julius and Ranja leave the gang, Angela dies like ¾ths of the way through, the player character… either leaves or dies idk but there has to be a reason they could plausibly not be in later games yknow? it would have a dark ending overall but that’s just… the lore of the game

im so obsessed with the potential of having a game set in the past and the huge amount of shit you could do with that… it would be really refreshing i think
