Overwhelming vote so here goes:

I honestly enjoy the space Tumblr provides to writing and role playing, and I very much enjoy role playing… it’s a fantastic writing exercise that I treasure and use to help me with ideas for original projects.

That said… for years now I’ve been rather, frustrated? Not really sure at who it’s aimed toward, probably no one but the frustration remains all the same.

With my experience, I feel as though… I’m limited? Like, I feel like I can’t write the characters I want to write and the stories I want to tell because of a seeming lack of drive for people to push themselves past comfort.

That isn’t any one person’s fault, but it is just something I’ve noticed… I want to write certain characters, that may be lesser known or from lesser known fandoms… but the interest for crossovers just seems non-existent? And it feels like to get any sort of interest I have to stick to big name IPs and equally big name characters that are probably heavily over saturated and thus not leaving much room to have creative freedom.

Like I think sometimes people lose sight of how much work it is to actually get a blog off the ground? I’m honestly tired of putting the passion into doing so for a character I really like and then there be nothing to show for it because it’s “not normie enough” or something.

I just wish people were more open… you know?

All this makes me frustrated many times, and I wish I knew how to NOT feel this way or how to remedy the situation but despite my best efforts it seems impossible to me so I’ve honestly stopped trying to not be irritated by it?

Maybe I’m just being a whiny prick and I need introspection but idk if I’m even making sense so I’ll stop while I’m ahead.
