Hello,

As most of you know, my mum and my youngest sister who is disabled have been homeless for the last year after leaving my abusive Dad.

They've finally been given a flat and are looking to move in, but the council flats don't come with any flooring. I've been able to help them with a cooker, washing machine & fridge freezer, as well as paint and some wallpaper to get it more livable, but the flooring is a big cost and needs doing before they can move in which hopefully will be as soon as possible especially to help with my sisters care.

This is what we’ve got so far: Hallway: Flooring achieved! ✅ Living room: Flooring achieved! ✅ Mums bedroom: Flooring in progress 🛠️ Sisters bedroom: Flooring in progress 🛠️ Kitchen: Flooring in progress 🛠️ Bathroom: Flooring in progress 🛠️

We've only made it this far with help from you lovely folks and we're all so grateful, you wouldn't believe how much difference just having flooring in two rooms makes, but we still have quite a way to go. I'm trying to work as much overtime as possible, but I have my own disabilities and I don't earn that much to begin with, so we're writing around charities and any government schemes too, but we could use all the help we can get.

do you ever think about how Anton Yelchin didn’t know why he was cast as Chekov but still gave the role his all? how he watched all of TOS to understand what it meant to be a Star Trek actor? how excited he was to be part of a series with a character that he loved deeply?

and then do you ever think about how deeply Star Trek loved him back? three vessels named “USS Yelchin”? a memorial plaque next to Gene Roddenberry? walter koenig, the original Chekov, who gave his blessing for Anton to play the character, saying that it’s right that the character not be recast after Anton died?
