A casual comment, despite the wording he didn't sound egotistical- just plain relaxed.

He watched as the figure clasped his hand onto Matt's shoulder, glancing at it for a brief second before exchanging his gaze at the shoulder to the others eyes watching intently. Listening to every word he spoke.

Seeing the other eyeing him for injuries, Matt allowed it- and made no quick fix ups to his shuffled posture, as he is no man to hide how severe his injuries could be.

His head eventually turned to look left and right, a simple spot check of where he was incase something sprung from the dark while he wasn't looking. His guard remained steady as he finally pulled his arms off of the other.

💥 ; " Ehhh.. just a sprained ankle, but it's made no progress in stopping me! "

He stated proudly, that was one of his many positives- he could push himself through, no matter what injury tried to stop him as he had a heart of pure determination inside.

💥 ; " How are you though? All good? Nothing botherin you? "

He assessed , seemingly pushing past his own injuries for a moment to check if he was mentally okay.

An annoyed grunt was muffled underneath his own breath , waking up from another cold-sweat to a ankle that could drag on for weeks wouldn't soothe him as much as he'd like.

He stared within the distance, squinting his eyes as he saw a figure- large enough to be 1337, but then again he had recognized none of the features his friend would normally have so he stayed at a eyes distance.

Unaware if he should be on the ready to be attacked, helped, or just stared back at he eventually got up despite his shuffle, leaning on the bark of a tree to shift the weight of his own body onto the leg that could manage it.

The voice, the way the pupils were, they all connected- but was he so sure? Could it be? He wouldn't doubt his gut for a second- as the wind was quickly knocked out of him. Almost immediately was he pulled into a tight grip, feeling his air leaving him faster than expected.

💥 ; " OUFH - "

The soldier wrapped his arms back around the disguised individual, his own grip just as tight, patting the others back with a warm sensation . No way he wasn't who he thought he was.

💥 ; " Hey, hey! Chillax big guy! Don't need you squeezing the life out of me here! "

His day had turned bright on him as he retorted the friendly comment.

💥 ; " I'm not gonna fly away or anything! Its great to see you. "

His soft smile had turned into a cheesy grin, and he could feel the pure joy from both of them.

As he heard the footsteps approach, seeing the individual doused in blood was a fright- but he halted those small terrors in his mind before they went too far.

The eyes reeked of familiarity, as if he had seen them once before- then he realized. He had known this person before.

He shoved his body off of the tree, as his leg lay slightly bent while standing he looked at the other with a proud smile, the usual grin he always had.

His voice was gentle and with a sense of care, he made no quarrel, he made no fight as he did not catch the other as a threat.

💥 ; " Long time no see, eh? "
