Summary: The coming of age ceremony is fast approaching for Katsuki and Izuku. The moment everyone eagerly awaits, when the elders bestow them with the token that will define their worth in society, and every alpha will work hard to pay off their and their chosen mate’s tokens. Katsuki and Izuku have been sharing each other’s cycles for a while and, although their tokes are prospected to be in totally different leagues, Izuku thought Katsuki would ask him to be his mate regardless. Until he finds out the blond alpha doesn’t. Alright then, who cares if no one recognises his worth? Izuku won’t stay down and wait for someone who doesn’t want him, that’s for sure.

Frankie’s comment: Grovel Katsuki, grovel, you dumbass. You never recognise the worth of what you have until you lose it. I think this fic pretty much centres around that saying, but oh well, Kacchan’s mostly self aware at least. A little late perhaps but definitely not too little. Go big or go home after all, am I right? And Izu deserves it all🧡💚
