Hey if you ever worry that your art is too self-indulgent and weird, consider the following:

You know Franciso de Goya? Yeah that Goya. The one who painted "saturn devouring his son" and the other 13 of what are called his "black paintings", which are dark, creepy, and while you might not know all the other ones, if you only vaguely recognise the name Goya, the first image to pop into your head is probably this one:

Unless you've got an art history degree. This post isn't aimed at people with an art history degree. Anyway, those of you who aren't into art history probably only vaguely know the story, of how he was a painter and these 14 were his private paintings, only painted for himself, not commissioned by a customer and never intended to be publicly displayed. People were shocked when they were first discovered, due to how starkly different they were from his other, more traditional and conventional paintings.

This is the part I want you to meditate on: Goya also made plenty of normal art for normal people. A whole bunch of perfectly normal paintings.

It’s a popular trope in fic that Dabi gets a girl (or sometimes a man) pregnant. I’m not the target audience for those stories, but it made me wonder: what might he do in that situation?

After thinking it over (considering his cruelty, obsession with revenge, his treatment of Natsuo and Shouto, and his relationship with Endeavor) here’s what I think: he wouldn’t care about the woman or the child. The moment he realized there was a way to hurt his father, he would exploit it. Having access to Endeavor’s only grandchild? That's a powerful weapon...

I'm Canadian and me and my buddies growing up would always guess whether or not the characters in our favourite shows were afraid of geese and whether or not they would try to fuck with them. So my question to you is who in the league would try and catch a goose, who would chicken out when they start hissing, and who would just avoid all together?

Avoiding:

Mr. Compress: He could easily catch a goose in a marble, but why would he? (Maybe to train it as an attack goose later on? lmao. He decompresses a marble and yells “GOOSE ATTACK!”… I almost want to put him in catching the goose now just because of this scenario).

Dabi: He’s not going to waste his time like that or make himself look stupid running after a goose.

Kurogiri: “Leave the goose alone.”

Chickening out:

Spinner: He’s up for the challenge, but he isn’t going to risk a goose attack. He’s the only smart one, trying to lure it with bread lmao. As soon as the bread is gone, the goose is pissed and hisses. Spinner is out lmao. He will instinctively hiss back, though.

Magne: I love Magne, but I can picture her being one of those people who are like “I’m so good with animals and nature.” and then, as she’s approaching the goose with her arms out, it hisses and she screams and runs.

Catching the goose:

Toga: She just wants to pet it lmao.

Tomura: I fully believe that if you dare this man to do anything, he’ll do it. He’s gonna catch the goose. It’s probably gonna bite him, and he’s going to curse the entire time, but he’ll do it.
