“I would say, just like to be content within myself. I don't really care what job I have, or what my future holds, even if I'm homeless on the street. As long as, you know, I find content within myself; then I'm good.” -Lehna Belony

“I believe I've encountered real love before. It’s a sensation that becomes clear once you’ve experienced it for yourself. Love is the feeling of knowing that person will stick by your side, even when you're ready to give up. They will be with you through your ups and downs and won’t judge any flaws that you have. True love is reflected by the actions that follow. The patience and kindness, and presence during your darkest moments. Love is a real feeling that you’ll recognize when you’ve truly experienced it.” -Nia Webster

“[How do you fake loving someone?] Love bombing. Tell them what they wanna hear. You just basically make them feel how they feel for you, even though you don't feel the same way. You just do it anyway. You say what they wanna hear, do what you wanna do, you give them the things that they want to know, and even though you don’t feel the same way, you’re giving those actions to make them think that you are. So, leading them on. A little bit of manipulating.” -Mikaylah Pamphile

“[When asked what her greatest accomplishment is] I don't feel I have one. I think about my legacy a lot, like what legacy am I leaving? And I really think that it boils down to my students and my kids, and what kind of people they will be going forward. I never feel prouder than when I hear of a former student doing well. Especially in the context where I think I might have helped, had some influence.” -Katie Cianelli

“My plan after high school is to become a successful pediatrician. Growing up I didn't really know any black doctors, and I want it to be different for kids of the younger generation. I want to be an example of what black success looks like. Overall after high school I just want to be successful and have no money issues.” -Laylah Bernadeau

“Recently I've been arguing with my best friend a lot. I'm not like- one to fall asleep after getting in an argument. Especially with like- I just can't go to sleep when someone- I know someone’s mad at me. And it just pisses me off ‘cause they'll ignore me, or they'll like even block me if I spam them. So. It's just been probably keeping me up for the past couple nights till like two in the morning.” -Luc Larue

“It was probably when I met one of my favorite basketball players- well he’s in college now. His name is Dasonte Bowen, and yeah, I look up to him a lot, and I finally met him. I actually have his number right now.” - Jeremiah Hileus

“When I was leaving CVS, I put money in my mouth to hold it ‘cause I had a lot of stuff in my hands, and the guy- a guy mailman-he walks up and he’s like, “Don’t put that in your mouth. It’s dirty.” I told him, “Don’t tell me what to do,” and he goes, “Oh yeah, you’re pathetic… you’re pathetic.” I was like, I didn’t- I didn’t do anything.” - Bryanna Dauphine

“What's special about being a twin is that I have a support system, so if I see her doing something I'm like, okay, so I can do it too. Or if I see her wearing something I’m like, okay I can wear that too. I do dislike that we have to share everything. I find it annoying sometimes that people get us mixed up, which is a reason why we try to look different.” -Annmarie Muturi

“Okay, I do live with regrets because I feel like I should have done things differently, like in the past. Before I really strengthened my relationship with Christ I feel like I could've done a lot of things differently, like I behaved in such a weird… unrighteous manner, and I feel like even though its a day to day struggle, I feel like I have a lot of regret on the way I handled past situations, with past people, relationships, and all that kind of stuff. But all you can really do is move forward, but I do have regrets.” -Raeven Charles

“My favorite childhood memory was when I first reached the peak of (I forget what mountain it was) a Western Mass mountain, not too far of a drive, just two hours, and it was only about three hours up. But we made it to the top of the mountain at just about sunset, and it was beautiful. It was indescribable. I don't know, I guess it's where a lot of my love for nature stems from.” -Caleb Pimental

“One thing that a lot of people tell me when I first meet them, and that I can sense, that I like doing, is that I try to bring a lot of colors [in what] I wear, and the way I even do my makeup. I have a very warm nature, and like a warm personality, and even when I try to be cold, I cannot seem to find a way to get people to not come towards me.” -Gabby Louis

“I went into freshman year with a boyfriend that was in junior year, our age was aging. I had like 3 people I was close with at the time, and that was like the start to my breaking point. I started smoking. I started drinking. I was skipping. I was beefing with my mother. I ran away. I had the cops called on me. That's literally why my mom sent me to SSCPS. She needed me to go somewhere far. I went to Brockton High, then Champion, then SSCPS. I would not go back to BHS, but I would go back to Champion; it definitely changed me for the better. I think people think my reputation is that I am mean, and I'm a gangster because of where I live. But I think I am a very kind hearted person, and that people walk over me so much more than what most people would think. In everybody’s head it's like, ‘Woah, hold on don’t mess with Deborah, she fights.'  No, I don't fight; y’all just push people to a certain extent. So it's like I think my reputation is what it shouldn’t be because I do think I can be a really kind person, and I love helping people, like, I’m understanding. The people I hang around with, it is very humbling. ‘Cause it's like, you know, the saying who you hang around with is who you are, yeah that's definitely true. ‘Cause like, wow, the people I used to hang around with, but I don't hang around them no more, and I have completely changed. Like my life a year ago and now are two completely different people, and I feel like people can see that.” -Debora Duviella
