𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐀 is conflicted about this situation he has seemed to find himself in. Your a very attentive and honest man, and he likes that about you a lot. He could see the honesty and genuine kindness in your eyes, but... he can see you giving too much leniency to other students often. Freshman dragging you into studying (copying) your notes was his last straw, especially since this is the fourth time it's happened.

While you both are alone inside the conference room he will bring it up and he will chide you for it, at first. He is going to try and teach you how to say no more often, and remind you that other's should be honest as well, but he stops and realizes that's not the way to do things. You've told him about his sterner behavior before being intense, and tries to just stress that they're using you. He just... cares, and it's sometimes hard to show. He's sorry.

The first few instances of you putting your foot forward were very gratifying to see, especially after you stood firm and turned down the other students. Of course, he wants to help, but he knows you have to do it yourself and just let's you do your thing. But something feels like they aren't taking the message.

It seems that the more you put your foot down, the more displeased the other's became. Students like Alpheratz, even though he doesn't agree with it happening, at least can take a couple no's when he cheekily asks you for a peak at your notes. But freshman aren't so aloof, and can feel slighted more often. Spica would be willing to take these students through detention一

一If you hadn't flipped one of the freshman on their back after they grabbed your shoulder. The freshman scattered like the scared children they are, and Spica notes he'll have to track them down later for disciplinary action. For now, he'll overlook them to check on you and walk you to class. You beckoned him over, and he obligated.

𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐔𝐒 is almost the same way with how honest and good-natured he acts, it's like you both were just the sunshines of the school. Fellow students would say you were just too nice as a couple, but they didn't complain. Oh, they wouldn't complain. Arcturus noticed it when he actually was busy with Spica that a fellow student actual got upset he said no...

He was busy? Can he not have time to himself and help Spica as a choice? This small outburst brought to his attention that一okay一maybe he is too forgiving of some requests and does them anyway after not much thought. He thinks on a little bit before hearing a discussion in the hall, and he saw it was you and another student! Oh, hello!

After getting closer, he could hear that you were having a hard time turning this person down gently. You have never been a confrontational man, so Arcturus knew that you were trying very hard, but not succeeding. He took it upon himself to help you, because a good boyfriend helps!

But, it was unexpected that this student would get pissed and grab your lapels to ask you why your not doing this this time, probably wanting something you've done for them in the past. Arcturus freezes up, as this wasn't supposed to happen and he can't believe your being pulled away from him一

一before not being shocked when you grabbed at the wrist holding your clothes and started to pull them away from your clothes. Arty can hear the bones in the other's hand start to pop at the pressure of your grip. They quickly step away, shaking their hurting hand, and stomps off. Your boyfriend checks in on you, as that was scary!

𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐔𝐗 with you is like a "tsundere talking to sunshine" boyfriends trope, and anyone can see it except for the two in the relationship themselves. Pollux will pull and push, and you'll always respond romantically, and the times you push back are when his face heats like a tomato. It's almost sweet, if not for his growing concern that your... a bit too sweet...

Some would call you charming, almost prince charming, but he's sure he's seen you do things you don't care for. Dealing with bullies is harsh as is, but being confronted by another person's bully and being asked to trap their lunch? He's seen you angry before, but your silence is booming as they laugh and pat your back.

You can do it my guy, they urge, you never say no! It was almost surreal to hear that out loud, and so brazenly! How scummy can this student get! Pollux makes the first move by confronting them and telling them off, and trying to get you out of their grip as they were confronted. You start to speak up after the fighting got heated, and everything went quiet.

That was, before the so called ringleader tried to grab your shoulder, and your eyes widened as you were dragged backwards from the grip. Pollux was about to launch forward to help, when he saw you already reaching back to grab the student.

A quick stance change and grip on the student behind you sent the other flying over your shoulder, and crashing into the ground. You start to walk away, looking very upset, and you drag Pollux with you while he blubbers a bit. Of course, he's all for leaving with you, but are you okay? Do you need a drink?

𝐕𝐄𝐆𝐀 is the definition of touch-starved, and if your hugs aren't enough to warm his chest and cheer him up, he's unsure what will. It's... nice to be around his boyfriend, even if he can't muster to accept hugs in public. He's thankful you refrain from PDA at his request, but he's also a bit concerned when he sees you want to... but don't, again, for his sake.

He knows your behavior better then anyone else, and he knows you'll be taken advantage of at this school. Sorry, but it's just true. No matter how nice or charitable you are, someone will eventually be entitled to your time. Of course, you promise your time is only entitled to him (which made him blush) and you'd be more careful.

He can only take your word on it, and he trusts you. He'll go his separate ways in the morning, and if he sees you before breaks it's a coincidence. He can't hear what the others around you are saying, but your not at all pleased. A deep instinct inside him warns him this will be bad, and he matches over.

Before he can get there, hands have already found themselves on your person and he wants to brandish his weapon to ward them off. Yes, it would lead to more paperwork and a visit from Spica, but physical retaliation was all he could think about!

It wasn't even a few seconds before he could touch either you or the aggressors shoulder that he heard bones popping from pressure. From this close, he can see your grip on the other's clasped hand, and they cried out as they backed away. Of course, they are escorted to detention, and Vega checks on you.

𝐀𝐋𝐏𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐙 isn't going to enjoy how gullible you can be, but he does enjoy how kind you are. If he has a complaint for how you do too much for others, he has a compliment on how kind you are and how your a breath of fresh air. But don't think you can get away from his (soft) scolding with affection. He's serious.

Of course, you do have free bodily autonomy so he's not going out of his way to follow you and dictate what you do, that's on you boo. He'll still help out his boyfriend if he needs of it but you know he'll get to your side before you can even ask him to help, as he's always two steps ahead of you... while also being two steps physically behind you.

Now, Alpheratz isn't the nicest person and he knows his aloofness sits with people the wrong way. But he'd never expect people to request you tell him to back off from getting in the way of abusing using your kindness.Now that's just cowardly. At least Alph goes face-to-face with what annoys him...

He's about ready to walk around the corner when he hears the guy call you a bastard and tries to grab your shoulder as you attempt to leave, having seen Alpheratz peaking the corner. If Alpheratz was a tiny bit faster, he might have been in the blast zone, so he's glad he stayed put.

From over your shoulder, the bully goes up and over your back and onto the floor just around the corner. From where he stands, Alph leans down to look at the dazed student and lazily grin. Serves the chump right. But how are you doing?

𝐒𝐈𝐑𝐈𝐔𝐒 definitely benefits from you being gullible, and he can often get the better of you sometimes if you aren't careful. It's never enough to hurt or cause you to lose anything, but sometimes he wastes your time or makes you go in circles. Think about going on the town, him getting "lost", and then giving you "directions". He'll be there eventually and he always kisses you happily.

Having a boyfriend is nice and he will be ecstatic that you two fit so well together, he'll think you're the most adorable guy he's ever dated. He'll tell you your the best and please try not to let people walk all over you today, he's seen you've been bullied lately by the freshman. Of course, you defend yourself and he takes your word for it. Okay, your the boss.

While he was distracted, you grab at the wrist of the student and start to put pressure on it. With a yelp and Sirius basically making this awkward, they slink off shaking their bruising wrist. Sirius, although clearly unamused, does chuckle he also loves your grip strength.

Of course what he says is on your mind all day and you notice most of your requests to help with written homework is... well, just copying! That'll get you in trouble if you share the same teacher with them, and so you finally snatch up your work to put it back up.

And in no time flat, the freshman are offended and try and confront you. They think they're entitled to it and grab at your lapels, when Sirius just seems to slink between you and the ringleader. He's trying to be smooth, but you can tell he's not as happy as his chipper tone suggests.

If you couldn't hear his footsteps behind you, you certainly could feel the arm he'd slink across your shoulder as he looks out at what your doing. Before you was just nature一the natural scenery of just outside the boundaries of the Queen Tet Dorm, to be specific一and you can hear his wonder as he speaks to you.

"Oh, interested in the scenery of our humble abode? I would be flattered..." His eyes flicker from green to yellow, but his smirk barely changes, "But I know that your here on a mission. Don't worry, I won't touch the schools precious equipment."

The eye roll you can hear in his voice did not reassure you that he might leave it alone, but all you can do is just have a little faith. Sirius has an eye for good thinks and genuinely cares for objects of value, and surely he won't rip this expensive camera from your neck. So, you get back to setting up the camera for a wide lens shot, when he tries roping you in conversation...

"So, cameraman, how are your RAW's coming out? Landscape, hopefully." The pun is obvious and he let's out a chuckle at his own joke, and you almost want to sigh.

"The landscape is nice, and I do hope they come out nice," You answer Sirius, finally finding the best lens for the snow, high trees, and distant sunset sky. "Because this will be in the newspaper for the school, and I have a chance to go with composers to the East if I get noticed."

"Ambitious!" It sounds like praise, but then he looks out at the frozen ground of the winter horizon. "But it's the dead of winter everywhere, and this dorm doesn't get this much snow often. You won't find a soul outside of their rooms or class."

From the clothes he was wearing, you'd think he just came from a day on the town. His school uniform was ditched for a long sleeved turtleneck in black, with a thick scarf in grey and red. The pants he wore were a generic straight brand of dark slacks, and his footwear were loafers with white socks peaking out. He was the definition of casual, especially with his hair tied back like he hadn't cared about it at all. A very dressy "dressed down" look for Sirius, and you can see his true personality coming through. Serious, yet lax.

"Hm? But your outside, and you look like you just came back?" You question him, and you hear his hum of dismissal before you add: "Did Spica一?"

"一need anything? Yeah, but nothing of any importance. Paperwork, paperwork, and maybe some coffee." He cuts you off with a flick of his eyes turning blue, his shoulders slumping. "I'd much rather be here, with you." He flirts, stressing the much in his sentence.

"Really?" You snap a set of pictures.

"Really." His smirk widens just a bit.

You check the photos and it just... doesn't feel right. The shine of the afternoon sun on the snow makes it a beautiful pink and orange, and the trees are a dark brown that weave through the last sunlight hours like claws. It looks... fine. But fine doesn't move careers unless your just filling out your RAW portfolio. You need something else...

Something like...

You look up at the casualness of Sirius, and you see his lazy lean on his left leg. His hands are in his pockets, and you can see his fogging slow breaths in the slowly growing frigid wind. The sunset was barely warming the air anymore, and you can see the signs of him only starting to get cold.

He laughs. "Finally you look at me, cameraman..."

"Sirius..." You want to ask, but you know he's the teasing type and you have no idea if he'd enjoy this. Yes, he likes attention, but he's never the type to... outright agree to anything.

"Yesssss?" He practically sings it.

"Would you be my model for my winter portfolio?" You ask him, before you quickly add, "Please?"

"Please? My, nobodies ever been so nice before." Sirius answers, and starts walking forward. "Well, I can't exactly say no to you, can I? Your just too nice to turn down."

You gawk at him as he steps forward into the field before you both, and he turns back to face you properly. He has nowhere to sit and nothing to pose with, so he's casual as he waves his hand at you.

His eyes shine with something mysterious, yet they flash pink. "Well? I have nothing to do, so I'll help out my dear sweetheart. Get over here and lead me through the steps for what poses you want, I'm just the pretty face!"

You both knew that last statement was wrong on many, many levels but you both don't comment on it further. From here, you help him pose and get the shots you want. But in turn, he drills you with flirtatious remarks and maybe even throw a bit of snow at you, no matter how watery it is.

Oh, Jade is the eel with a plan at most to all given moments. Most of the time is when dealing with his fellow students, preparing for tests, and predicting when his mother will end up calling him during the day based on holidays. His instincts are sharpening with Azul as his "boss" and Floyd being at his side, and he is quite sure it'll only get more intense as he knows Azul is looking into expanding the kitchen and tables...

He's extremely displeased when he thinks on what he wants and what he's expecting of his own relationships when Azul asks him to reflect on the last year. Sure, it definitely wasn't what Azul meant to reflect on, but Jade has done all his paperwork and had time to think to himself.

He is displeased with himself when he realizes: he is without your hand in his and he actually finds that... devastating. The thought came when he felt the bitterness in his chest and he put a word to it. The realization that he's actually quite lonely without you goes unsaid to everyone but himself, and he plans.

Oh, he plans. And he makes them as well as he always do...

Weeks. It takes him weeks一maybe a little over two一to ask you to join him for a shopping spree and perhaps stay to cook with him. Floyd and Azul need to be fed after all, and Jade would greatly appreciate the company. His smile after you agree is sweet, if not a bit toothier then his fake smiles.

His first step was taking you out into the many cities he's studied about that sell great foods at lower prices, without really sacrificing quality. The city is great and it's off in the mainland, so the breaks for schools all over the world led to the streets being filled with people and noise. Laughter from groups of kids, haggling vendors, men yelling about their stocks, and it all just blends into the background as Jade takes you ingredient shopping.

It was a good haul you both got, especially with Jade's eye for quality in vegetation, and heading back to campus was a quick call to Floyd... and then a call to Azul because Floyd sent him to voicemail, away. Back onto campus was nice and refreshing, and you head with him to the Octavinelle kitchen to help him cook.

Step two: making sure Azul and Floyd, and some extra staff, are ready to do the decorating while he distracts you. And as you both pass his twin and friend, he gives them a specific signal to send them off when you both disappear. And you both walk to the back.

Cooking is easy to Jade and he puts on gloves (food safety first) as he sets you into peeling anything that needs peeling. Anything that needs to be chopped you already know about, and he watches you in utter glee. Yes, he may have burnt one side of his salmon for his plate, but he will gladly take it as you both have a good laugh at his expense.

The talks you two have are as animated as always, and your an upstanding man as you take your licks from his dry humor just like he takes his own. He takes the gloves off, takes the plates in hand, and makes a gesture towards the main dining area...

"Come with me," Jade says as you look inquisitive at him, "We have a dinner to eat."

Coming into the main area, Jade feels like everything is coming together. Yes, the gentleman's club aesthetic is nice and already high quality for a potential date, but it's something you see every day you walk in. The couches quality eventually escape you, and the dishes aren't as fancy as they once were.

But not tonight. Not on Jade's watch and not on Azul's pride.

The area near the couches is pushed back, and it was replaced by a high table and cushioned chair not dissimilar to the one's near the bar. Jade can recognize they are Azul's prototypes for next year, and smiles as the red drapes on the table glow almost maroon in the deep blue of the aquarium light. The candles are intricate, and a carbonated fancy spritzer is awaiting on the table.

Floyd is nearby, probably because he just didn't want to leave like Azul or the other staff, and Jade can hear how happy and cocky the other sounds. "Ah~! There they are, the happy couple of the hour一!"

You seem taken aback and Jade's grip on the plates tightens as Floyd takes notice that the mood has shifted.

"Whaaa? You didn't ask him out yet, Jade? You guys were taking so long I almost fell asleep!" Floyd continues, as Jade just allows it. The damage has already been done.

Setting the table, Jade sits you both down carefully as the candles barely flicker orange across your drinking glasses. Your eyes have long since been one cleared of confusion about what Floyd was saying, and you looked into Jade with much... anticipation? Jade liked to think that, at the time.

"Jade Leech... did you really set up a whole venue to ask me out?" You sounded not the slightest bit amazed, but more elated then he expected. "And there I was, trying not to hold your hand in the market. I was going to claim it was so we didn't get lost..."

Your relationship together was never one of holding back. Jade was not exactly attracted to people who couldn't hold their own or bounce back from thing's, and he's always liked that you don't sit there stunned for so long you've made it awkward. That'd be unbearable, especially with Floyd looming in the kitchen in-case of emergencies.

Jade smiles back, and he answers honestly. "You'd have ruined the surprise by scrapping my plan at Step Two, and I couldn't have that."

"Always the one who needs control..." You say fondly, with an airing sigh afterwards. "I can't say no to this display. So, Jade Leech, will you be my boyfriend?"

Jade has never felt his cheeks hurt more so pleasantly as he takes your first sentence in stride. "Why, I'd adore that idea." And perhaps, maybe giving you the first move had been just as sweet as anything else to him.

But...

"But as my new boyfriend, I'm afraid I must request you clean the kitchen. I still have to count the register from this afternoon." Jade answers as he digs into his dish below him.

"Dish duty already, I'm getting through the bases fast!" You laugh, and the afternoon goes on.

Ace Trappola × Male!Yuu!Reader × Deuce Spade [ADeuce/Yuu]

Timeline: Ambiguous, but it's at least during Chapter 5. Nobody is known to have any animosity in this writing.

Ace and Deuce are as close as two could ever be, and yet they are as fiery as any Savanaclaw members could ever be when together. The brazen Ace Trappola can get on the nerves of the spitfire Deuce Spade any day at any time, but you can see the rivalry from day one.

Ace, at first, claims he's always so discourteous because Deuce was just some goody-goody who can't let loose. Deuce, at first, claims he's always so mistrustful of Ace because he's far too loud and flippant. Still, even after all this time, they still claim this while eating together at breakfast... lunch... dinner... Unbirthday Parties...

It's obvious to some they have feelings for each other like Trey or Cater, but some are caught by surprise when they are a known couple... like Riddle. It's mostly a shock to everyone, simply because of predetermined thoughts of monogamy, when Deuce first calls you a romantic nickname for the first time.

It sends a shock through anyone who's listening, but thankfully Deuce isn't the type to say anything without you there. You can see everyone's faces go between perplexed, shocked, and stupefied. This was an ice breaker for them, and you know that Deuce was just as nervous as you were while letting it slip when discussing your relationship with Deuce's upperclassmen.

With Ace also later backing you up (he had to go to a tutoring session) it didn't take long for other's to understand your all dating. Nothing wrong with that, and basically the only thing Riddle might slap your wrist for is PDA in the halls.

If your the rambunctious and flirty type, you most definitely have been yelled at for PDA in the halls at least once. So you know at least Riddle gives you no special treatment after his Overblot, even if he's a lot nicer. You might be collared (even with/without magic) if you do it more then twice to either of them, though.

Visiting Ace during basketball club hours can see you getting teased by Floyd as you come in the double doors first thing. "Crabbie, your boyfriend is here~!" If Deuce comes in after at anytime, Floyd will chuckle evilly as he jokes more. He'll repeat, "Crabbie, your [other] boyfriend is here~!" Jamil, if he sees you or Deuce first, just pauses practice unless their already on the field. Practice first, break later.

You and Ace joining Deuce for his club activity it far less eventful as Jack is already apart of your friend group and is generally pretty calm about most things. Seeing you both in the stands, Deuce will send a wave and Jack a nod as they continue practice. Afterwards, Deuce will lean on the bleachers to look up at you and Ace, and he'd willingly take slight teases that he needs a shower ASAP from Ace.

"Henchmen, you'll not kick me out of our room for those two chumps, right?!" Grim will ask one day as the other two plan to stay the night. You'll have to assure him that it's your room (plural), a joint room. "Good! Good... ! But if Trappola pulls that dumb line of sharing a bed again, I'll kick him out myself!"

Definitely, if you can cook for yourself, they'd buy a bit of groceries for you whenever they can. They know you get food from the store and/or the cafeteria, but sometimes they want to pitch in just to help. It's never much because they're freshman that probably would save money for future expenses... but if you want anything specific after your shop run, they'll buy it for a dinner date.

They will be around Ramshackle more often for more then just study dates and the occasional dinner dates, and you can bet that Deuce gets you and Ace on a Blastcycle before long to go the the beach. He tells you both this is his "vent" spot, and now, you all can share these memories here together. Overall, it's fun, as long as you don't get caught by Crowley.

Riddle Rosehearts, who puts up a front that he doesn't have favorites or that he treats you the same as he treats everyone else, but the truth is he's so much more lenient on you. 

~ he lets you get away with breaking rules with no fanfare, especially if you go out of your way to actually try and follow his rules, he sees no issue with letting you slip a few times

~ he just doesn't have the heart to be mean to you

Riddle Rosehearts, who is a gentlemen that does his best for you, but you likely will have to be the one to initiate most things such as kisses or holding hands because he gets so flustered at the very idea of initiating it himself

✧ Ace would be delighted to see you. He'd act all chill and try to play it down, but he loves receiving gifts, especially if it's something that is sentimental or personal. Give this man a friendship bracelet and he'll say he doesn't want it but never takes it off. He just bathes in the attention to be honest, like a cat in the sun. Always brags to the rest of his friends whenever you give him anything. You paid for his drink? Everyone knows within the next two hours. Even Riddle and random people like Malleus and Idia have heard of Ace's Santa Friend™️

✧ Deuce would hurry to get you a gift as well. He probably cried a little when you gave him your gifts ("thank you thank you thank you") and shyly shows them to anyone. He does talk about you often, and sort of imagines you as an older sibling. Isn't afraid of calling you his sibling either. you think it's adorable. Other people are jealous of how close your friendship is, and Deuce hopes he can repay you one day when he's finally become a respectable mage.

✧ Epel would place all your gifts in his room, and would only open them on Christmas. Rushes to get you something you'd like, even if you say you don't need anything. Vil allows him to run around because whenever you're around Epel is much more behaved. (The two of you share Epel's embarrassing stories) Eventually, he gets a little awkward when he receives too many gifts so he asks you to stop for now.

✧ Jack would be very thankful and would make sure you knew. It's likely that you two grew up together, so he's always seen you as an older sibling friend. He of course returns the favour with loads of gifts, but he could also 'repay' you by running errands for you or just doing things you'd normally do for yourself. Really happy you took the time to come to visit him, even though you must be busy. The two of you are so close that many people assumed you were biologically related. which he was very happy about.

✧ Sebek would be pleasantly surprised. He usually only received things when someone wanted them delivered to Malleus but was too shy to approach him. He makes sure to thank you readily, and after he's completed his daily duties, he asks Lilia to accompany him to find a thoughtful gift. Lilia finds it (and your friendship) adorable. The two manage to find exactly the thing you've always wanted.

If you're shy naturally or only have a lack of confidence in your romantic ability, you're probably not going to have the best time with Enma. Oh, it's not because he's oblivious or because he's second-guessing your feelings for him. It's because he's observant, and very good at it.

He's a sensitive person to others and he's very ready and watchful as soon as he sees something is off with you. He's studying a certain page in a textbook and you've slipped a signed note into said textbook earlier after he had gotten up to wrangle Grim back to study. But it seems this page has what Yuuken needs for his homework and it'll be an eternity before he finds the note so far into the book…

"Hey, partner," oh right, you and Yuuken are sharing a presentation project now, "are you okay? You're staring at my textbook. Do you need one?"

Yuuken was far too nice to say it to you, but he knew you had one just in your bag just on the floor. He's courteous, you can give him that.

"No, it's nothing… don't mind me for a second." You answer, quite nervous at being caught. 

He'll notice the sadness and melancholy coming from you as you study your own book later, and ask what's wrong. No matter if you're cool about it or you freak out, his dark eyes will stare you down in silence for a few seconds longer… before going back to reading.

"What's up with the guy?" Ace would complain, noticing your obvious downcast mood and you leaving class faster that day. "He's never been that fast to leave class… well, if it wasn't to chase after Yuuken."

Ace probably knows, whether you tell him or not. Trappola is an observant and nosy kid, and he'll notice if someone is acting strange in the friend group. And especially if someone has a suspected crush… !

Ace won't out you directly, but he can get far too close for your comfort sometimes. Like now.

Deuce and Grim are less likely to find out without a direct hint, and depending on how down bad you are… Ace might just withhold the info to see what Deuce and Grim call your strange behavior. For his own laughs. That, and Ace does want you to succeed… but this is hilarious.

Seeing Ace seemingly know what's going on while Deuce did not made Yuuken give the redhead a stare so judgemental, before Ace gave in and just told Deuce. Of course, Deuce goes, "Oh! I hadn't noticed…"

Yuuken can see your demeanor change far too often when he's around, and he knows you're not this bad of a shaking or nervous mess around him. He's seen how Idia deals with the public, and he's seen you without noticing him yet…

He has an idea why you're acting like that, and he honestly can't believe it. He's not the type to want to pressure someone to tell him the truth, and he'd rather you do so on your own, but he's unsure if you'll ever be able to. Especially with how you can just run away instead of talking to him. 

In the near seclusion of the Ramshackle walls, studying away, he turns to you. He stares you down intensely as he always does, and asks you, in front of Grim no less, "Do you have a crush on me?"

Of course the shaky answers of no, no! doesn't faze him out of staring through your nervousness, and further asking, "It's okay if you do, I would have liked if you were upfront with me. I like you back."

Never has he seen a textbook drop so slowly out of a frozen man's hands. He knows you've heard him, so he'll give you your minute to comprehend what he said. He thinks he hears Grim yelling from him room at the ghosts. Have your answer ready anytime today!

Leona is also someone who doesn't really talk much when he gets bored of someone or upset: he walks away, he hums as he dissociates from the conversation, and/or he stops you right there and chews you out. He's usually very reactive with you and actually listens to you, but he's not going out of his way, y'know...

And he honestly might be the reason you're angry right now. He's sleeping in the grass of the greenhouse, again, skipping class, again... and you were sent to get him! The interaction goes much like how everyone else's with Leona goes (not well, but not from a lack of trying).

He's barely awake after he turns over on you when his ears catch you giving up with an exasperated huff. He smiles at the cute pitched whimpers you hit as you probably thought about returning to class empty handed, a lecture awaiting you instead of him. Ah, your famous pouting noises! He's heard them quite often while in Savanaclaw premises (because of the meatheads all around here fighting).

He is a softy and your anger nags him in the back of his skull, so he rolls over to look at you. Your face is twisted in on itself until he shakes his head at you, smirk on his lips.

He clicks his tongue, "... If I go to class now, will your pout go away? Will your little noises go away? I'll go with you, but I ain't guaranteed to stay awake."

Definitely is the type to speak his mind as long as the person who's against him isn't someone who will fold him in half. He's going to stand up against a freshman or Kalim, but he'd rather slither away from an angry Floyd or upset Malleus if he could. Thank you, no thank you!

Ruggie probably hears your angry pouts and noises often. Not because he's the source of it, but Ruggie seems to always be around some form of misfortune or weird behavior. Freshman in Savanaclaw wrestling and breaking lobby furniture? Ruggie witnessed it, and he just invited you over too! Stuff like that.

But he's definitely very amused, if not cheeky, about your noises. After you go quiet in anger and let out a cute, high-pitched whine, he'll try not to react too much till later. If the situation is important, he's more likely to overlook it, because oh my god this school is full of walking hazards. When it's later, you hear him laughing though.

You can glare at him or look at him in shock, but he'll calm down pretty quick. It's just... he can never get over it! It reminds him of the kids back home fighting each other!

His laugh ends and he holds up his hands. "Whoa! Whoa! Sorry, sorry! Just... it was so serious, I couldn't process how cute you were!"

Oh, his temper is more pride related but he's also commonly mad about genuinely annoying things. He often says his pet peeves involve petty bickering and squabbles so you generally don't get into too much trouble on that front if you're with Jack. But of course, Ace and Sebek are his friends and it's inevitable that someone draws Jack in while deep into conversation.

He's not going to bicker long with them, as they are real friends and this is usually how they get into new topics, but sometimes it gets annoying. Sebek is loud, Ace is goading, Deuce can be obtuse, Epel either yells or falls behind, and usually Ortho is the one keeping track of everything. It's not always this bad but this can go on for a while...

Sighing, pouting, and maybe even letting slip a growl as Sebek yells at Ace and Epel for agreeing against him, but Jack heard it clearly. He leans closer to you and asks if you're okay, because he knows what those noises mean, but you shake your head and tough it out a little longer. Jack promises you that you'll leave soon, promise.

Later, Jack smiles as you both get free time to yourself and you genuinely look happier to finally do what couples do.

His smile was contagious as he says, "I know what those noises mean and I'm sorry we went on a little long. They just catch me off guard and I get absorbed, won't happen again!" Very supportive!

To say his heart was soured for a while would be an understatement, especially when he was with someone he would naturally need for company. Floyd and Azul had been his choices, naturally, but also honest types like Trey and Jamil get a peak at him.

Azul had been honestly shocked that day you said a name that wasn't Jade, because it honestly felt like a bad rom-com deep in his head. A pining flirt like Jade can't be easily ignored unless you're actively avoiding seeing everything he does, so that had been one huge slap to the face... and not to Azul.

Of course, he'll try and fulfill your wishes and attempt to get your crush to notice your efforts. They can't use magic that might be manipulative after all, so Azul does anything he can for you. Gets their full schedule on note, gets their favorite items written down, and algorithms their favorite topics to talk about. But it's your hard work that needs to use it properly, so he leaves that to you.

Floyd is also not pleased by any of this. He may be Jade's sibling, but as a co-worker and seeing Jade give you extra pops on your coupon because he's smitten with you makes his face turn downwards. At first, he didn't seem to register that you said a different name, because he zoned out. He thought this was where Jade and him would have to be sent out of the room as a "show of faith", because you'd fluster and not be able to say Jade's name right in front of him...

But that sounded a lot like someone else. And Jade looked, honestly, more hurt then he'd ever seen his brother hurt before. Of course, the look on Jade didn't last long and Jade became more cordial and flat afterwards, but Floyd looked cross. What? What was this? This just felt icky but he's not good with words, so he just pouts until their alone to ask what's up here.

Later on, Floyd would look at you and ask Jade, "This guy! Look at him, all obtuse!" Jade doesn't stop him, because Floyd is entitled to feel as he pleases. And he's mostly out of it.

But Jade left almost immediately after you did, and only said, "It seems very late. I should go." Before he basically booked it out of there. Floyd wasn't happy about assisting with counting money, but he wasn't going to complain about Jade leaving at all. He can completely understand.

By the time Floyd got back to their shared room, Jade was already asleep. Youch.

Jade, during all of this, will be honest with himself and say that it had hurt to hear anything that wasn't him said in your voice. The sinking in his stomach was like when Jamil threw him from great heights into the desert in Scarabia, and the cold feelings he felt afterwards felt very bitter and chilly to him.

He never thought he'd say this, but his heart hurt for you and he almost felt vicious about it. Why? What was this? What's so special about this rejection? He's been rejected before...

And why does sitting next to you in class, because he had pulled strings a month ago to be near you in your shared class, make his heart flutter again? Your reading Azul's notes and messing with your hair as you stress about if this person will like you back, and this and that and this and that... !

He honestly wanted to ignore this, ignore you... but as you lean into him and ask him what this sentence means (as Azul is a bit too eloquent sometimes), he can only help you. He can't really say no to you yet, and this was his job technically...

As he reads it and tries to process what it could mean, he pushes his hair on his right side back as it scratches his ear. As he does so, he doesn't catch you staring a bit too long at his profile.

He tries to leave class last, but you seem to linger as well alongside him. He really hoped you would leave while entranced by your notes, but you stayed next to Jade as he packs up slower than usual. It can't be helped, he thinks, you're still technically friends.

And definitely, he realizes very quickly how much time you both spent together on a daily basis as the next few days pass. The odd lunch with him and Floyd happens, you always share your breaks together after shared classes, and you usually join him at the café once all your duties are done elsewhere. And that's not counting passing each other in the hall or using a facility like the library at the same time.

If Jade didn't know any better, he'd say he was trying to continue the hurt for himself, because this wasn't helping. And he definitely wasn't getting help from Floyd or Azul to get you to change your schedule somehow... your still special to him.

Maybe you could be friends. It'll take a while, but he'll manage. He's very good at making others perceive himself in a certain manner.

It wasn't long until he noticed that you weren't reading Azul's notes as long as you used to, especially since you often had him translate for you. The papers are not in direct sight for classes, so Jade assumes that you've studied them religiously and properly.

You seemed more downcast than usual, and he hopes that he doesn't hear about you getting together with your crush. That would be too much, especially barely a week past the request from Azul.

He doesn't notice, however, the many things that have turned towards him with you. He had taken to not really looking at you in the eye as much to help his heart stop racing, but it also only helped him not notice that your eyes are far more gentle for you. It seems, something may have changed...

After about two or three more days, Jade's starting to feel more calm about potentially losing you. Of course, after the papers had disappeared he knew he couldn't let this hang him up any longer. It was unhealthy and he knew a week had passed with little change, so he tried to distract himself. Inevitable things are unimportant details, it's going to happen. Seeing you was inevitable. And so he decides to just try his best and try tending the bar again...

... Until he sees you slide up on the bar near after-hours. He hummus as he thinks, it's inevitable. People need food, drinks, and socializing. It's inevitable.

While he begins cleaning the bar and menus, calling for Floyd to send the freshman home before the cleaning starts at closing, he starts to talk to you like it was a week ago. He knows he's been a bit withdrawn, but he won't fault himself. New situation, new faces.

"How are we doing tonight, sir." He greets with his signature hospitable smile, but it's simply a formality for you. "Did you come for drinks, food, or a meeting?"

"Just to wait for your off hours, Jade. I want to tell you something, and hopefully it's not interrupted." You answer, and definitely, it is likely an interruption might happen. This school was full of surprises and chances.

Jade doesn't dare let his mind wander to thinking of anything you might want to talk about. All he knows is your calm, and you're here for him. Nothing else. "Certainly. I'll make an exception to the one drink for loitering rule, just for you."

"Thank you Jade." He always does that for you, breaks an inconvenient rule just for you, but you always thank him anyway.

As soon as the kitchen closes and Jade gets two people to mop the main floor, he finally realizes it's time to talk. Two people as your only potential witnesses is better than nothing. He tosses his towel over the sink and runs hot water to melt the remaining ice, before he's done. And it's time to talk.

"What did you need from me while I was at work? Usually, I hear about most things over text or in class." Jade inquired into what this might be about.

"Well... I would like to talk about what happened in Azul's office." You state, and then add. "Not as his employee! As Jade Leech, you know?"

"... Go on." He really wished he had glasses to polish. Something to dust. Ice to refill.

You continue. "I was going over what I wanted as I read his notes and some of that information... well, it didn't sound like the person I crushed on. Was the person I was thinking of just a public face they had to look more appealing to a certain crowd. Maybe, I don't know..."

Jade wants to laugh, is that not what he also does to a certain degree? Everyone has faces and masks, so what could it be that you found so strange? Of course, Jade didn't really know from his absence gathering information on this particular request, but he's sure Azul has files.

Jade actually feels a bit... calmer? A more natural serene peace, if you want to look deeply. It feels almost like when he hopes Floyd doesn't burn the kitchen and ruin equipment while experimenting in there, and then coming in to see an actual maintained kitchen.

"Well, it's complicated, but something happened and I just couldn't go through with asking them out... I know that my heart's not in the right place and there's just someone I need to be more honest with." You seem sheepish but no less determined as you lean forward on the bar.

"Well, if you've been dishonest the only things you can do are tell the truth and atone. The crime should fit the punishment after all." Jade gives you the push you need to finish what you started, as he will have time to fully answer you if you continue.

And almost as soon as the mops hit the buckets and the two other students left for the back, did you finally confess. "I have been dishonest, Jade Leech. Who I really want to date, would be you, and not anyone else."

He has all the humility of an esteemed host, and the grace of a predator. But it seems even the noble Jade Leech, can turn pink and lose his words.

He'll be surprised, yet relieved that someone can cook and knows not to abuse the kitchenware. He'll also be pleasantly surprised that you chose him to be your taste tester for the meals you make. He would also not turn you down if you made him a bento or lunchbox of any kind for class, it's very sweet.

What catches him off guard is when it happens four days in a row that you've made him lunch, and you leave with a, "I'll be back tomorrow." That makes him look at the lunchbox in surprise that, oh, your doting on him.

Truth be told, as long as you don't give him something that'll burn his tongue off with its spice, he'll eat it. He's not going to eat more than he needs to for his three meals so his teeth don't deteriorate, but he does thank you profusely for caring about him...

... But he does ask, with general curiosity and maybe Ace making fun of him in the back, "Why have you cooked for me everyday this week? I'm not complaining, I just want to know Any special occasions?" He plays it cool.

Of course, it's because you love him and you're very good at cooking, so why not make him something to eat everyday. At least this way you know he's eating healthy and it's what you're doing. Trey chuckles at that.

He's very happy to have landed you as a partner but he's chill about most things you both do. What he's not expecting, but will thank every good force in the world, was for you to be a very generous cook. He's not surprised you can cook, just that he got a generous cook of a partner! Hell yeah!

Does not complain that you feed him lunches everyday or about what you pack him! He's not going to complain if you made him grilled salmon and rice, a fruit salad and a lunch wrap, or fusilli and broccoli. He's eating it all.

The only reasons he questions why you're feeding him so much is because he wonders if you're financially burdening yourself for him. He usually wouldn't care and take the free food but your dating him, and he kinda... cares, y'know?

While getting lunch from you directlyーhe always gets them directly from youーhe pops his question. "Y'know, I've been wondering where you're gettin' all this food. Your dorm can't be finding this fun."

You tell him it's no sweat, because you make extras for Ruggie while feeding yourself. You honestly think of him while cooking, and Ruggie has never signed internally so hard! Thank goodness...

He's not sure if he'll be lying if he said he's surprised he landed a partner. He can be honest and say he expected it later in life, but he's quite pleased with being your partner, you're very talented and he likes that. Seeing you use the community kitchen next to him and actually help with meals is nice, because he can trust you (and not have to taste test all the time like if there was a bigger group cooking).

Definitely was stumped but genuinely pleased about getting the first box lunch, and did enjoy the different flavors from just a lunch he made himself. The second day, it was a little unfortunate that he had made him and Kalim lunch already, but he'll save it for tomorrow...

Definitely wouldn't take offense to all the food, but he's thinking you and him might have to create a schedule for when it's good to make him food. The fridge at Scarabia Dorm is already filled on the regular...

He'll bring it up on a day you both are cooking for Kalim later that week to tell you. "Speaking of meals... We might have to plan your lunches and dinners a bit. It would be awkward if I let your lunch rot because I made my own lunch."

Yeah, that would be best, you have to agree and Jamil is thankful to have such an understanding partner.

Oh, he's very pleased he managed to land a partner such as you and you treat him so nicely. He enjoys you as a person and he is very happy to decide he was worth your time... and he's totally not saying that because your food is very pleasing!

Jade is a foodie while also being a decent cook himself, so he's a bit too happy to take your lunches and definitely not eat it in front of Floyd and Azul. He's very grateful for your food and would actually prefer it over a school meal, just because it's yours.

But he does start making suggestions if you don't cook a lot of a certain type of food (because it's your weak point and/or you didn't think he'd like it) to get you on a cooking date. Definitely would share the Octavinelle Dorm kitchen with you and makes normal food without any of his special additions into it.

While he's cooking a sort of lunch for you in return for all you've done for him, he taste tests your dish with a smile on his face. "Quite splendid. I'm very happy you decided to take time to cook with me today... but you could use some mushrooms."

You want to tell him that mushrooms and what you're cooking can't mix, but then you remember it's not your lunch... and you give in. He gives you a kiss on the cheek for allowing the mushrooms.

Jack definitely feels proud that there's someone else who knows how to care for cacti, and he happened to be dating him! He sees the act of sharing hobbies, at least one, with you as something good. He knows his parents like to share activities together and sharing hobbies with you reminds him of how close you two could be.

Once the topic of cacti is brought up and you both know about each other's like for cacti and succulents, Jack offers to bring you to his little guy and also the ones he has in the greenhouse.

Of course, he's more happy to hear any praise from you about the ones in his room because those are nurtured by him personally. The greenhouse ones he'll also take praise for, but he'll also take help with them as well.

The rehousing of cacti is now much easier with two of you as one can wear the gloves or hold the cacti in tongs while the other prepares the soil and pot. The 10-10-10 fertilizer you use during the summer months usually is carried in by you, while Jack does the digging. That can flip-flop easily, anytime.

During winterーwhere you don't have to take care of them as muchーyou two can date more and usually forget about cacti based hobbies for, perhaps, snowboarding or skating. Jack loves both of them, and is glad to forge new passions with you.

When summer is still high and cacti are numerous, he'll enjoy arranging multiple plots of arranged species in those plots. Various cacti species can coexist in one plot and he enjoys arranging them, and would love your input on that. He also would like to share input as well, especially when it's your own plots your arranging.

During the afternoons, students near the greenhouse see Jack and another student outside with a wheelbarrow or trolley full of cacti getting more natural sunlight. Jack and the student are often in full lab wear and covered in dirt, laughing or just talking.

Fellow greenhouse frequenting students will answer, "Oh, they're just taking all the cacti for natural light. They do that for two hours whenever they can, leave them be please."

Would definitely let you dress up the cacti if you want, but is obviously very worrying about the spikes. Wear gloves and use tweezers please, he would prefer if a large spine didn't puncture you for the troubles of a tiny hat. He won't dress them up, but that won't stop him from judging the colors and styles you choose. If you get the cacti a suit jacket, he'll judge you (affectionately, but also with confusion).

Rook allows a lot to happen right before his eyes as a way to enjoy the beauty and messing about of his fellow students. The hustling of Octavinelle for a work day or the slow gaunt of those in Savanaclaw, it matters not to him. He's not one to pounce on something that is still developing and not yet complete, unless it was dangerous to begin with.

Seeing you try and prepare your part of his party for this year, for this Birthday of his, makes his face light up greatly. Your part of the preparations was something you did best and your hands go decently fast across it, and he sees you finish in no time. He himself was leaning on the doorframe just outside the room you were using to store the items in the school, and he mostly stayed silent.

How sweet and beautiful a scene this was! You were so caring, so daring! It was so good to see you putting your best skills to work and helping make these for him! His birthday... being graced with your work. Everyone is working so hard, it's so splendid!

With nearly a quiet step back and to the left, he slowly begins walking past the room with a joyous smile on his face. It may not be a surprise anymore (if it could even be with Birthdays as mandatory) but he'll act like it, just for you and everyone else's hard work.

After you trust him enough to tell him, and find the time as well, he thanks you for telling him. He's noticed you have irregular times you disappear and the teachers allow you to leave class often, but he's never pried into it. Riddle thanks you for telling him, and explains he does know about interstitial cystitis well.

His mother has taught him well, especially in medicine and health, and he's happy to be of service during the day if you need him. He knows he has no say on what you do or getting anymore info than you're willing to share, but he'll try and make Heartslybul more accomodating.

He'll have non-carbonated drinks more accessible for everyone and have teas that aren't agitators in stock for your visits. If you'd just like water, that's an option too. He'll have a lot of non-caffeine based foods ready for Unbirthday Parties if you join, and Trey also helps prepare things that lack Vitamin C. If there is anything you needーand he means anythingーall you need to do is ask.

Will be understanding if you can't wear the typical dorm uniform with its belt and form fitting button ups, and is willing to hear Ace complain about it. Leona and Floyd are his usual victims, but Ace is close behind. Be prepared for Ace to yell, "The Housewarden isn't scolding you for being out of uniform?!"

Sadly, anything else is out of his control and he can only support you on the sidelines. He could help remind you to take medication or perhaps help you plan for urologist visits in timely manners, but he can't do much else. If there is anything else you personally need, he'll help you. Always. If you joke about "in sickness and in health", Riddle might turn pink.

When you started to date, he would notice early that you don't eat a lot of stuff cooked by the chefs for Savanaclaw. He usually cooks things from scratch items and you usually eat his food unless they have spices and high salt contents. He picks up on it, and he asks if you have anything dietary going on. Of course, you tell him at this point.

Definitely needs you to tell him what it is and anything important of note from your end, because he's not too knowledgeable on that. After he gets the gist, he perks up and promises to put in some efforts for you.

Would definitely encourage baggy/loose clothes, especially since Savanaclaw students don't really care for tight uniforms either. Mandatory for them doesn't mean it's mandatory for you! If you also need any exercise done as well for your continued health, Savanaclaw is home to the best and most expansive equipment on the whole campus.

He's usually not one to waste food and he also knows that food with certain dietary benefits can be expensive, so he tries to show you alternative home specialties based on his grandma's recipes! If you like fish, he can do a lot of things with it, or he could even dry out some beef or lamb if you like. Definitely also gets you sunflower seeds if you like those, he snacks on them often.

But it's still going to be difficult for him sometimes to help you. Ruggie knows stress won't help you and sitting for too long can cause irritation, especially on the stomach. He doesn't forget about it, per say, but he does lose track of what too long sitting is or gets confused about what your bladder diary is for... but he tries!

Most likely, he figured something was wrong when you didn't eat or partake in any food during his banquets. You did eat green vegetable based dishes, but anything with too much spice was skipped over. Kalim almost just wrote it off as someone not liking spicy food, but Jamil seemed unpleasant after Kalim admits he didn't ask you for your favorite foods. He doesn't slave away just for Kalim to ignore his partner,..

When Kalim asks you if there was anything you need, you do admit you have a medical condition in your lower abdomen. Once you're vague about it, it's almost like you told him something devastating! He screams in shock and asks what it is and if he could help in any way! Of course, to calm him down, you'll have to explain in full.

Kalim will accommodate you in so many ways, it's almost too much. Telling Jamil your diet plan would be best since food for Kalim is shared with you often. But Kalim tries asking about your doctor's visits and how much you might need for that... you'll have to turn him down or this will become a trend.

Definitely tries to teach you how to dance if you're willing to share that form of exercise with him, but will understand if you want to stick to another regimen. Scarabia has a lot of baggy/loose clothing, so you'll fit in if you wear anything like that in Scarabia Dorm.

Kalim is definitely the most enthusiastic about learning from you, and does so in... extravagant ways, but he doesn't try buying you a doctor anymore! He promises! Do you want to go flying on the magic carpet, that always calms Kalim down! ... Oh, right... Stress is bad. Maybe something else!
