[perspective: Coral Hymnoldt]

The individual with the camera is firing at Salmonids with a Hydra Splatling nearby the basket on low tide. He jumps away from the basket for a bit to collect an egg, and ended up getting cornered by two cohocks.

"Ugh! Remember to take out the damn lessers! I can't do shit with a hydra!!"

A large octoling with a Luna Blaster jumps down from a higher place and splats the cohocks cornering the carrier of the camera.

"Don't diss the hydra like that!"

"Says you!"

The shift goes on as planned, but the carrier of the camera stops for a moment, looking off into the shadows. Standing there in the dark seems to be a Salmonid with bright blue eyes.

"Specter's here."

A small inkling with a sloshing machine makes a small appearance on the camera feed, looking in the same area.

"Recon it's causing this chaos?"

"Doug, we're high EVP. It's normally this chaotic. And I've seen it before, it's just watching like normal."

The camera goes static for a moment, cutting to even more chaos. The ground was shaking, and Salmonids were running, not even trying to advance on the team. A lanky Inkling trips over her own feet, looking up at the individual with the camera for a moment, eyes wide with terror. The individual with the camera suddenly rushed at the inkling, pushing them out of the way as the camera goes fuzzy again, changing to a view of a monster so massive the camera couldn't catch it.

It cuts again to a view away from the Megalodontia that appeared, the individual with the camera running at it without a weapon.

"CINDY!!"

He pulled a injured inkling away from a snapping jaw, getting a look down the monsters throat before continuing to run.

"I got you, I got you!"

A octoling takes the injured employee into her arms, holding them close. The inkling is alive and awake, but is silent with terror.

"We need to get the shell out of here before that thing actually takes one of us!"

The beast gives chase, blank blue eyes glittering in sadistic joy of the chase. It pushed against the tight walls of the spillway, screaming in joy. The group turns back and runs to higher ground, finding themselves at the edge of the stage.

"Are we gonna have to jump?"

"...no, but we need the helicopter."

The helicopter comes into view, and the group screamed for its attention. It diverted its path so that they could jump in, and the individual with the camera called for the team to escape. As they got in, the monster roared with rage, snapping at the helicopter with sharp teeth as it flew away.

"Is Cindy okay?"

"...I'll be..."

"Shit shit shit shit-I got to report this...fuck."

Big Run status updaaaaateeeee ^v^

Things are going ✨AMAZING✨ so far!! We found that nobody had been caught in the crossfire when Big Run started!! Great job to the turfers for being able to hold back on going to Undertow before the Big Run started, so proud of y'all :3

Our team have encountered a few Triumvirates, but it's nothing we can't handle. There have been sightings of the infamous Specter, but it seems to have taken a backseat compared to the last few Big Runs! I heard it's going to therapy, so so so good job!!

Keep up the great work everyone!! Remember to stay safe out there!!

Me and the squad will be on the front lines like we've always been. Wish is getting nervous. It's either because of my anticipation, or because she too can sense the change in atmosphere that brings forth the red skies. She's gone through like, two of them?

She still doesn't know that it's her people who are the ones invading. She'll learn eventually as she grows up, but I don't know how she'll take it. She isn't being raised around any Salmonids, that's for a fact.

Oh well. Just a reminder to stay safe out there if you do plan on running. Things can get dangerous out there in a split second.

Hey, guys! You all seem so cool, I can't wait to see more of you! :D

I've never had my own team for Salmon Run before, so I was wondering... what's it like working together? Do your friendships outside of Grizzco translate well on the battlefield?

Thanks for the ask!! The rest of the team are busy on shift at the moment, and I kind of just stretched one of my tentacles in a weird way so now my leg hurts, so I'm sitting a few shifts out.

I personally find it easier to work with these guys than with freelancing randoms. It's probably because I know how they act, and they are predictable. Coral and Lysa are constantly on the move, hunting down bosses, while Doug is usually avoiding conflict and picking up eggs. Coral says I'm a good all-around player, and that's a compliment.

We actually met on the job! I joined the squad during Eeltail Alley Big Run last year, where it was so chaotic that I needed to be trained on the job. Grizz gave me to Coral's group, and we've been friends ever since. I will say that our friendships translate well on and off the battlefield, even with issues we sometimes face. We had a bit of a falling out last year, but we're doing better now that Coral isn't constantly pushing to do back to back shifts over and over again. You should've seen him before Grand Run, he was crazy!

So yeah, I hope my rambles answer your questions. Thanks for the ask!!

Good morning/afternoon/evening citizens of Chumblr. Me and my squad ended up joining the party together, and we made a whole blog to share just for the fun of it (it was a three vs one vote. I was the one against it, but I guess we're here now sooo)

Let me introduce ourselves. We are the Humboldt Unit, a high-ranking Grizzco Unit that is in high EVP ranks (think 800 to 999). It was founded after the first Undertow Spillway Big Run, and has grown to become a full squad recognized by Grizzco higher ups. Inside the job, we're among the best, but outside the job, we're a group of unlikely friends.
